I have been in this hospital for chronic pain and was 4 times in ER and 3 times inpatient for 3 days last time was on June 10 2016 I had the same problem on the scale of 1to 10 my pain was 10 after I was registerd to the hospital and been there for 2 days and charging me for the pursiger they couldn’t diagnose and let me go without medication for the next time. That can be tomorrow or next week I wounder where this Dr get there Md from I don’t recommend this hospital for diagnoses but if you want wasting your money you are in best Hospital which doesn’t care about patient.

One of the nurses demanded that a family member stay with my relative… Oh I’m sorry I THOUGHT THATS WHAT A NURSE WAS FOR. Horrible experience not being able to go to work in peace knowing that the nurse isn’t doing her job right

A friend just had a gorgeous baby and unfortunately we had to come to this hospital for a visit. Parking sucks and to expensive, they dont have signs around for directions. The hospital room was very dirty, sheets very dirty, bathroom disgusting. The RNs are horrible and extremely RUDE. My friend buzzed the RN asking for meds they ignore you for an hour and when she came in she actually yelled at a new hormonal mom. You should never do that and you know better, thank god i never have to come here nor will i ever recommend anyone to have a baby here. Very disappointed.
One star is because 0 isn’t and option.

I was diagnosed with a concussion, and perscribed Occupational and Physical Therapy by my neurologist. I was referred to Glendale Adventist by a friend. When I saw my Occupational Therapist, I” I was treated with respect, tested, and given a plan for treatment.
However, when I was evaluated by my Physical Therapist, laisha Duenas, she tried to diagnose me with issues relating to my medications, and override the diagnosis given by my neurologist. Ms. Duenas did not have the legal authority to diagnose me, and yet she tried to make me stop taking my medications. When I did not follow her advice, and refused to stop taking my doctor prescribed medications, she went to her supervisor. and had me discharged from the facility and from treatment.
My Occupational Therapist continued to see me, but Ms. Duenas went to her supervisor and argued that I be discharged against my will. Ms. Duenas did not listen to my concerns or my symptoms, and when I spoke with my neurologist, she stated, «What does she know about concussions? She’s not a doctor.»

The really rewiew goes to the excellent east tower’s 3 the floor! During my dad’s treatment here name is Anushavan Davtian ! Every person that came to her room was kind, professional, gentle and caring it was remarkable! From the physicians here name is Tovmasian, nurses, assistants. We’re all the best! thank you for your wonderful attention very nice nurse Stephanie! She was one of the nurses to take care my lovely daddy ! Stephanie really awesome in attentive ! This review is for the emergency room and the cardiology department too! Thank you dr Sharma, and the entire staff were amazing ! They were helpful, kind, understanding ! I volunteered here for a year through the COPE health solutions program and I absolutely hated my time here. I blame it not on the program but on the hospital itself. The doctors act like they don’t care and they’re always in a rush. I’ve often had to deal with patients who complained about the hospital staff, there was very rare times that I would ever hear about appraisal of the hospital team. Many of the nurses were very lazy in that I would relay a message from the patient to the nurse but the nurse would never visit the patient to attend to their needs or they would just say «oh the patient is ok» in a tone that insinuated the patients were being needy. The patients are given the right to be «needy» as they please and be given the best care and attention the hospital staff can give them, that’s what their job is. While working in the ER, the nurses would just laugh and joke around while carrying out procedures and be very indifferent towards the patient’s emotions. This may have to do with the language barrier that exists throughout the hospital because many of the patients are Armenian, but instead of getting a translator many nurses just choose to ignore the patients. A patient was crying in pain and called me over to get her nurse. I went to the closest nurse, who was sitting texting on her phone by the way, and she rudely told me that that patient was not hers so I should get another nurse. Nothing infuriated me more than having to volunteer here every week. Don’t come here if you have the choice.

