Good food, really, really, really bad service. So slow at being served we saw server offering free meals to other people who were fed up with waiting. We paid for ours as we did not complain but will not go back again. The server also did not come back and check on us at all, not even for refills. It was busy, but they should have been prepared.

Always get in quickly on any weekend. The food is great and never leave disappointed. The staff is hit or miss when it comes to servers. I have had some really great service and other times I have had to wait 20 minutes to have my bill brought to the table.

Our 3rd visit. I picked this place for a Mother’s Day outing. Bad choice. Service was not great, food tasted as if it was sitting there pre cooked and warmed in the microwave. Waitresses looked like they were run over by a truck so tired and walked around with frowns, dirty tables and floors. just felt dirty. Looks like they could use better management. Tea was good. We plan to not return. Expect more for the prices. Such a shame.

Well we tried to eat here today for Father’s Day. We walked in and almost fainted from the stifling steamy hot atmosphere. I mean I know it’s going to be 117 today but this was like a sweat lodge and I only weigh 107 lbs ! Then we were taken to the tiniest table I’ve ever seen in a restaurant and my husband is 6’3 and 230 lbs. at that point we decided to leave. Maybe will try again in the fall.

I thought this place was amazing. We went in for a late weekday breakfast and were seated immediately. Many things on the menu looked good, I had the almond French toast, and it was incredible, but very sweet. My wife had a four(!) egg Greek omelette that was also very good and absolutely stuffed. Servers were very attentive. Prices were about $ 10 per entrée.

I’ve given this restaurant not only one… but three shots and every time I left more disappointed than the last. The first time, I was unimpressed by their bland menu. I had the french toast and it was okay. The second time, I had a grilled chicken sandwich and the sandwich was so rubbery I could not eat it. I already despised this place but one morning I thought, hey I’ll give it one more shot. I ordered a platter of everything breakfast(eggs, hash browns and pancakes) with the star of the dish being applewood chicken sausage. When my plate arrived, every thing was cold and the eggs were almost 100% percent raw. I wasn’t going to complain until I had the sausage and it was not even room temperature. I told the waitress and she said she would get them to make me some new sausage. The waitress brought the sausage back and not so gracefully plopped it on my plate on top of my uncooked eggs. And I kid you not… it was a plop… with a minimum drop of a foot from the plate she was carrying onto my plate. I a few bites into eating my newer, warmer sausage when I noticed a tiny hair on one of the sausages. Since the waitress had slipped us our bill already, I immediately got up and went to the front to pay it. Only after the bus girl told our waitress that she overheard me talking about the hair did our waitress come over and apologize and offer to take my plate off of our check. She gave us back the new check and said she hoped to see us back there. Needless to say I WILLNOT be returning. 3 shots and they all failed to impress me, much less left me feeling sick to my stomach. Additionally, while waiting for our check, we could see into the kitchen and NONE of the kitchen employees were wearing hair nets. Disgusting.

One of our favorite breakfast places. Portions are large though service can be slow. Also had an issue with getting CRISPY bacon once but they are better now. Everyone is very friendly. Tables a bit close together but a neighborhood place and will be back.

So excited about the new Biscuits Café we have now in Surprise. Have eaten there twice. Once with a large group. Wonderful service, food OK. Had the 3 choice. Scrambled eggs and fruit great. Biscuits kinda on the dry side. The strawberry jam they serve with the biscuits is the best!!! Second time I had pancakes with the wonderful Oregon Strawberry jam. Service again was very good. Our biggest problem, and I have heard this from other people who have tried them the biscuits are not great, very dry. If you are gonna call yourself«Biscuits» they should serve awesome, flaky biscuits.

Went here for a late breakfast today. The food was tasty and the portions were large. I had bacon and eggs with pancakes. I couldn’t eat the 3 pancakes, they were delicious but big and there were 6 pieces of perfectly cooked bacon. My son had the cinnamon roll French toast with scrambled eggs and bacon. He is a 6ft 3inch young man and couldn’t eat it all. Again 6 pieces of bacon and the French toast piece was huge. He was pleasantly stuffed! I recommend it! The service was good too, very pleasant and timely. A nice morning.

Average food. Inhospitable hostess. We were expecting outstanding food based on other people’s recommendations. First person we see(hostess) is extremely rude! I will point out our waitress was really nice and provided good service(hence the 2 stars). The food was so blah, that I wouldn’t recommend this place. There are so so many other great breakfast places close o this area.

