A friend and I went to Yeoman’s Kitchen the other night(in the pouring down rain) and had one of the best pizza’s around. Local and organic ingredients DO make such a difference — just delicious and maybe even good for you? The service was first rate and we opted to sit outside as the heavens emptied just feet from our table. A truly exceptional dining experience and one of the coziest places tucked into the foothills of the Catskills. And the price was right. Would recommend Yeoman’s to anyone who wants a down home, healthy and scrumptious meal. Looking forward to going back with more friends in tow.

This is only a review for the pizza, because that’s all I ate there. I’m from NYC and go to Glen Spey some weekends, and I can tell you the pizza at Yeoman’s is AMAZING!!! Seriously. If you live anywhere in the vicinity of Glen Spey, it’s well worth the trip. Literally everything about this pizza is delicious. The sauce, the cheese, the toppings and seriously the BESTCRUST you have ever tasted! Can’t wait until I go back to Glen Spey to try it again.(FYI we had a pizza with sausage and green peppers, I think it was called ‘The Fair’ – highly recommend it). The fact that it is organic really makes a difference – I was told that Mike(the guy that makes the pizzas) buys all the ingredients that go into the pizza from local farms; so if you weren’t already convinced you had to go to Yeoman’s, this fact should encourage you to go even more. At the moment it’s BYOB(which is great as this saves you money) and there’s a gas station just down the road to pick up beer from in case you forgot yours, which is what we ended up doing. The waitress was extremely nice and chatted with us for quite a while, they even let us select the music(if you’re from NYC this is unheard of) and we played billiards. There was some music equipment(guitar, etc) for whoever wanted to walk in and jam, and also a bookshelf or two stocked with books to just chill out and read. Like I said, can’t wait to go back to Glen Spey to go again! Hope this place attracts enough customers to stay open because it really is an asset to the community. PS: As stated on their facebook page, they’re open Wed — Sun: 4:00 pm — 10:00 pm, but it wouldn’t hurt to give them a call to double check since it’s a new place and they might change the hours
