The food is decent here, but I wish the staff were a bit more accommodating or even acted as if the customer matters. However, we’ll keep coming back since the food is good. A little customer service goes a long way though!

Horrible service! I come to eat here after work almost everyday, and I like the food but the service is so bad, I went to pick up my order thinking it was mine and the guy handing out the food gave me such a nasty attitude and told me «it’s not yours» I felt very un welcomed and embarrassed, I don’t think I’ll come here again, and I will not recommend this place to anyone anymore. This is not the first time, they always make me feel uncomfortable.

Been coming here for years, thanks to my bro for sharing this gem of a place. From the burgers to their chicken strip and breakfast burritos, always fantastic!!!

I went today for a very simple order and the older lady in the drive thru was so rude! I went today 12⁄309am. She rolled her eyes when I first got there. Not I mention their window is on the opposite side! Never again

Cheeseburger is always on point at gold star hamburgers. They have a variety of food apart from a regular burger joint. Their breakfast menu is quite good like the breakfast burrito.

I am still fantasizing about the delicious food at Gold Star. My family and I went there many many times in the last few weeks due to a need to be in the area. We all loved this restaurant. They were so kind, so welcoming, and the food is truly outstanding. The service is also very good – no complaints at all. The prices are reasonable, and as a vegetarian, they were very accommodating to my needs. Their fried zucchini is divine, and their fries are the very best. I just loved their garden burger – I think I ate it ten times. I love this place – clean, hospitable, comfortable, and very homey. Thank you for taking good care of us in a time of need.

Gold Star is an old school joint that has a place in my heart forever. My family and I were dealing with a crisis at nearby Glendale Memorial and happened upon this jewel. We ended up going back every day, at least once a day. The service is personable, consistent and excellent. The food is also consistently delicious, affordable and served quickly. The restaurant is always busy but it is always clean and again, the service is always personal and excellent. I especially recommend the fried zucchini and the patty melt. They also have a delicious garden burger and will use the patty for any of their menu items. I love Gold Star and wish there was one closer to me in northern California, but I will just have to visit southern California as often as possible now!!!

Food was just decent. We came one night randomly, and it was pretty empty. We wanted to go through drive through at first, but after waiting in the back of a 3 car line for over 15min– we decided to go in. Clean restaurant inside. Service was just ok. Our bill ended up being kind of expensive for the quality of food. Probably won’t be back.

Went here because it was the only option within walking distance from the Mazda dealership where I was getting an oil change. Had the burger, fries and iced tea. Decent quality for fast food, but I was expecting better given the price. Would have rather had a smaller portion than pay so much– ended up stuffing my face to feel like I got my money’s worth. Definitely left that greasy spoon feeling in me for several hours.

Totally my spot. BLT Extra Bacon Extra Mayo. or actually Anything on the vast menu. A main staple of the area. George & Pricilla are genuinely great people. Actually the only restaurant of this type I give my business to in LA. Thanks Guys, see you in the morning. :)

My usual spot right around the corner. Was watching a burger special on TV and I couldn’t help myself. Quick and really good. Double bacon cheeseburger on toasted sourdough.

Hustling and bustling burger joint that delivers good food piping hot and fast. Excellent fast breakfast with a good cup of joe. In and out for under $ 10 so a definite find. My omelet was nothing mind blowing but it was good but the home fries are moist and tasty. If u have a hangover this is your destination. I really like the everybody vibe with families and hipsters all just eating and hanging. This place is real. #truth

Been coming here since 89′ and still going strong. Had a chance to chat with Peter today, the proprietor’s son he saved me the ATM fee by informing me that they now accept Credit/Debit Cards! Burgers are my favorite, the sauce makes them *saucy* and the meat is to die for-not me but the sacrificial cow! My pops’ favorite is the steak sandwich! No one in family can complain about all the delicious steak and egg breakfasts we have had throughout the years! Lord knows it’s saved mama from plenty of pots, pans and dishes to wash let alone all the rest and relaxation! Gold Star is a permanent fixture in Glendale and will eventually be a historical landmark! They don’t make burgers like this anymore!

Typing this while taking a break from this bombass Asada Burrito that I’m killing as of this moment wheew! Feeling beads of sweat creeping off my forehead haha. This burrito and a Tapatio sauce is all I need in this joint. I dont really care about the décor which is straight out of the 60s lol, just have this available whenever my feign for burritos hits!

I passed Gold Star while on my way to Rally’s. I never had a Rally’s burger so I thought on a Friday I would give it a go. But I saw Gold Star and decided to try them instead. First of all, the drive thru is on the opposite side which means you have to pass over the passenger side for the food and money exchange. WTF Second. I got an ice tea with no ice. WTF I bought the regular cheeseburger with fries. Good size burger but lack luster taste. And the fries… meh. With the tea it came to a lil over $ 8. The whole experience was mediocre to low with staff looking just a lil too ‘lax. I probably wouldn’t come back here unless I was with friends and we were around the area. So basically not likely. Cheers.

Driving through a sea of car stores can get annoying when you have a poopy car. But hidden within this ocean of cars is Gold Star. What a treat. All of the different foods you want in one place. And most of them taste good. Plus everyone eats here. One bald dude was eating with a grey haired business dude next to a table of kids… And none of them were related. I just saw a girl who did a bad job on her eyebrows. What I’m saying is that people from all walks of life come to eat the foods. It just makes me think back to when my family used to get together for the holidays. We had 8 deaths in about 3 months which kind of ended our«family». I’ll never have the chance to host a family gathering. I mean yeah I could have kids and start my own family but i’m about to turn 39 and i don’t have a girlfriend and I have to borrow money from a co-worker for rent. Anyways I could see myself coming here a lot because it’s hard to cook for just one. Thank You

The burger was dry. The chili fries. .. ugh. The staff gets one star. The drive through is on the right side, so you’ll have to reach across your passenger seat to pay/receive your food.

Just had dinner here w/my wife for about the fourth time. The burger I had was large and juicy, medium rare — with large pieces of crisp iceberg lettuce and several slices of tomato-on a good quality bun. I didn’t specify– they just made it that way and it was perfect. $ 7.29 with fries(the real thing) and a fountain drink. For $ 1 extra I substituted onion rings for the fries: good and crispy though oddly orange colored. My wife enjoyed her patty melt and fries. The fifth star would have been given if they offered more than the standard fountain selection plus iced tea, and if they offered desserts.
