SOGOOD! I ordered for delivery and they did not disappoint! I got a full order of orange chicken, shrimp fried rice, and a half order of wonton soup. The portions are big so be mindful. I ordered for 3 people and the food was more than plenty. I don’t know if they always include this, but there was also some white rice. Everything tasted great. Will definitely order again.

Recently ordered from here twice. The gentlemen on the phone was very nice. First time was for delivery. They said 45mins-1hour. It was here in 40mins! Delicious food, great customer service. Second time, I came in to eat and the food was delicious. Denny, I agree with you on their large portions! Everything I ordered was delicious and fresh! Yang chow Fried rice(it has bbq pork, shrimp, and chicken).! Fried cream cheese wontons, and Pan Fried Dumplings are a must try! The best Orange Chicken I’ve ever had!!! Crystal, I don’t know what your talking about, your taste buds are probably $@&!‘D up, and your disgusting thumb ruined that orange chicken picture.

Portions were huge and the food is good. Had the honey walnut prawns, fried rice, orange chicken and dumplings. It’s a little hole in the wall, but the family that owns it is very nice and the food was good.

I came to this place based on reviews. I am not sure how it has 4 stars because the place is disgusting. I spent $ 20 and just threw our food away. I ordered sweet & sour chicken and chicken & broccoli. It is already super expensive and then when I saw how little I got compared to other Chinese places I was thrown back. I should have asked but most places put the sweet & sour sauce on the side. My chicken was soaked in sauce. Then the chicken & broccoli most places I go to have a sauce mixed in it. This was plain and the chicken tastes like rubber. I will definitely not be back to this place. Also, egg rolls don’t even come with that price.

Really rude service. No customer service and don’t give a $&@ about they’re customers. I don’t think I will come back here…

Friendly service and you get A LOT of food for how little you pay. I was also surprised that there was no minumum credit card charge. Nearly EVERY chinese restaurant I’ve been in has had a minimum credit card charge. I was pleasantly surprised that this place didn’t.

This place has great food!!! but horrible customer service and I as a person look at that a lot!!! Called to make an order and ask if they deliver they pick up and tell me call back in an hour when we open. Well you just lost business for 15 people. Their customer service is the worst even though they have good food. Maybe you just hire someone who one has customer serive skills and two knows how to speak English !!!

Very good stuff. I tried a takeout of their garlic shrimp and BBQ pork fried rice. Great flavor in the sauce for the shrimp. Fried rice was the bomb. This is definitely Cantonese influenced by Hong Kong. Totally recommend their lunch specials — great price. Really nice people. Portions are very large, so be careful when ordering. If not there are lots of leftovers — maybe not a bad thing. Crystal, you are a pretentious snot to assert that there is no «love» in the preparation of the food. Clearly, your elite status has gone to your head.

I called to order a lunch pick up order because so many people were raving about the food. Unfortunately I can not join in on the raving as I was not impressed by the food quality. Often times people will rate a restaurant on the quantity of food and not the taste or quality and that is problematic. I believe this to be the case at this establishment. Perhaps the high reviewing Unilocal customers to not cook or shop for themselves, but here is an example of the issue I see here. The largest portion was the«fried rice». Rice is terribly inexpensive. With the perhaps two cups of rice that I was given it was only flavored with a shot or two of soy sauce. There was no love or care taken with the preparation or ingredients in this rice. I added another soy packet and it still didn’t help. If I saw a slice of egg or a shred of bean sprouts or onions I’d be more inclined to change my opinion, but none of the additional ingredients were included. White rice covered in soy sauce is a major fail for my palate. The main dish was the Orange Chicken and that was better in taste, but lacking in quality and portion sizes of the chicken. The sauce was great, but was not spicy as indicated on the menu. It seems to have been fried crispy as the texture still remained after driving the food home in the sweaty to go container. The pieces were less than bite sized. They were the size of my thumb nail or smaller. At times I believe I was eating batter covered in sauce and had no meat inside. Unacceptable! If you get your lunch special to go there is no soup included. Bummer! There was an egg roll that had cabbage inside and nothing else, no seasoning. There was also the tiniest cheese wonton that I’ve ever seen. It was the size of my thumbnail and a half. The dollop of cream cheese inside was so cute that I couldn’t imagine how they scooped so little in there. The sad thing is that it tasted super good. If I only had another 20 I would have been a happy camper. The owner was very nice and sweet and they were getting a large to go order as I waited for my food. I’m glad that other people love their food, but I wasn’t impressed.

Creative Dishes. Excellent quality. Xiao Long Bao(Chinese Dumplings with soup inside) were by far my favorite, everyone at the table thoroughly enjoyed them. Drinks were sub par and not mixed properly. Hong Kong Kitchen was overpriced but it was to be expected when they are situated in a hotel.

Hands down they have the best orange chicken ever ! The place itself is very small and looks weird from outside but have to try it.

