We chose this office with some trepidation, as the reviews I could find were mixed. My son needed to be seen for severe acne. We arrived 15 minutes early for our appointment, but an hour and 15 minutes later, we still had not been seen. I finally stepped up to the receptionist window to ask how much longer; I expected to be ignored or at best answered dismissively. Instead, one of the physicians, Nicole Madera, came to the window; apologized for my «ridiculous» wait and then said she was done with her patients so she would see us if we didn’t mind. WESOLUCKEDOUT. She listened patiently to my teenage son’s description of the issue, she was thorough, compassionate, and OHSOHELPFUL. We began the red tape fun of Accutane and she and her assistant were with us every step of the way. She didn’t mind follow up phone calls; any voice messages were returned within 24 hours; she was always looking for ways to help us save $(insurance nightmares). My son and I truly wish that she was a family practice doctor. All of our follow up visits were timely. I don’t know if the rest of the practice is a 5 but I know that Nicole and her assistant definitely are.

Had a Moh’s procedure done on my scalp. The procedure appeared to have gone well as the doctor(Juracek) only made two passes at the site. My disappointment came with the post-procedure care and follow-up. I was told that Advil would be sufficient. WRONG! By the 3rd day, I had consumed ghastly amounts of Advil and had reached my pain limit. I called and asked for something stronger and they said they could only give me a prescription in person… at the office! It was the end of the day and I couldn’t have made it out there in time. I angrily told them that they should have erred on the side of caution and provided me a limited prescription in case I needed it. They dodged the statement and finally called back to say they could call in Tylenol #3(with codeine). While those pills helped, those first three days were terrible. Secondly, there was not a single follow-up phone call from anyone on the medical staff. Hell, my dog’s vet calls after a visit to check on him. This is easy to fix and improve, but I doubt they’ll bother.
