I’m demanding. I expect to do business with the owner. Someone with experience and the authority to make decisions. I’m price sensitive, but it’s not my first concern. George Alvarez has run this optician’s shop for 40 years, yet it has modern products and services. He stands by his work, never charges for simple repairs or adjustments and welcomes you back into his shop like a long lost friend. It’s worth the trip to patronize this old world craftsman. I did and I wasn’t sorry.

George is the greatest! He fix all my problems in matter of seconds. I am so thankful they are places like these when it is an emergency. I walk into Glenview optical today after being turn down by costco because they couldn’t not use my old frames.

George is through, kind, efficient, personable, experienced and pleasant. The office is clean and quaint. A little tricky to locate with Google maps on the first attempt — just behind Burger King. Great location — hmmm… no Saturday hours???

If you want custom work done on glasses, this is the place to go. They are very affordable and helpful. Some big opticals refer their custom jobs to Glenview optical. Emergency jobs? No problem, they are very flexible and willing to help.

Christina agreed to see me on a Saturday to fix my wife’s eyeglasses, she really made an effort to make sure it got done properly and affordably. She was able to save me a lot of money by being able to fix it.
