Say what you will about the store layout and insane amount of merchandise, but Charming Charlie has the most helpful staff I’ve ever encountered in a boutique. To avoid being overwhelmed by the place, I tend I only go when I’m on a mission for something specific/something to go with a specific outfit. This past weekend I needed… something… to dress up a casual black dress for my birthday dinner. The associate who helped me immediately found several great options and gave me honest feedback. She never pressured me into trying on anything I wasn’t crazy about, and even talked me out of buying a blazer which I definitely would have regretted. The jewelry isn’t necessarily built to last, but everything I’ve purchased has held up well considering the price. I highly recommend going to CC when you know what you’re looking for, and definitely take advantage of the helpful staff! They know the store inside and out and can probably find you what you’re looking for in half the time.

I’m still unsure how I feel about Charming Charlie’s. I was so excited when they first opened; I had heard about the store and it’s awesomeness, and seen items featured in magazines. But every time I visit, I am completed overwhelmed. While I like the organization by color, there is just SOMUCH. Of EVERYTHING. I like the options, but it can be too much when I’m looking for a gift idea, especially in a time crunch. The sales associates are usually very friendly and helpful if you request assistance. Which I normally have to do. The past couple times I went in looking for an item I saw in a magazine, and the sales associates inform me they never got that item in stock :( I’ve been pleased with the quality of the few items I’ve purchased here(birthday tiara/jewelry, necklaces, earrings). I do recommend it for the accessory lover, but I personally need to be in a destination-shopping — or at least have a good idea of what I want — mood to shop here.

My sister and my mom both talked about this place so when I came to wisconsin it was one of the stores I wanted to go to. The staff is super nice and the store is very well organized. It’s organized by color! The only problem I have with this store is that they have way too much in there! It’s a little overwhelming. I think this would be a great store if your going to prom and you need a specific color. But if your coming in there like I was you might get sucked in the accessory vortex and spend way too much!

Oh my god. It’s too much. I can’t see anything. AHHHHHH! Seriously. I walked in here to buy gifts for teenage girls, and I lost my mind. Not because I went into some consumer-crazed frenzy for the 548,764 or so accessory, etc.-type items available; but because I’m not sure that I’ve felt as overwhelmed by a store in a loooong time. The breakdown? It’s necklaces and rings and earrings and shoes and scarves and clothing, and it’s huge. And it’s all organized by color. And it’s organized by color AND metal. Or color AND style. And it’s huge. And there’s SOMUCHSTUFF. STUFF. Overwhelming, yes. I opted to buy gift cards for the girls simply for two reasons: 1. I don’t really know their tastes *that* well, and shopping for teenage girls is quite possibly one of the most impossible things ever, and, b. Because there was so much stuff that I couldn’t make a decision. Any decision. It’s that crazy in there. I mean, accessories on the cheap? For sure! Every color and style you could imagine? Abso-freaking-lutely. But… prepare to enter a wonderland of color and light and sound that may just have you wishing you had a bottle of water and maybe you should stop and rest for a second. I’ll definitely be back, when I’m feeling it– you probably have to really be in the mood to shop here — and when I do come back, I’ll be sure to have an idea of what I’m looking for beforehand.

This new store located just outside of Bayshore mall(½ block east of Trader Joe’s on Silver Spring Ave) is a great place to shop for cheap, trendy accessories. They have TONS of jewelry, scarves, hand bags, shoes/boots, and a limited selection of clothing. The prices are pretty low, as is the quality. Most tops are around the $ 35 price point, and you can find neclace/earring combinations for around $ 12 – 30. Fun place to shop, but beware there is only one fitting room.

Ohhhhh I stumbled upon this store by accident and couldn’t stop myself from going in. This jewelry and accessory store is huge, inexpensive, and amazing. There were so many things I wanted to buy. The accessories are grouped by color which makes it really fun to look around and easy to find what you’re looking for. Or weren’t necessary looking for but want anyway… You could seriously find a piece of jewelry for any outfit here. They also have purses, scarves, and some clothes. What a great find– can’t wait to go back and shop some more.
