I have to say I’m impressed with their shaved ice, it’s filled with sweet beans, fruits and lots of other goodies. The pastries here are the same as you find in Korea town. The ladies here are very helpful, well if you need a pick me up they also have coffee :-)

Just a typical korean bakery located immediately inside the HanKook super market. nothing particularly fancy about it; i see there are some photos that show what kind of merchandise/goods they hold. i went yesterday and it was pretty quiet(it was also 9:00 am though), and one lady was buying a coffee and asking for creamer and i was having the most unusual craving for a sweet pastry with hot dogs which korean bakeries hold as a staple. they had it, it was like $ 1.50, so prices seem reasonable/standard, and it tasted the way a semi-sweet bread with a hot dog in it tastes, which to me fit the bill. i didn’t look too closely at much else, but they also had the standard red bean filled pastries and some doughnut-like ones.

This Cake House is located inside HK Market. I shop at HK on a weekly basis and I’ve only seen one person at Cake House once. I’m not sure if it’s due to the fact that HK isn’t that busy or that there’s a Paris Baguette just across the street, but how this place is still open is a mystery to me. If you’re looking for a caffeine fix, they also carry Peet’s coffee. I’ll probably buy something one of these days instead of just snagging the occasional sample.
