I have been going to AYF Camp as a camper, and later a counselor, since the early 90s. This is the best place on earth, and I can’t wait to send my daughter there as soon as she’s old enough!!!

I can not put into words how wonderful this camp is. The camp has raised GENERATIONS of kids who have fallen in love with the place, the people, and the atmosphere. Kids go there to not only have a great time, but to meet new people from ALLOVERTHEWORLD, learn about their history and heritage, and participate in fun activities. if you’re child enjoys interacting with his/her peers, participating in activities like canoeing, swimming, rock climbing, archery, and arts and crafts, and wants to learn about their heritage, THISISTHEPLACEFORTHEM!

Hooray for AYF Camp!!! Now I’ve been going to this camp since the wee age of 7 or so. Since I can remember, I’ve been extraordinarily excited to attend summer camp, and weekends in the winter. Now my own private walk down memory lane may not mean much to all you Unilocalers, but being able to rent the facility just might… In the last five years, the campsite has undergone some major renovations. The cabins have been remodeled and renovated – painted, fixed, whatever you wanna call it. The main lodge and kitchen has been remodeled. The kitchen’s got new and refurbished appliances. The pool has finally found itself in the right – no longer the suspicious algae pool. Hee hee! So, if you do happen to be interested in renting the facility, there are many ways to go about it: Their website: Their phone number:(818) 2427494 Their address: 104 N. Belmont #203 Glendale, CA91206 The camp itself is located near Wrightwood– 22214 Big Pines Hwy. The website is really great – lots of history about the actual camp, rental information, even the dates available for rental. I love this place. The smell of pine trees, campfires, and yes, even that camp-sand-beige color all bring up the best memories of the place. Hopefully you can find a reason to rent this facility and create some of your own wonderful memories.