Called when we were less than a mile away to check on the wait. They wouldn’t take our name for the list(understandable) but assured it was a 10 minute wait. We showed up less than 2 minutes later, get the kids unloaded from the car, walk in and they tell us it’s a 50 minute wait. GRRRR. I like the food but they need to work on their communication.

Biscuits café is amazing! I ordered the chicken fried steak, which was cooked to perfection, on top of a massive slice of buttery hashbrowns, 2 over easy eggs, with 2 of the fluffiest pancakes. Service was amazing– our server was attentive, fun, and gave great recommendations. The portions were monumental(eating my leftovers as we speak– so good 2nd time around I had to Unilocal!) upon paying for our bill, we were offered drinks to go, and was given a «venti» sized refill for my coffee. Great food, exceptional service, definitely making this breakfast spot a weekend tradition!

If you’re wanting average eggs, above average pancakes(sweet potato specifically), and below average bacon & coffee — the Biscuits Café is you’re place. There are lots of other spots in the PHX area far better for breakfast/brunch, but if you’re in the area and need a quick place to meet this will suit you just fine.

Crazy to see the bad reviews. I’m the pickiest diner I know and I love this place. Almond crusted French toast, omelettes and club sandwich are among faves. The coffee is super good too.

First off, I’ve never written a bad review. I use my reviews to praise exceptional meals and experiences. But this morning, I couldn’t help it. My sister and I came in and I ordered the avocado Benedict with spinach and she ordered a la carte poached eggs, avocado, and an English muffin. My Benedict was sopping in egg yolk because the eggs weren’t poached properly, the spinach was raw and the hash browns were just shredded raw potatoes hidden deceivingly under a crisp top. My sister’s avocado was too hard to enjoy, and her English muffin was burnt. Ps– they charged $ 8.49 for her meal. She also got one poached egg and one broken egg sitting in yolk on her plate. Our server was nice and accommodating but never asked why weren’t eating our meals. We tipped more than appropriately knowing the food was not our servers fault, but we won’t be going back.

Nothing was bad. Let me be clear to start. I manage expectations based on neighborhood, price, things like that. That is why this place is so underwhelming. Lets start with their biscuits. I mean the name is Biscuits Café. They were small and lacked the goodness that you’d expect from the name. Not bad, just very, very standard. Food is on par with IHOP. The price reflects the neighborhood, but the food does not. I paid significantly less for a burger at the bar next door and it was way better. In this zip code and at this price, I expect far better effort. An a more positive note. The place was very clean and the staff was quite friendly.

So so. won’t go out of my way to come here again. Coffee was OK. got the French Toast with eggs and sausage. Sausage patties looked like they were microwaved and we’re dry, my daughter’s potatoes were cold. French Toast was the best part of the meal.

After a few months, we came back because we were in the area. The food here is pretty good, but the service could be better. Our food was slow to come out, because they were busy, so I guess that is a good thing. After waiting a few minutes with an empty coffee cup, I had no choice but to go get myself more coffee. No one was there of course, so I went into the coffee room and poured it myself. I told our waitress I did that, and she was very attentive afterwards. Too little — too late. Mediocre food and bad service is why Biscuits went from 5 to 3 stars in my book.

First time in and it was great. Huge cup of coffee just what I needed to start my day. Scrambled eggs were perfect and my biscuits and gravy was amazing. Highly recommend. Linda was our server. Very nice quick with refills and very attentive. We will be back!

I love this place; it’s my favorite breakfast place on the north side. Service speeds can fluctuate based on how busy they are, but that’s what you get with a good restaurant. A breakfast will run you from about 9 – 12 dollars which is average, but the amount you get is more than anywhere else I’ve been. The reviews on here seem pretty mixed, so I’d say you have to try it for yourself, but it may very well end up being the best place you’ll find.

The IHOP where I go tastes much better. The food here is ehhh ok. Not that great. I was really looking forward to trying the food here too. I got the egg benedict, hash browns, and waffle w/strawberries & whipped cream. One positive note, at least they use FRESH strawberries on the waffles… :)

Highly recommend… The food is delicious and very fresh. We only waited about 10 minutes on a packed Sunday morning and no one was rushed. Nikki is an AMAZING server. She was friendly, fun, and actually took the time to talk to us. And she was like that with all her patrons. She is an asset to this establishment and I want to go back for the food AND her. Love this place.

