Best thin crust pie I have had in years… and I am from Brooklyn! Stopped here off route 208 on a trip back from the pocono mountains. Pepperoni and Mushroom Thin Crust Pie!

I love the pizza but the sauce and chicken for the chicken parm entrée didn’t do it for me… dad and I aren’t that impressed…

Fairly good pizza. Comically poor delivery service. I moved to Fair Lawn a little over a year ago. I searched through reviews for the best pizza. Most folks swore by Ness Pizza. Some others preferred Turvino’s in Glen Rock. Ness is definitely better, but Turvino’s pizza really isn’t bad, and Turvino’s always has coupons for cash pick up orders, so I simply got used to picking up Turvino’s on family pizza nights. The girls working the counter are always friendly. On the other hand, Turvino’s delivery service is a cluster-farce. Without exception, the wait was always a minimum of an hour and change. It’s also random luck when the delivery matches the order. At first it was comical. Now I just don’t bother. I was recently at a charity function and some of the food was donated by Two Guys, a pizzeria I hadn’t heard about. Really generous of them, and delicious too. So I just gave them a try when ordering for the family. Very good experience. I haven’t enough experience with them to categorically recommend them. But I’d say it’s definitely worth a try.

While I admit I’ve only had the pizza here, it is quite possibly the best pizza currently in Bergen County. Not only is the pizza great… and just as delicious when reheated as fresh… but the service is always with a smile and aside from a very pleasant staff, there is a very peaceful and relaxed ambience to the place if you are looking for quiet dining. Sometimes I like to go there not only for a good slice of pizza, but as a place of solace after navigating the busy, chaotic highways of nearby Paramus. Great pizza, soothing atmosphere.

Best pizza! Had 2 lunch specials and a meatball parm hero and 3 drinks $ 24.10. Potato and bacon soup — omg so delicious ! Rocket hot, have to wait a while for it to cool to a normal temperature. Worth it though ! Meatballs that Italians will eat !! Eggplant was pretty good. All the food is delicious and extremely hot and service is pretty fast. Only 4 stars because the décor is mediocre. But the food is delicious !!

I had the most delicious wrap here the other day, i live 5 minutes away and never tried this place, probably bc there are so many pizzerias in the area. I can’t wait to come back and try the rest of the menu!

Used to be my favorite place. I noticed a change in the sauce recently. Can’t quite figure out what spice it is, but to me, it changed the entire taste of the pizza. Ruined it for me.

This is me and my Partner’s favorite place to go for a great pizza pie and wonderful antipasto. The chicken parm dinner is delicious and their prices are more than fair. The staff is very friendly especially Becca and Tracey. It’s also a BYOB

Still a reliable place to get New Jersey/NY style pizza. A go to place for my family when in the area.

Everything from this place is awesome! I usually get the penne vodka pizza or the chicken bacon ranch, both are amazing. The portions are big and get a lot for your money

One of the best pizza spots in Bergen County. The size of slices is pretty large and the Garlic knots are the best around. They offer great specials at lunch.

Always friendly, good food, big portions; I lived really close then moved about 10 miles away but would rather come here then something a block down from me. Definitely my go-to pizzeria.

While hanging by my friends pool a week or so ago we decided we need to order up some food! Turvino’s was suggested and we ordered rite away. We ended up ordering an Italian sub, two salads(cobb and gorgonzola), 2 slices and a chicken parmigiana. The delivery was super quick and we asked the woman taking the order to have the delivery guy walk in the back yard where the pool was, and he actually did it. I can’t tell you how many times I have asked people to call when they arrive or enter the back yard and they just don’t listen. not the case here. The food arrived hot and fresh with a smile. Everything was great and just as we asked for it to be prepared. My cobb salad was so refreshing and the perfect amount, I really liked the hard boiled eggs in it. Only thing was we asked for the salads to come with breaded chicken but they gave us grilled. that being said I didn’t care being I was sitting by a pool in a bathing suit, grilled was a better option. The gorgonzola salad was really good with that raspberry vinaigrette. The Italian sub was amazing! We asked for the oil and vin to be put on the side so it doesn’t get soggy on the way over and it was perfect. The chicken parm was delish as well covered in melted mozzarella cheese and sauce mmm mmm mmm. The two slices must of been good as well because they were devoured in minutes. Overall great place to grab a quick bite or have food delivered.

Ate in a few weeks back & I ordered a Salad, and it was just ok. A fellow guest had a veggie wrap that didn’t sit well with her at all. Brought home a buffalo chicken pie and have been back for a 2nd at a later date. it is really great!