Well besides the fact that the hospital is very out dated, it looks old and feels old.
Came into ER at 9pm on May 1^st with and a fever of 104.1 was diagnosed with Mastitis and a Bladder Infection and that was great and left with a prescription for antibiotics. That visit was with a great Doctor and wonderful nurse. Came back 5 hours later on May 2^nd at 5am with a 105.1 fever and this trip was awful. Never saw a doctor only a PA (which would have been fine had they known how to not give inaccurate information and dose me with drugs not needed). That PA said they’d be doing a very detailed and personal ultra sound even though I am 10 days postpartum and that would never be allowed. However she said it was in fact ok to do, and needed to be done and made me have a panic attack. So I was then administered with morphine and Ativan and after that guess what happened? I was told by ultra sound staff that they would NEVER be allowed to do that type of exam and the PA (Ajitha Philip) must have been confused. Came back and asked the PA what happened and got no answer was literally ignored like I did not ask the question.
I was already in pain with a bad infection and then given drugs i didn’t need so i also had to go 2 days without breastfeeding.
This hospital is not great or at least the staff that comes in on a weekday at 6am in the ER are not.
Hospital also wanted to send me home again, but her OBGYN insisted they keep me and stop sending me away. I was admitted for 2 days. The staff once I was admitted was great. But again the ER staff at 5am was honestly horrible and the ER was dead so they were not understaffed.
Never will I go back to that ER nor will anyone I know, it’s not worth the gamble of getting a PA and Nurse like I had in the ER

Great hospitality and detailed care!!! It’s like staying at a five star hotel. Everybody here is very nice, caring and kind. I would give this place 10 stars if I could. I had a C-​Section here on 5÷2÷2016 and pain was severe but everything was well taking care of during the stay and nurses are just a beep away to get to you! I know I’m coming back here to have another baby ;)

Called Dr Merritt’s office for orthopedics, no return call. Called back and was referred to spine institute and called them-​no return call. Left msg. to complain at customer service-​no return call. Left msg. @ administration to let them know how bad things were-​no return call. In 2014 after surgery I wrote a letter to the doctor to let him know had bad the support was in his office-​no reply. Not to mention that when I stayed there staff did things like put urinals on my food tray, slammed doors at 3:30 AM at the foot of my bed, indignantly scolded me for asking if the wheelchair wheels were locked before I got up only to find that they in fact were not locked, etc., etc. And then they have the gall to send questionnaires wanting to know how they did.

I have been here many times due to my diagnosis. One time I had to leave to another hospital, where I was immediately evaluated. I’m pregnant with hyperemesis so I guess you can say I’m more then a regular here. My obgyn also resides here with Glendale Adventist and has been my ob for the past ten years. This review is for the emergency staff and labor and delivery staff most importantly. So after coming here many times and feeling uncomfortable many times I felt and obligation to write a review. Some of the nurses in the labor and delivery department we’re not only rude I could hear them speaking ill their patients including myself multiple times have I signed myself out AMA which is against medical advice because of the feeling I was just being a bother or because of being mistreated. I come from working in the medical field I’ve dealt with patient’s and as a nurse I have only ever tried to put myself in there shoes feel there pain and try to be understanding. This pregnancy has been very complicated one for myself a little compassion would go a long way. Waking up not knowing if this time will be the time I go into preterm delivery, I hope you can imagine. So during my last experience I was asked IF I AM MENTALLY ILL. if I have mental problems or have ever or have ever been evaluated for mental problems, this came after I repeatedly told the nurse she was hurting me she tried putting an IV in me not once but twice and by putting I mean shoving it where it did not want to go. The swelling was overwhelming this is one of those days I signed out AMA which I feel I’m putting my unborn child at risk. She the nurse in question then asked the nurse who had helped me from the beginning for help to shove the IV in me because it was resisting not I but the vein. I never knew a vein to resist all I knew I was in so much pain and I felt so much more emotionally and physically leaving my hospital visit that day. I really just wanted to be in pain alone in the confort of my home at this point. I will also be posting some photos of my arm one week after the swelling has gone down, but its really bad and discolored.