I came here a couple weeks ago and got the avocado benedict which was delicious. My husband got the country benedict which he also really liked. We didn’t have to wait for our table and the service was fast. As we were leaving our waitress asked us if we wanted our coffee to go which we really liked. We will definitely be back!

A while back this place showed up on a search in my neighborhood for new breakfast places and I bookmarked it noting it would have to be a place I went to when not opening until 6;30 would be OK. I was the only customer in the place until just before I finished. Kelly, my server was pleasant and the only problem was she gave me a couple of minutes to look over the menu which turned into about 5 because she was chatting with the manager who was in my line of sight as I set down the menu and started playing with my phone. The remainder of the service was good. The food was good with one exception. Two cooks, one customer and the timing of the plating was off. They serve toast with soft butter on the side and the toast was stone cold and even though I spread the butter immediately it never did melt in to the bread. Now that I know I may ask them to butter it right out of the toaster next time. I prefer sitting in a chair at a table and the whole restaurant is set up that way. Sort of like not having a bad seat in the house. :) It is obviously a chain but I liked it and will probably go back again to try a couple of the other items that looked good on the menu. 3.49 stars

Came in for brunch. The host was really nice and sat us right away. Our waitress was totally annoyed with us and the table and chairs had food on them. Asked to get a towel and there was a total eye roll. We waited a long time to be served on but when the food came it was good. I would like to give it another shot but I would hope their wait staff would step it up.

Visited this place before heading to the Cardinals game on Sunday. There wasn’t a big wait. We ordered our coffee and orange juice and the drinks were delivered soon enough. It took a while before the wait staff returned to take our food order. When we ordered my friend and I were very specific about asking for our eggs over-medium. Unfortunately every egg delivered to our table was very runny, badly under cooked. It was quite unappetizing. The place is named«Biscuits» so we were all anticipating some amazing biscuits. Yet what we received were ordinary in flavor and small. The gravy was average at best. One more thing which really disappointed us as customers — they do not accept the American Express card. Overall this place was a let down. It’s certainly over-priced for what you get. We’ll stick with The Good Egg.

Was so excited to try this place, gotta say majorly disappointed! The Benedict sauce was over bearing with way too much lemon, the fried potatoes were too salty to eat and the huervos rancheros was swimming in chili sauce. The chef is lacking the concept of flavor a complimenting each other. The one good thing was the coffee! Sorry to say, won’t be in a hurry to return

Brought my husband and kids here for what was supposed to be a nice family breakfast. Average bland food with mediocre décor. Obviously understaffed for a weekend. And who runs out of ice?!! Really. Waited for 40 minutes to be seated(expected), waited another 45 minutes for the food(ridiculous). And by the time we got it, it was cold. Not worth it! Don’t waste your time waiting here.

Located right across the street from my apartment complex, I have dined here several times for breakfast or brunch. Biscuits has a pretty extensive menu and the items I’ve tried have been good but nothing spectacular. I most recently had their Brisket Benedict option which was loaded up on brisket which I loved. I’ve also tried their Chorizo Breakfast Tacos which were pretty good as well. Last fall I did sample their pumpkin pie(?) pancake special which didn’t quite taste like pumpkin pie unfortunately but was fairly good. Overall, I like Biscuits. It probably wouldn’t always be my go-to spot but it is conveniently located and a solid place for breakfast. PS. Midwestern students get 10% off M-F. Get on that students!

Nice place! Wait on a Saturday morning wasn’t too long, like 10 mins. Good coffee with flavored creamers in nice big mugs. I had the smoked brisket eggs benedict. The brisket was sliced niced and thin and smoked perfectly, it was also very tender. Their hollandaise sauce was a little bland for me but my wife loved it. She had the traditional ham benny with added avocado and she said it was great. I also had a side of one sweet potato pankake, never tasted that before, it was yummy. Wifey had a sweet cinnamon roll which I tasted. It was light and fluffy, very good taste and you could tell it was real cream cheese icing on top. Service was very good and the servers are super friendly. Linda was a pleasure. Prices are reasonable and the food is fresh and yummy, I would recommend this place. Afterwards, you can shoot up 59th and go to Hot Bagels and pick up a fresh dozen to take home. The best bagels in town. We will def come back.

Came here for breakfast and was really disappointed with the food quality. The restaurant is very clean, the service was good… but the food was just weak. We got the breakfast burrito(with corned beef hash) and it was just okay. We also got eggs Benedict which was fine but nothing special. Food is kind of overpriced and we probably won’t be coming back.
