Went here for lunch(referred by a coworker). Wasn’t expecting much from a mini mart, but their sandwiches were phenomenal & the ladies were sweet. I had the chicken on the soft French bread w/veggies and added avocado. Overall they had a winning combo for the sandwich: fresh veggies, chicken and most importantly fresh bread!!! Definitely going back! Best place around work so far.

Ordered a roast beef on rye sandwich. It was delicious, fresh and the service was fast. I will definitely go back again. The 2 ladies behind the counter were very nice as well. Thank you!

The sandwiches they make remind me of the sandwich my mom would make when I was a kid. They truly have a great homemade and natural taste. The Italian Sub is awesome. The hot cappicola I tried for the first time today was amazing. And it’s all made to order. You get a list and put together all the toppings you want along with bread choise. My go to, Italian sub on wheat roll, mayo, boar’s head mustard, red onions, tomatos, letuce, and vinnagrete. Awesome! Fresh tasting! They don’t make it like this as subway. Don’t expect a lot of seats. It’s really a to go place, but never that truly busy. Oh, and get a lotto ticket on the way out you winner!

Went in to get a quick snack. The lady behind the counter had the most sour look on her face. She didn’t even look up from her magazine to acknowledge that a customer came in. The whole vibe was unfriendly and unwelcoming. I bought a banana and left quickly. Even my ‘goodbye and thank you’ got nothing but a look of utter contempt. I’ll NEVER be coming back.

I just had a delicious Pastrami sandwich on a Crispy french roll from here. Came here on a whim during lunch. Co worker mentioned they only use quality deli meats and a quick Unilocal search showed that they use Boar’s Head and also have portos rolls for the bread on the sandwich. They have a sheet of paper where you can mark down what you want and customize your sandwich. Very simple. $ 6.99 for any sandwich. +$ 1 for avocado and +$ 1 for bacon. It is a mini mart and they have a wide selection of drinks, chips, and snacks as well. Side note/tip: I tried to pay for my sandwich which came out to ~$ 7.50 with my debit card and was warned that they would charge a $.50 surcharge. Luckily I had $ 7 and borrowed a dollar from my coworker. Bring cash unless you like donating 50 cents.

Was considering portos. Parked and was walking TOPORTOS until i passed by a sign that said«Boars head». I’ve had boar’s head meat before, so I ventured in. This was more of a convenience store that made sandwiches with boar’s head mean. So I looked at the menu, and asked, what is cappello meat. The lady said: «you want to try?» and gave me a slice! wow, it was tasty! SOLD! I got their combo selection meat sandwich. Pros: — Great FRESH items: Veggies are super fresh, oh their pickles are delicious and they are not stingy with their meat! — Great bread as well. — Great service, über nice people. — you can get lotto tix here as well! Cons: — next to portos? so makes you want to get bakery afterwards? :-)

This place is a rare gem with EVERYTHING you need; from Lotto tickets, to all kinds of beverages(coconut water, beer, as well as diet ginger ale, etc), cigarettes, and most importantly: the Boar’s Head sandwiches. The sandwiches are reasonably-priced at $ 6.99 each, and made-to-order with the order form(where you can also fill out your Lottery numbers). The sandwiches are not big, but enough for a healthy/quick lunch. Most importantly, the sisters always have a smile and super-friendly. Even on a stressful work day; I can always come here during my lunch break for my pastrami sandwich(on toasted rye bread + provolone + dijon mustard + pickles), a Lotto QuickPick, a pack of cigarettes – and walk out happy after seeing the friendly smiles and positive energy from the ladies. The ambiance of this place resembles those market/delis in the East Coast that we’ve grown up to love(and miss), with some simple tables and chairs for you to sit and relax. Stop by here for lunch, or stop by for a snack/fix – the place truly redefines«convenience» store in the heart of Glendale.

Great sandwiches! Fresh bread, boars head meat & cheeses, and standard condiments. Chips are in the«store» section and a nice large selection. Two little foreign ladies were running it when I was there and they were lovely. Cute little spot for a quick bite. $ 10 min. on cards. I mean what more could you want… lotto tickets and great sandwiches!