In January of 2016, I was admitted here, via the Emergency Department, for severe pneumonia. The quick story is that the time spent in the E.D. was a total of about 8 hours before being transferred to the hospital unit. However, the E.D. physician, Dr. Gibbs, literally saved my life, by figuring out how to admit me when the insurance company (L.A.Care Health Plan) was refusing to implement proper treatment, primarily due to the cost of the necessary medications (it was a rare form of pneumonia, that is extremely difficult to treat, in addition to asthma.) He figured that he could force the insurance to start treatment if I spent a night in the hospital. (A lot of people die from the combination of this type of pneumonia and asthma.)
What was supposed to be a one-​night stay to get an IV and inhaled antibiotic regimen started, turned into an 8-​day ordeal due to the ineptitude of the hospital pharmacy, case management department, and an Infectious Disease physician who was apathetic, uncaring, and unwilling to work a bit harder to obtain the necessary lifesaving treatment that could be implemented at home. At most, this should have only been a two-​day stay, to get the PICC line placed and ensure that I did not have an adverse reaction to the treatment; then switch to home health care. My stay, after day two, was absolutely NOT medically necessary, though I am betting that the hospital got paid for it, anyway. (It’s amazing what can pass the utilization review muster with creative clinical documentation.) And then politicians and the general public wonder why U.S. healthcare is so astronomically expensive! (The need for the E.D. visit and the hospital admission could have been avoided, altogether … but that will be addressed when I update my review of L.A. Care Health Plan and the physicians involved in my care.)
Had I not had knowledge, due to my career, about how hospitals and case management work, my stay would have been even longer, and may have resulted in a ridiculous nursing home placement just so I could receive necessary medication, because the pharmacy and case managers were ignorant about how a 15+ years available medication (Tobramycin) was readily available in easy to use, home nebulizer form! Yes … they were actually talking about nursing home placement for a fully ambulatory patient, who could drive a car and do a full range of activities of daily living! I had to become my own case manager! (Seems like I should be able to bill my insurer for providing my own CM services!)
There is not enough space here to write out a complete list of positives and negatives about this hospital, but I can assure you that the negatives far outweighed the positives.
The food was inedible, and always served cold, two respiratory therapists gave the wrong dosage of a crucial medication; one fessed up to it, when I caught the error, and the other one lied about it, but was going to be disciplined by his supervisor; medications were frequently late from the pharmacy by as much as over three hours, which violates Joint Commission and CMS standards; the first attempt at the PICC line placement (actually a Mid-​Line) failed, and caused extreme bruising, pain, and ugly discoloration from the top of my arm all the way down to the wrist for days afterward; the PICC line RN cleaned up my blood that was all over the bed and the floor with no gloves on her hands; a urine stain on the base of my IV stand that was present on admission was never cleaned, aides and interns using the mobile vitals carts kept discarding and touching used thermometer covers in the same bin that they kept supplies instead of doing proper disposal (poor infection control); the pulse oximeter was used from patient to patient without being cleaned in between each use; the shower floor had slick, glossy paint with no mat or abrasive to prevent falling; during the afternoon the room got so hot, it was extremely uncomfortable; the bed in the room was less comfortable than the pram transport bed in the E.D.; the hospitalist physician, who was well meaning, failed repeatedly to be responsive when he was not rounding on my floor;toilet had no lid and sprayed a strong mist from the dirty bowl when flushed; … and there is more.
Positively, they did get me a private room when they were scarce; there is computer in each room allowing for efficient documentation and med-​checks and also reducing one source of infection (no computer carts in and out of other patient’s rooms); the computer keyboard (a proven very infectious surface) was never cleaned during my stay and the same fingers that touched it also touched me (this part really belongs in the paragraph above); excellent use of the best patient whiteboard I have ever seen, and most of the nursing staff were great! (Responsive, caring, good clinical skills, etc.)
There were a few RNs who were really outstanding on the 4^th floor, and I personally thanked them.

My mother has had multiple subpar experiences there. Poor communication, long waits, dispassionate docs, annoyed overworked nurses (i.e. shortage of!!) and to top it off, incompetent medical care.
My advice, don’t take senior family members as they are devalued there.
Find another hospital, or try to arrange outpatient care w specialist somewhere.

