They’ve made some progress over the past year since I’ve been coming here. It’s a pretty large and quiet park, not sure why only me, a few skate boarders, new moms, and the homeless seem to be taking advantage of it, but that’s kind of natural when it comes to parks. For real though it is nice to see all the different faces in the park filled with families on the weekends celebrating birthdays, quinceaneras, and that sweet sweet LA sunshine. They’ve put in a new playground. There’s a small paved area for boarders, but no ramps or basketball hoops which would make a nice addition. Although there is a skate boarding bull dog named Chloe who doesn’t seem to mind. There are picnic tables and grill pits. There are pups to play with and trees to take shade under. It’s not perfect, but still a much needed sanctuary.

Just moved to area and hubby(Ken B) and I were looking for somewhere close to home(4blks) to have a picnic and hang with the fur babies. Nice enough local — relatively quiet. Yes, you can hear Colorado St traffic but not a real bother for city folks who are used to a little noise. Lots of shaded grassy areas and picnic benches too. I would have given this park 4stars had there been a designated parking lot or at least designated parking spots just for park visitors. As others have stated, they parking situation for this park is terrible. On another note, I would have given it 5stars had it been a designated off-leash dog park. Can’t believe Glendale doesn’t have a dog park.

Calling out to all good people – use your parks! That way they will be safe and full of families, couples, and happy children playing and picnicking. We stopped by this park on our bike ride from South Pas to Glendale and back. I really like the playground equipment they have, especially the one I call the butt plunger(sounds terrible, but it’s terrific!).(See photos). You can get spinning pretty fast on this if you have the momentum and the stomach for it. Nice seesaw too. Remember, never stop playing.

Nice park. I’m here on a Monday afternoon with the family. Space to grill. Clean restrooms. No problems. I recommend.

Lots of barbeques and benches; there’s a large area of grass that would be good for a bounce house/party. The playground equipment looks especially fun and modern. There are restrooms available. However, there’s no parking on Colorado and almost none behind the park by the apartment buildings. The giant concrete space behind the restrooms would be great for all sorts of stuff, but there aren’t basketball hoops, and signs say you can’t skateboard or roller skate on it, leaving it for… giant chalk drawings? There was a couple lying on top of each other making out for… a while. Crime Busters signs aren’t a good sign. And even in the back of the park, you can still hear the cars on Colorado. This doesn’t strike me as a place to relax and read a book or have a little picnic.

Unless you are looking for something nasty and nefarious DONOT come to this park. Tweak’n dealers. Strange solo men watching out for… god knows what near the playground and corners. Women in cars leaving in cars other than the one they arrived in. Do not come here alone. In the morning or in the afternoon, and esp at night. I was later told by a local that this is where people meet their connections, then cross over the city line to complete their deals. Freak scene indeed.