All you need to know is… Boar’s Head«Premium Products Sense 1905» Located on Brand Blvd nestled between Porto’s/Damon’s and Jax, I’m sure this little place get’s overlooked… Next time you think of going to Porto’s to grab some Lunch come check out this place instead and you’ll be glad you did. Premium Boar’s Head — Choose your meat, cheese, bread/roll and condiments for a great sandwich for only $ 6.99 *(Veggies, tomato, lettuce etc. purchased FRESH daily) ½ Turkey — ½ Ham — lettuce, pickles, jalapenos, tomato etc… on toasted Sourdough bread, and they don’t skimp on any of the ingredients I’d say Best Sandwiches in the area! and the Ladies are friendly…

If you are looking for deli/home style sandwiches, then there’s no need to go anywhere else. I’ve had their sandwiches many times I’ve just never had to time to review this mart! I usually get ham sandwich which is delicious! They give all the works with your sandwich(romaine lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, cucumber slices, white american cheese, mayo and mustard) with your choice of meat and bread. What’s best is that fresh ingredients and generous amount of meat and veggies they pack into your sandwich. All the ladies working here provide excellent service!

My coworkers kept saying that there was a sandwich shop down the street called the«3 Sisters»…Ana + 2 ladies. I always looked at the coworkers oddly until I went w/them one day. And lo & behold, 3 sisters! But of course the joint’s called Brand’s Mini Mart. The average sandwich costs $ 6.99. Every day has a $ 5 special. You walk in and the counter in the middle has a form you fill out w/a tiny pencil like the ones you use to mark your scores for golf or bowling. You drop it off at the counter, pay at the register & then wait for the yummies. I usually just get one of two sandwiches: turkey or tuna. I like these since the turkey deli meat tastes fresh and the tuna salad isn’t soaking in mayo. There are definitely other types of delicious meats you can put inside but I’ve found the two I like, so I stick with these. Several different types of fresh bread(if you ask for the wheat roll or the French bread crunchy or soft — I saw Porto’s Bakery bags holding these goodies *kaching!*) with fresh toppings at no additional cost. Considering I stack on tomato, lettuce, red onion, yellow mustard, sprouts and jalapenos… they don’t charge extra. They also have several types of cheese you can add as well as other items(all inclusive). AND, they serve you with a smile. Lots of people during lunch but they are so efficient that they get you in & out in about 5 minutes. They also have a Lotto machine as well as tons of different types of Scratchers. So if you have ADD, you can scratch away while you wait for your sandwich from one of the 3 Sisters!

Great cheap sandwiches made with a smile. Most are $ 6.99 and they have a daily $ 5 special. Everything is always fresh and tasty!

Sandwiches and lotto tickets. I really do appreciate the establishment these ladies have built, I love that they use fresh ingredients, and Boars Head meats. You simply walk-up, fill out the check list for your perfect sand which creation and within a few minutes your name is called and you are on your way(grab a form and next time you can fax your order). I seem to be stuck in a rut with the roast beef on toasted sourdough with L, T, cucumbers, red onion and spicy brown must and mayo. But everything is good. Prices are eh — could be lower — but then again — they could be higher. Just bear in mind — this is not Subway, Quizno’s or the supermarket

These three ladies, crank out hundreds of fresh custom ordered sandwiches every day(M-F). They use fresh Porto’s rolls and Boar’s Head meats. You can even fax in your order and the sandwich will be ready for you when you get there. The sandwich prep area is also kept very clean. Bargain sandwich for $ 6.50!

The is my favorite deli sandwich place in Glendale… This is what I get most of the time(you check it off a list): Choice of Sandwich — Hot Cappicola Choice of Bread — Soft French Bread Choice of Cheese — Provolone Choice of Condiments — Check off everything including the extra Avocado and xtra Cheese Ask them to add some salt and pepper… and VOILA! A perfect, bomb ass, 5 star sandwich… it costs about 6.99 but it’s worth every penny…

These three ladies rock my world! I work near by and at times find myself craving for something a little more healthier than the usual lunch junk i have on a daily basis. This is a great place to get a fresh deli style sandwich. i actually came upon this modest convenience store by accident. i was walking down brand looking for something to eat. i swung in with the intention of just purchasing some chips and a drink when I noticed that they made fresh sandwiches here. i contemplated, but decided not to partake that is until I noticed that they sold beer here. BOOM! Sold… bought a roast beef sammy with a nice beer and just sat in and enjoyed. They have modest indoor outdoor seating and just a little FYI, to use a credit card you’ll need to spend over 10 bucks. ENJOY!

Was walking to Porto’s and saw Brand’s signs for Boar’s Heads meats and stopped in. I agree with Natalie, it isn’t much on atmosphere, but a great sandwich! The three ladies behind a no frills counter point are very, very nice. Did not notice the menu/order form that you fill out but they helped me get one of the best sandwiches I have had in a while. The sandwiches have gone up to $ 6.50 since the original review here, but still a great deal …