This 5 star review is NOT for the cafeteria area staff member who charged me for few packets of ketchup only half an hour after my dad’s passing while buying comfort food for family. It’s a shame. Not good for the hospital’s reputation to charge family members who spent days in the hospital for ketchup packets!!!
The real review goes to the EXCELLENT EAST TOWER’s 4^th floor RNs and CNAs.
During my dad’s treatment for pancreatic cancer, we spent exactly 1 month with him in the hospital day and night witnessing the endless care and the support of the elite nursing team on the 4^th floor. Although he passed away on March 9^th from his terminal disease as we were expecting, they made it very comfortable for all us during his last hours as well. Family and myself like to THANK All the Nurses and the assistance who took care of our father, Leon; with outmost care that they would do with their father. Thank you for making him feel like he was at home and be sympathetic and understanding with our emotions. You demonstrated true professionalism.

I had 4 mm ureter stone removed by Dr. Ebrahimi on March 15. 2016. He is great Doctor, so kind and professional. He had his stones removed by other Dr and he knows what kind of pain the patient goes through. I was very fortunate to be his patient.
Glendale Adventiest Hospital is very nice, modern facility with kind and caring staffs and nurses. But the nurses in preparation for operation room seemed to lack the knowledge and training.
The anasthetic specialist found out at the operation table that the catheter inserted for IV on my left hand was leaking because nurse who inserted did it wrong. The anasthetic specialist had to poke my right hand again for IV and anasthetic fluid. I am so thankful that specialist found it out before surgery was started.
After the surgery, nurse at recovery or preparation room had removed catheter inserted to my urethra too soon and I was unable to urinate. So the other male nurse inserted catheter back to my urethra in a hurry with force while I was no longer in full anasthsia. The pain was unbearable. The nurse told me to scream ah. and they were laughing. The nurses were kind and caring but I think they need more training.

Great Hospital. Amazing nursing staff.

My husband and I were so happy with our decision to give birth at Glendale Adventist. We were thoroughly impressed with the medical staff and facility during the hospital visit/​orientation and we were not disappointed when it came time for delivery. Even though I was admitted to the maternity ward on what ended up being one of the busiest days of the year, I had a great experience from beginning to end.
We came in with a birth plan and desire to have a natural/​unmedicated birth using the Bradley Method. The medical staff was very respectful of adhering to our birth plan. Jenna, our attending nurse, was amazing! She had a real interest in helping us achieve our goal of an unmedicated birth and she felt like an angel sent to us from heaven. Dr. Armine Ghazaryan is the best! She truly cares about her patients and the health and safety of mom and baby. We gave birth in December to a happy, healthy 7 lb 13 oz baby boy.
The nursing staff and lactation consultant were very helpful in getting us off to the right start in exclusively breastfeeding and they were responsive to answering our calls and questions. The rooms are clean and spacious and the food was excellent.
Being a first-​time mom and having never spent the night in a hospital prior to giving birth, I can’t say enough about how pleasant our hospital stay was and I would recommend Glendale Adventist to any prospective mother.

I was told that a specific doctor specialized in the area where I had an issue, and I was very specific before I met with the doctor as I had to wait a week for an appointment. Other doctors were available the previous week. Plus, I was very specific during the first appointment about what was in pain and how the injury occured. However, after several months, a couple MRI’s, incorrectly prescribed physical therapy, and many visits, the doctor admitted that they did not handle this type of issue. In fact, it turned out that they gave me the wrong treatment and I will likely need a surgery that could have been prevented with a competent doctor. The correct doctor that I was referred to was dumbfounded that this original doctor did not see the issue and said it was kinda late to do anything other than surgery but he did his best.
Additionally, it was a nightmare getting in contact with the medical assistants for this doctor as they always wanted to schedule the MRIs at their facility which charged 4x as much as other facilities. Plus, the parking is not good, and they overcharge consistently. I am still getting random charges from them, when I paid my copay in full at each appointment. In fact, they have charged me for things that they did not do, and they could not prove they did. However, that did not stop them from sending the bill to collections after two months.
Also, they make you sign a waiver each time you are there that you might be used as a test subject with medical students; however, the medical students would likely have been more proficient that the doctor that I visited.
Stay away from this terribly run place, and stay away from their doctors.

