Ive been meaning to try this salon for a while, being a fan of AVEDA but not so much of their salons. It was a pleasant surprise seeing Ashley today for a brow tint. She made sure it looked just as I wanted and was very friendly. Definitely AVEDA concept, with some nice tea and a pleasant environment.

Carolina is an amazing stylist! I’ve seen her for highlights, color, and haircuts. She always listens to what I want and gives good suggestions when I don’t know what to do with my hair. She is super sweet, and I always leave happy. Thank you Carolina!

Avoid this place. Renee seemed drunk during our wax appointment. She was very rude and bruised my skin by going over my bikini area too many times with the wax. Worst place ever!

I love the atmosphere and staff here! Every time I’ve gone, I’ve had top notch service. I usually go to get my eyebrows waxed and by the time I’m leaving, the redness is already going away. Renee does a professional job and I never have to worry about being burned by the wax or have my skin ripped off like I have had at other salons. I can tell that they do their best to give great service and the staff are super sweet!

warning: they will ruin your eyebrows the people here are rude and terrible and they ruined my perfect brows The receptionist literally scoffed at me for asking why my appointment was running 20 minutes late, then the waxing lady brought me into a waxing room with a dirty towel on the bed. Left patches of hair during my Brazilian then kept leaving during my brow wax to talk to her friends outside, then proceeded to literally wax off a random patch of my left brow, and sent me home with wax all over the side of my face, If you have an enemy who you wish harm upon, you should send them to this hell hole salon

I’ve never before had an experience at a salon like this one right here. I used to think the service I got at my local Fantastic Sams was good, but the friendly atmosphere, ease of booking an appointment, and professionalism of all the staff at Glendale Salonspa blew my mind. They are caring, actually talk to you during the hair cut and they give you amazing massages as an added part of the service; I definitely feel like the value of the experience and truly understanding the style I’m going for far outweighs what they charge. Treat yourself to a new standard at Glendale Salonspa!

I love this place. Specifically, my hairstylist, Lina. She always does a fantastic job with my hair and is a pleasure to be around. When I was pregnant with twins, the staff always went above and beyond to make me comfortable and that to me is worth 5 stars. My color and style is always exactly as I want it and I always leave happy! Thank you, Glendale SalonSpa and Lina for taking great care of my hair!

I went to the Glendale salon spa for 3 years. The first two stylists that I had were great but both ended up leaving the salon. I then started seeing the owner(Renee). The highlights and cuts were generally pretty good. On my last visit she over-processed my bangs and burned off my hair. She didn’t even mention it and blow dried it in a way that was covered up. When I got home and was playing with my hair, I noticed that all of the under side of my bangs was completely gone!!! I was so upset that she didn’t tell me and just sent me on my way like everything was fine. I called the salon and she was not available to talk, so I left a message for her to call me. She never returned my phone call. Prior to my visit I did not have bangs but after having the front part of my hair so badly burned I had to cut bangs. I am disappointed, and have never returned.

Fantastic Service! I recently moved to LA from Atlanta and was looking for a place to get my haircut. I have been to multiple Aveda salons because I have never been disappointed with the products, styling, and customer service. I can say the exact same for Glendale Salon Spa. The booking process was incredibly easy. The receptionist thoroughly explained the different pricing based on the stylists. They were also able to fit me in for a Saturday appointment a week later, which was great. The closer I got to my appointment, they were prompt at sending me reminders(via phone call/text). Also, the day of my appointment there was a cancellation, so they called and asked if I had interest in an earlier appointment(I did!). The stylist(Marisa) was awesome. She listened to exactly what I wanted in a haircut. She was also fun to talk to and gave an amazing scalp/shoulder/hand massage. That being said, I will 100% be returning. They even gave me a $ 20 off coupon for another service which was great! The cost of my haircut was $ 60 + Tip which is incredibly reasonable. Kudos to you, Glendale SalonSpa! I’m glad I was able to find a great salon nearby that had such attentive and nice stylists!

I have dark, coarse, dry hair and it is almost impossible to find a stylist who can properly cut and style it. Tamara is a breath of fresh air! She managed to give me the most beautiful layers as well as an amazing blow dry. She also has an awesome vibe/attitude so talking to her wasn’t forced like it can be at other salons. The staff here is friendly and the receptionist is very knowledgeable on the types of Aveda products that would fit your hair. I will be back!