It took them an hour to deliver 4 plain slices and an order of ravioli. The person who answered the phone was delusional. She didn’t know what fra Diablo sauce was. If you work at an Italian restaurant you have to know your stuff. When it came the delivery man was very nice. When I ate the pizza it was ice cold. My grandfather asked for light sauce on his ravioli and what he got was ravioli in a pool of marinara sauce. Domineco’s in river road is a lot better.

I have been coming to Turvino’s since before it was Turvino’s. 40 or so years ago it was called Momma’s & Poppa’s and it was the first pizza place this side of Glen Rock and may have been the only pizza place in Fair Lawn at the time besides Ness. I remember waiting on line for them to open the first day. The ovens were in the front of the store as was the counter. Tables were in the back, much the reversal of the current layout. The owners were the Frattone’s who lived around the corner on Jasper Rd. Back then, and I am dating the crap out of myself, 2 slices and a soda were under a dollar. I remember when the price went over a dollar because my father wanted to know where his change was. It was about a 10 – 15 minute walk from my house and we were there literally all the time. Mrs. Frattone was awesome. If you ordered a cup of water she figured you didn’t have enough money and gave you orange soda. But that’s not where this story begins. Before Momma’s & Poppa’s they were Nibble & Chat, an open hearth burger joint with the cooking area in the back behind the counter and seating much the way it is today. We used to walk there for lunch when I was in elementary school on those rare days when my mom wasn’t picking me up for lunch. Back then there was no school lunch option. No one’s mother worked so we we would always go home or to this nice lady Mrs. Covello’s house who fed kids whose parents worked to make a few bucks. I have a deeply entrenched relationship with Turvino’s. I had my first ever date with the now ex-Mrs. Jeff S, the mother of my children there. The food is always good. The waitresses decidedly amateurish but make up for it with their awesome attitude and demeanor. I mean, when you’re like 12 years old waiting tables you’re going to be kind of amateurish. Actually at 12 you’re gong to be amateurish at just about anything. They’re not really 12, by the way, but at my advanced years, estimating age can be difficult. I am not sure what percentage of their business is delivery but I think it’s a lot. There have been literally hundreds of times when I’ve heard the words, «Turvino’s, pick up or delivery?» Pizza always arrives hot and delicious. Anyway, that’s my trip down memory lane. Hope you enjoyed my mindless drivel and have the opportunity to make it to Turvino’s. Who knows, maybe you can even take your future ex-wife there. Perpetuate the tradition and all.

This is a good place to stop in and get a slice for lunch. Slices are big and filling. I like their buffalo chicken slices the best. Plain and pepperoni slices are decent as well. Their soups are good too. I’ll update if i try anything else off the menu. The staff in there is very nice as well. All in all not a bad spot.

Turvino’s is good for delivery, take out or dining in. Their delivery is pretty quick too. Their dining area is small but not too small. I’d say it’s just right for a pizzeria with 10 – 15 tables. I find their pizza and most of their food, in general, to be just average. We live in an area where we have the best pizza in the United States right here, around every corner. Thank the pizza gods you live in the NJ/NY area! By comparison, Turvino’s comes out average. This is my boyfriend and his family’s go to pizza place so I’ve had it many times. The sauce is tasty but their crust is too doughy because they don’t cover the dough well enough with sauce and cheese. They leave a lot of room around the edges so you have too much crust(and I love crust). I think it’s because they’re being lazy and cheap rather than because they have a personal preference for crusty pizza. I could be wrong though. I find that their food is always disheveled and ugly looking. I feel like they put no love or pride into making their food and presenting it to their customer. They just throw stuff in the box or on a plate and move on with it. I’ve had so many sloppy looking wraps and pizzas that had toppings thrown on without any rhyme or reason. It’s never affected the taste or quality though; just looks like shit.

After growing up in Fair Lawn and going here after every football/baseball game as a kid Turvino’s has a lot of memories for me. This latest visit gave me some new memories, and I probably won’t be returning again. Food was OK, nothing better or worse than any other average Italian/pizza place in the the area. The issue was the service, the girl at the counter with the tattoos was about as pleasant and friendly as the inside of a dead trouts mouth. They handed me my order and then stopped me to come back to pick up the rest of it, I asked if it was all there originally mind you. Felt like I was intruding on the staff while I picked up my food. Sometimes, memories are not enough to give a place another chance.

This is by no means«Fine Italian Dining»; but its not meant to be. Its good pizza and pasta… and for some reason after moving across the united states to San Francisco, 17 years later this is the pizza I miss most. Could time have clouded my judgement? Could I have fond memories because this is where I used to get pizza after high school sporting events? Maybe, but when my wife and I visit NJ next year, this is the first place we’re going to get a pie.