I had my daughter at this hospital October 25, 2014.
I had an overall decent experience at the hospital and the maternity ward. They made me fill out forms again because they lost my paperwork I mailed in a month prior.
I was only there for about 4 days. The room was clean and comfortable. One nurse in particular, Natalya was amazing. She was very nice; probably because my daughter has the same name ;)
The other nurses were rude.
My doctor was Dr. Artenos and he was great too. I had a c section. My first one.
I recommend this hospital to anyone.
This hospital is better than Huntington.

Love this hospital, clean, friendly, and efficient. MANY DO NOT UNDERSTAND HOW AN EMERGENCY ROOM WORKS. But in comparison to our surrounding hospitals, this is the better one.

Bad service. it seems the primary doctor of my dad does not even care. been telling the RN-​Tony, that we (my family and i) want to talk to his doctor (dr.berger) but for more than 4hours now, no doctor has come. poor service at all. nice building structure but again very poor service. i hope you treat your patient as nice as how you treat your family member. My family and I just spent one week at the bedside of my ailing 100 year old mother. every person that came to her room was kind, professional, gentle and caring. It was remarkable.
From the physicians, nurses, assistants, cleaning crew. We’re all the best. She ended up in a beautiful hospice setting in the same facility where it was private, quiet and comfortable for all.
We thank everyone who attended her for her competence and compassion.

I had the worst costomer service in my life. security James and Justin are very mean. I will never ever wish any body to go this hospital.

I have FMF Familiar Mediterranean Fever, I end up in hospital often… today experience was different. I felt like, the doctor didn’t see me as a «Patient needing help» But doctor looked me as of i’m there for drugs. It really hurt my feelings, I am a business man so I always have my laptop with me so I can take care of me clients but doctor thought I was there to get high and play music on my computer ?
Was I playing music? No. My feelings were crushed, I lost about $ 1000, but my feelings weren’t crushed because I lost money, my feelings were crushed because how the doctor didn’t care about me, I put everything aside just so I can get checked out and to feel better, I shut off my computer and I just tried to not be driven crazy.
I am never coming back to this hospital ever again.
I waited 4 hours to get in E.R. They didn’t even change my cloths, they took blood from me WHILE I’M IN MY CLOTHS… I had no Idea what I was doing at that hospital.
May God help me to never come back to this hospital ever again.

This hospital needs workers that care. the state of California needs to put people that care for the well being of others, not people that get paperwork and just sit on it for days, weeks without doing anything. this lady has no shame she will sit here and tell me of it’s because my password doesn’t work. Lady my father is dying of cancer and you sit here for FOUR days without doing anything???

This review is based on the maternity ward. I find this to be an awesome hospital! My wife gave birth to all 3 of our kids here and each of our experiences were fairly similar and in this case, that’s a good thing!
The nurses were very helpful, accommodating, and had a great sense of humor. We came in with birthing requests, and they honored them all unless there were some complications and they were looking out for the safety of my wife or the baby.
The delivery rooms are quite spacious and have a comfortable couch to use while waiting. Nurses came in pretty frequently to check on us, and we are fortunate as my wife delivers very quickly so that didn’t have to happen for very long! With my second and third kids, they didn’t really believe me when I said the baby would come quickly which I’m sure is understandable as everyone probably says that, but once they got over the shock of how quickly the baby was about to come, they jumped into action and were very professional through the experience.
We needed NICU for 2 of my 3 kids. My first had a lot of fluid in her lungs they had to pump out and my third came out with the cord wrapped around his neck and I’m not even sure how close to death he was. They were very calm, took care of the situation, and both of my kids requiring their services probably owe them their lives! So glad to have them in the hospital and for the nurses calling them in. We could have had some tragic experiences in our birthing processes without them.
Our post-​delivery stay was also great each time. My wife was pampered (and she loved it) though the food didn’t always look super appetizing. The rooms were also quite spacious and she had her own room. I stayed with her when we had our first child and the couch is futon-​ish like. Didn’t get much sleep as I’m a light weight sleeper and every time the nurse came in, I was awake!
I highly recommend this hospital for maternity needs if you are shopping around for a good hospital.

