Good for what it is. Friendly staff, good selection of coffee and light breakfast. Ordered a double shot with a egg ham and cheese croissant. The espresso was rich in taste, and had a definitive flavor. The sandwich is pretty big and is worth the price. Would come back again if in the area.

Got a terrible case of food poisoning here. Should have guessed by the taste of the food.

Stopped by here since Fish King’s line was out of the door but honestly I wish I had more patience and stayed LOL… I literally watched the lady prepare my sandwich with wet hands, NO gloves, while touching her hair. I already lost my appetite sitting and waiting for my food but I didn’t want to be rude and say anything. I took my food and trashed it cause I just felt grossed out… I think it was partially my mistake for coming here for food especially since it’s primarily for coffee but uh… I don’t think I’ll come back after that…

Nice shop and friendly staff. Ice blended coffee tasted like it was made with cheap instant coffee and cost 4 $. I will never return here.

Great place to study/do homework. I love studying to Jazz music or instrumental music and this is what they play here. It is never busy the time I go(afternoon) so it’s really chill when you’re alone with your ice coffee doing work.

Great service and coffee. Clean and excellent customer service. Jazz music every Tuesday night. Thursday night where all the fun is, Latin music by «Latin Sensation» playing salsa, merengue, cumbia, bachata, bolero. We have lots of fun.

I love this place to come and hang out! I usually come here when I have short meeting. Make sure to try their glasse coffee when you come in. The reason why I gave 4 stars is because the design of the interior and exterior needs to be improved. Everything else is good !

A pleasant little place with friendly service, but weak institutional coffee and only powdered creamer, and a $ 7.75 «sausage sandwich» recommended by the proprietor which turned out to be 2 boiled cheap(canned?) wieners on a roll. Free wireless worked well. Coffee and weenies: $ 10.58.

It is quiet place, good for a nice cup of coffee. Slow jazz music on the background remind you the coffee shops in 60 – 70. The owner knows all his regular customers and he always greats the new customers himself. Food is Avrege plus, fresh juice and famous Caffe-glasse(Vanilla ice-cream in the coffee).

This review contemplates only juice/shake orders. You’re on your own for the coffee, breakfast, etc. It looks like they also have Costco-style muffins, cakes, and cookies at reasonable prices. I stopped by Coffee Express after jogging by it the day before, thinking it would be a good place for my fiancée to study for the Bar. The place was dead, with one other patron inside and two smoking outdoors. There was easy parking(a 30 minute curb and some untimed spots), but in the morning it might be trickier. Décor was really nice, and I appreciate the miniature Beethoven statue in the corner(look for it or you’ll miss it). The proprietress answered my questions and took my order, but because she was the only person actively working at the time, she had to assist the customers outside. It took about 8 minutes to make a Combo juice(orange and apple) and a banana shake. A little slow considering the place was empty. The husband(I presume) was around, but not really doing much work. The banana shake tasted very familiar. Then I realized that I made this shake. Well, not exactly. What I mean to say is that I could taste all the ingredients I use when I attempt to make a banana shake myself: bananas, milk, ice. It cost 4.95. Delicious, but I don’t have to go out to get this flavor. The juice was warm. It was the weirdest thing. I had to toss it in a mug with ice when I got home to salvage it, and even then, it felt a little watered down(independent of the ice, I’m not stupid). So, while I can’t comment on many of the reasons to visit Coffee Express(namely, the coffee), I can unfavorably compare it to other juice places. Stick to what works for this place and leave your juice needs to someone else. P. S. This restaurant passes the«Brother, can you spare a dime?» test. In other words, if 9 cents are owed to you in change, they’ll give you a dime to save in hassle.

Tues night — no customers. walked in, playing good jazz music. ordered a couple coffees hoping to get some work done online. about to sit down at a table with ample room for my computer and then was told to sit somewhere else because the table was«reserved» — the place was dead… we decided to leave and bring the coffees to-go. the man working there said, «hope you’re not disappointed,» to which i responded with, «i kind of am…»

Besides the fact that I prefer to support mom & pop businesses over corporate chains, I also went to this coffee shop because it was conveniently located a few doors down from where I was waiting on my wife. I ordered their omelette with ham, cheese, tomatoes, and peppers. I have had many great omelets in my life, but I can say that this was easily the best one I have ever had. The warm loaf of bread that came with it was also good. The coffee was excellent: strong, flavorful, and fresh. Very glad I chose this place over Starbucks.

I really hate to give a low rating to this place because they only have 2 other ratings so far in the last few years, but I’m sorry. So in a nutshell: — Great, friendly, and quick service! — Interesting décor. Feels so 60’s or 70’s almost? — Fresh fruit drinks, strong coffee, and pastries. — Not too many power plugs, this isn’t a study place. — WiFi was free. — Seats don’t carter to study-minded folks either. — Outdoor seating. — The above could be + or — to you, I don’t know you. In my mind, most of those things could earn a 4 star rating, but I really almost gave them a 2. Why? I’m not sure. Our experience was a good one overall even though we didn’t stay too long. I just had not desire to stay and zero to return. I guess if I had one grumpy thing to say, it was that my Macciato could have probably fit inside of a large spoon?! Oh, and cost 3 bucks. I literally took 3 sips from it and it was gone. On a side note, it was so strong I started physically convoluting like an alien with Tourettes. Hence the 2 became a 3…

Very cute coffee spot, clean, friendly staff, lots of room and plenty of chairs(cool for study group sessions, etc) and free Wi-FI! Breakfast bites are a little expensive(bagel and egg, etc) but you can tell they aim to be a coffee spot the most. Mocha latte, americanos, expresso, to regular joe of the day — always fresh and reasonable prices. Croissants and fresh fruit available, no hassle and good parking. I love this spot, definitely an alternative to big corp coffee biz. Forgot your cigarettes? Don’t trip, lots of patrons are older Armenian dudes sitting out on the side patio — they cool peepz ! Lol

Nice hidden alternative to the corporate coffee places which have popped up everywhere. The owner is around most of the time so he is on top of the service. The coffee is not as great as the corporate places but this place makes up for it by serving fresh fruit juices.
