Would recommend this to anyone! First thin crust pizza I have loved and best pizza I have ever had!

Great little pizza place the pizza is great service is great, fives you the feel of a local by pizzeria. Only reason I took 1 star was last time we ordered a chicken parmesan hero saw a little hair on it, ended up throwing it away. Need to be more careful guys but otherwise great place.

It’s 2016 and a pizza place that doesn’t deliver and doesn’t take credit cards? It has to be amazing to still be here, and it is. I like to pride myself on being a literal pizza expert(seriously, it’s three-quarters of my diet) and John’s is seriously some of the best I’ve had. I bring everyone I can here and they all agree this pizza competes and exceeds pizza anywhere. Keep up the good work, I’ll keep eating!

Love the pizza here! I always get a veggie pie and it comes out to perfection every time! Umberto is the owner and the nicest guy around. Love the business and the food. Definitely come here at least once a month for a pizza night.

Best pizza in the area. Truly a Glen Rock institution. Owners are some of the finest people you’ll meet. Great prices, great staff, great food. Would recommend to anyone in the area or passing through. If you haven’t been, go.

I’ve always preferred local pizzerias instead of those«chain» restaurants. Pizza here is absolutely amazing, their plain slice brings back memories of New York style pizza that I ate growing up. Umberto has a great personality and friendly towards his customers. Can’t complain about the price either. His portrait picture on the wall is hysterical.

Has anyone who’s given this place more than 1 star for their pizza ever eaten pizza anyplace else? We ate here tonight and it was one of the worst pizza experiences we’ve ever had. We got a large fresh garlic pie with half pepperoni. The crust was soggy and soaked through with grease and barely edible. We ordered a whole pie after reading the reviews here with the hopes that we could bring the leftovers home for lunch tomorrow. We left half the pie on the table for them to throw away. The one star is there for two reasons: — Unilocal won’t let me give zero stars — The people who work there were very nice.

The greatest pizza in the world! The staff is amazing, they are the friendliest people ever. The food is spectacular, I have yet to find a better pizza than john’s boy. The prices are great. I’ve been going here my whole entire life and have never had a bad experience.

A hometown joint with great pizza, a warm atmosphere, and the nicest owners you can find… super gracious. I wish all restaurants tried half as hard as Umberto, Patti and the team. Glen Rock is lucky to have John’s Boys.

I visited John’s on my way through New Jersey and it was delicious! The large pizza was huge, but my friend and I were able to eat the whole thing in one sitting. The pizza however was really saucy and the Caesar salad wasn’t very good. Overall it was a fun and friendly atmosphere.

Simply the best pizza outside of NYC. Umberto is a great guy who treats customers right and is a pillar of the community. The Penne Vodka sauce pizza is crazy good. The pickled cauliflower and carrots on the house salad are a secret gem.

Growing up on Rodney Street behind John’s I’ve had the pleasure of eating this pizza too many times to count. It is by far the best pizza around and has a wonderful staff. Umberto and Patti have done an amazing job of carrying on John’s legacy throughout the years. I guarantee you will not be disappointed.

Real local NJ Pizzeria. Can be tough to find, it’s just a door on Rock Road in Glen Rock. Price is right and service is friendly. Might not be the cleanest place in the world, but hey it’s a pizzeria serving up great slices.

What can I say besides: best pizza in town. Don’t try to get fancy here with toppings, exotic gourmet creations, etc. Just order a pizza, and you will be in pizza heaven :) The owners are angels. We love Patti and Umberto. Oh, and the pizza too!!!

The pizza is delicious! You can tell they use the finest ingredients and make the food with love. My pizza was thin, crispy and pipping hot. The place is kept very clean and tidy which reveals a sense of care and pride for there establishment. For a mushroom & Margarita slice, it came out to $ 5.35, but hey you get what you pay for which is quality.

I’m a Brooklyn native. My man-friend is a New Jersey native. Needless to say, we don’t always see eye-to-eye on pizza. However, one place we can agree on is John’s Boy. A good measure of a pizza place is their regular slice and John’s Boy’s regular slice is really freakin’ good. It’s thin and crispy. Best of all, their prices compared to a mediocre Manhattan pizza joint are on point for a really solid product. Whenever we take a trip to New Jersey we ritualistically make a stop to John’s Boy. Almost makes me look forward to visiting the in-laws, *wink*

Decent pizza ! Nice think crust, tasty sauce and cheese was pretty good but sometimes too thick in some parts. Not the best I’ve ever had in this area but 2 slices and a soda for less that $ 5 and I would go back ! It’s a tiny place, really narrow and if you walk past the door you would miss the whole place. The décor is kind of dumpy, weird sport posters and local signs but it has a charm of its own.

Johns boy is a little slice of heaven. Literally, it’s shaped like a big slice. Umberto the man running the show gets all my respects. The man is a master of his craft. He’s also so Italian he uses olive oil as tanning lotion and garlic salt as deodorant. But that’s besides the point. This place has the best vodka sauce I’ve ever had. Put it on anything. Chicken eggplant or even pizza. My one issue is they don’t deliver. Makes me have to get off my fat ass and go stuff myself with Italian greatness.