There are so many opportunities for those who are seeking the healthcare field. I started here in high school as a volunteer and then I joined the internship which used to be called clinical care extender internship but has recently changed to health scholars because they have switched partnerships from UCR to UCLA. I am also a nursing student and have done my clinical rotations here at this hospital so some of the staff remember me as an intern. Surprisingly the food is also really good!!! My favorite is the stuff Bellpeppers from the cafeteria! Parking is free on the weekends.

My father had a growth from his pancreas, his spleen, and part of the actual pancreas removed a few weeks ago. He was sent home a few days later, but in my opinion, it was too soon. He hadn’t even had a proper bowel movement, which usually is a sign that all your internal organs are functioning well.
His condition actually worsened and he was admitted to emergency where he found out that he had developed blood clots in legs that spread and grew in his lungs as well. Very serious situation.
The emergency room was disappointing. My father was in excruciating pain and there wasn’t a nurse in sight. I took matters into my own hands and dragged one of the nurses over to him to give him some kind of pain medication. It was just annoying that I had to go bug them for that. I understand nurses have a lot on their plate but at least try to provide some kind of comfortable environment for your patients.
He was then placed in the ICU where he was cared for by many WONDERFUL nurses.
However, there was one nurse there that I did not care for. I won’t give her name but she really neglected my father. He would page her to come help him and she wouldn’t show up for a half an hour. She’d walk by and ignore him. The IV machines would also start beeping and if they don’t get turned off immediately, the beeping gets louder and louder. And that happened multiple times with this nurse. At one point, the beeping somehow stopped and she came in and argued with one of my family members and accused them of turning it off. Relax, lady. You should be doing your job in the first place and how dare you come in here and accuse us of tampering with the machines. Whatever. I get it. You’re busy, you’ve got other patients but sheesh… Anyway. I digress.
That was the only mishap here. Otherwise, every nurse my father had was amazing, loving, caring, patient, helpful, and kind. These people were in the right profession for sure. Many of them came daily to visit my father and check out his progress, even though they were no longer assigned to him. That’s true, genuine care for your patients.
It’s sad to see so many bad reviews for this place but I definitely understand where you guys are coming from. Especially when a loved one’s health is at stake. Totally get it. I’m just giving my personal experience. I’m giving the 4 stars to all the nurses that made my dad’s stay here easy… The hospital as a whole for me would be given 3 stars.
No place is perfect but honestly if you’re going to be a nurse or doctor, remember that medical issues are psychically, emotionally, and mentally draining for the patients and their family members and friends. The least you could do is put your patients at ease. Think about how you’d want to be treated when you’re in the hospital…

I totally agree with the review of Dale D. if you end up going to the emergency room they will fleece you for every penny they can get. If you need to go to the emergency room here try to make sure they give you an idea of what you’re going to be paying, if not you’ll be surprised by the big bill that they send you after with ridiculous charges.

I’ve been here 3x is 2 years and every experience has been awful. On average wait time is 6 hours.