I have been in search for a good hairdresser for a while. I decided to check out this salon from the good reviews and yes i was very glad to have paid my visit. I had Lina and she was amazing. She knew exactly what i wanted and was very friendly. I felt so taken care of. They also gave me a free hand and arm massage which was nice. All of the staff there are very attentive and are very professional. I went in for a color and walked out feeling absolutely fabulous. I am going to book myself in for a trim soon and am looking forward for my next visit. ^_^ P. S. Don’t miss out on their special mint tea. i think i had about 4 =p

This review is from a mens cut perspective, so it might not transfer over to a woman’s experience. I went here expecting to pay $ 25 for a haircut, a pice I have come to expect from Aveda salons after going to 4 or 5 different ones over the past few years. They do not have separate mens pricing here so the low end will cost you $ 50 and it can get up to $ 80 depending on who you get. When I mentioned that I thought the salon would have a mens cut price and a woman’s cut price they told me you receive a free cleanup in a few weeks so you can go longer between cuts, therefore the price evens out. I just got back from my «cleanup» a few hours ago and I swear I could count the number of hairs they actually cut. It literally took less than 2 minutes and was the most insanely pointless thing I have ever done. They obviously are not used to giving mens cuts because of the price issue but also they don’t even have clippers or are familiar with what«number» is equivalent to what length. I’ve been to plenty of nice salons that at least have one set of clippers for the rare occasion that a man comes to get a haircut. The staff is nice and you will get a nice haircut here, but you will pay the price of two or three haircuts at a similar salon, should skip the«clean up» because its not worth the gas, and should go in knowing what length in inches corresponds to your clipper number.

I’ve been to several stylists here and they’re all great! I settled on Lena as my go-to recently, but the whole staff is professional and courteous. The scalp and hand massages really go above and beyond!

I’ve tried many hair stylists in the area before settling on Glendale Salon Spa as my favorite. It’s an Aveda salon, so you know they adhere to a certain level of quality. The products are organic and leaves as little carbon footprint as possible, which is nice to know with all the shampoos and products. They have different levels and prince ranges for all their stylists. I personally go to Lina who charges about $ 60, but I think that went up a little as she was recently promoted. I don’t mind, as she does an excellent job with my fine hair and her haircuts are really consistent. She is one of the few stylists who really listens to me and doesn’t cut my hair shorter than I ask for! I go every few months to Renee for eyebrow waxing which I am always so pleased with. She does a great job and is really friendly. I also got a full leg wax here for my wedding and I felt it was a nice job. All the staff here are friendly and helpful. They are always great when I have questions regarding products or can recommend something to me based on my skin/hair needs. Be sure to bring cash for a tip and there’s a small parking area in the back, but I find sometimes street paring is your best bet!

Just not worth it. I spent $ 60 for what should have been a $ 30 haircut. My hair isn’t too hard to cut, but it does take some thought — I want long layers on my fine hair. The woman who cut it never once pulled out the razor. Razoring is necessary to get hair like mine to look right. Instead, I ended up with graduated layers around my face that never blended properly. I waited a long time before I wrote my review, thinking the cut would somehow even out. Nope. I went someplace else downtown last week, and got an absolutely superb haircut for $ 45. Glendale Salon Spa is not worth the money.

Great place for color and cutting of your locks. Website: Hours: Tuesday — Friday 9:00 a.m. — 8:00 p.m. Saturday 9:00 a.m. — 5:00 p.m. Rene, the owner and master stylist, has been taking care of my hair for the past three years and I know I will always be happy when I walk out of there. The rest of the stylists are very skilled and there are different levels. See the website above for price list or call. Glendale Salon Spa uses all Aveda products for color which are more plant based and less harmful than other hair dyes. Once you give them your e-mail they offer lots of last minute appointment specials. Parking: In rear for free or metered on the street

Heather M. at Glendale Salon Spa is amazing. She gave me what I feel is the best haircut I’ve ever had. She listens and totally understands my needs and gives a quick and precise cut. She is also fabulous with color and a blast to chat with while you wait. The salon is very accommodating. They always offer me a beverage, give me a hand and scalp massage, and have even gave me a free make-up application one time! They also offer free bang trims which I always take advantage of. Give Heather a try, you won’t be disappointed.