This is my mom’s second visit to this faculty in a month. The first visit was outstanding 3^rd floor west wing ALL staff was available professional and compassionate. Rooms were updated, clean and patient friendly just like the staff. She was there for three weeks.
Leaving there she went to GAMC rehab… unfriendly staff and filthy conditions old outdated depressing rooms. This stay landed her two serious infections and then she while needing to be readmitted to the hospital to care for this was released home.
After a week and a half at home with home health she was once again readmitted to the hospital for the same infection she got in the rehab, but this time 4^th floor the step child of the hospital old out dated rooms, not patient friendly. The room wasn’t cleaned for the first two days she was there and mind you it was a infectious disease quarantined room. The patient care was minimal with the exception of Anna and Dominique the two nurses there and one lovely aide she had two times and the OT/​PT people but I can’t recall their names. While I was visiting her Friday morning, I observed one nurse’s aide not using hygienic practices while tending to my mother and I had to make her aware of it.
The Customer Care rep came in to see Friday and the «HOSPITAL» sent her flowers. We were impressed they took time to listen to my mother’s concerns about her stay in the EAST wing. SInce then, her care began to dwindle. She was moved for no reason last night to the 2^nd floor, the cancer wing, she does not have cancer, late in the evening after she had gone to sleep. They did not bring her portable potty but gave her a bed pan. Her night nurse told her «Can’t you just get up and use the bathroom on your own?» I guess she did not read the chart or notice the HUGE sign that states fall risk and she isn’t suppose to have to go that far at night time and unassisted. She was given a bed pan to use and as of this Unilocal she was still sitting on it waiting for a nurse.
What has happened to this hospital? Do they even care for their patiences? The lack of care has been very apparent this time while charge nurse and my mom’s night nurse have fought with my mother who is ill? The hospital’s mission is NOT what they state.

Note: My father, my three boys as well as myself were born in this hospital. I had great respect and loyalty for them the past few years, but no longer.

I had the pleasure of being cared for by a team of excellent people from security guards, to intake nurses, and Rn’s as well as Physicians. Each one I dealt with, made me feel at ease and comfortable. They were genuinely kind and truly interested in me and the care I needed. Here are the names of many of whom I met with that made me feel valued, and I might add, they make everyone feel the same way and treat everyone with the same outstanding level of care. They take time to listen and answer questions too. Dr Shin, outstanding physician, Stephen RN Am shift, Martha RN Triage nurse, Erik who met me at the front desk, was so nice and patient with me, even the security guards were so kind and helpful. It is rare these days to receive the level of care this place offers and to ALL patients as well. God Bless this Hospital, and God bless the staff!!!

This review is solely for the (L&D and couplet care).
I delivered my daughter on November 6, 2014. I had a great start to my delivery. Dr. Ronald Wu, my OB-​GYN, had helped with a planned delivery. Dr. Wu had reserved a room for me the night he wanted me to come in to get induced. But before coming in, he had told me to relax at home and enjoy a good meal. I came in around 10 p.m. and settled into the room easily. The L&D room was pretty big and most importantly, clean. There was a couch for the boo thang to rest and sleep on.
My nurse that night was Catina. She was attentive, caring, funny, and there when I needed her. I’m a big baby when it comes to needles. Yes, I am a nurse but I like to stick people, not the other way around lol. Surprised I didn’t passed out from getting the IV and having it stay in me. And yes, it is THAT bad to me! Anyway, she did the best she could with starting my IV and I survived! I had a lot of nurses during my stay there and they were all wonderful. I wished I remembered all of their names.
There came a point when my epidural dislodged. The anesthesiologist wasn’t available because he was in a surgery. I was laying in pain and in tears from the contractions for about 45 minutes. However, one of the nurse (an educator) came in to help comfort me, positioned me, and tried different therapeutic techniques and distractions to help keep my mind off of the pain. I definitely appreciated all her effort and patience with me. Both anethesiologists I had were very nice and professional. They did what they could to make sure my pain was taken care of.
There was 3 downside for me. First, I don’t recall being offered a lactation consult. Lucky for me, my princess latched on immediately. Second, the hospital didn’t do baby footprint. Third, the discharge process took a while. There was miscommunication in what still needed to be done prior to discharge. I had to reminded them that the hearing test needed to be done.
Overall, I had a pretty good experience. Nurses were available when needed and they all helped each other out. Oh, and Catina, RN came in to visit me on her day off! I thought that was really sweet of her.

OK this place won my trust… they are very good in the L&D DEPT. Great experience here… Sharon The delivering nurse at Labor n delivery was a beast and i mean it In a good way she was my coach she made my delivery smooth… she was consistent w me and kept up… Her confidence her upbeat attitude was beyond… They give you lots of comfort and leave your baby on your side and are always making sure you are OK… the food is great and the place is clean… nurses are always checking up on babies… Can’t complain… You won’t regret it…