All I have to say is don’t judge a book by it’s cover!!! My co workers and I came here on a Tuesday during lunch and I really enjoyed the food and the overall experience. Hong Kong Kitchen is located on Pacific and Plum street at the corner, it’s definitely one of the whole in wall places but the food is really good. Not only that the service was great too. The interior of the place is very cute they have little panda bear wallpapers and about 7 tables/booths in total. They get a lot of to go orders and have some great lunch specials. We ordered the hot and sour soup, the sweet and sour chicken, the orange chicken, the kung pao chicken, curry vegetable fried rice and chow fun. Everything we ordered was delicious but hands down the Orange chicken takes the price, it was crunchy and so savory at the same time. The kung pao chicken had a nice kick to it and I loved the little watercress in it too very crunchy and yummy. Oh and we also got the cream cheese wontons those were delicious! At the end of the meal we all were given fortune cookies. The meal was very affordable, great lunch specials, very good service. Family owned restaurant and you can totally tell they care about their customers. Very good food and I definitely will be back!

This place is amazing. The fam that runs it are all super nice. The food is amazing and the portions are more than generous. I even sometimes get an egg flower or a hot n sour soup that’s Called the«1 $ dollar» size. So it’s in a small container or cup if you eat in and will give you that nice soup fill if you don’t wanna buy a whole bowl. Delivery is always timely and foods always hot and exactly what you ordered. The menu is extensive and everything I have ordered is delicious. Chili fan? Ask for spicy mustard to go with your bbq pork appetizer.

Old Mom & Pop Chinese Restaurant at the edge of Glendale into Burbank. Takeout or delivery seems like the best options. I’d eat there again, because to me, it seems like authentic Asian food. A small place. Nice people. Good food. Lunch Specials. Dinner for 2 Specials. Lots of Chef Picks. Street parking is limited.

Decided to give this place another try after ordering take out several times with below average food. Ordered vegetable chow mein and Kung pao chicken. The chow mein was horrible. You have to really try to mess is chow mein. There was zero flavor and you could taste the old oil. Ugh! I was really craving chow mein. The Kung pao chicken. They should just call it water chestnut with a hint of chicken. The very few pieces chicken that were all cut in different sizes tasted really bad — like the chicken was really old and smelly before it was cooked. It was just all very unsatisfying. I am about to order some Thai to make up for the horrible dining experience.

This was my «go to» place as the food tasted fresh and wasn’t oily. The first time I had a problem with them was when i sent my mom to get me their Orange chicken and Yan’s fried rice. They were both dry and overcooked. There have been other minor issues like not knowing that they’re out of something when we call to order so then we willingly change our order due to them not having a product. So on Tuesday we decided to order a few different items, poo poo platter, shrimp w/asparagus, beef in garlic sauce and combination rice. Our order was wrong(beef with asparagus instead of shrimp) we only got 3 of the 4 things(no beef in garlic) and the poo poo platter had the most dried out food. I’m attaching a picture of the foil wrapped chicken that was black. I would’ve taken more pictures but i had thrown the other items awary. I called and the guy who answered the phone chose to tell new i was wrong because he packed it. My bad, did you try eating it too. We’ve been accommodating on numerous occasions but I’m done giving them my money when they have no customer service skills nor do they care to. I’ll take my business somewhere else.

I feel bad for giving it only two stars cause they were so nice but the food was not good. We ordered the BBQ pork chow mein and all we could taste was the oil in it. It was super bland and over powered by the insane amount of noodles. There was barely any meat or vegetables :-( The walnut shrimp was delicious. I will give them that. The BBQ pork slices were ok. They came drenched in some sort of sauce … It may be just me but growing up, the BBQ pork slices were plain and they came with hot mustard and sweet n sour sauce on the side with seeds.

From the reviews and ratings I had high expections but I think this place might have been great at some point. Some Unilocalers rated it a 4, well not sure about that. Hey everyone has formed their own opinion. Walked in and the place was empty, no one but a cook having his lunch as well. Got there around 2:30 pm on a Monday afternoon and ordered a lunch special, special runs until 4pm. The lady that was first up front had no people skills, but I wasn’t here for customer service, been to enough Chinese restaurants not to expect very much, to some of us its rudeness or attitude but that’s the way some people are, order and let’s go, out the door. Ok so after sitting there I placed my order of combination kung pao and steam rice. The lunch special if you have it inside comes with crispy wonton strips over sweet salad and a choice of soup(had the spicy sour) and the plate has the egg roll(veggie) and a crispy wonton(cream cheese). If you order it to go(takeout) well then you don’t get the salad or soup. My plate was huge and the portions for under $ 7 was fantastic, but unfortunately you can taste the product that isn’t great, my kung pao came with shrimp, beef and chicken and both the beef was a bit tough, the chicken was ok, the shrimp was decent, you have the choice of fried rice as well. Upon looking at the cashier from where I was seated you can see that if you use a credit card there is a $ 10 minimum, so after seeing my receipt that was placed after receiving my food it said under $ 8 with taxes, so what did my slim body do, order a special to go! Went with the orange chicken and steam rice, had it at home for dinner and their orange chicken was alright but I have had much better. Wish this place could have been better but with a few other restaurants in the area I can skip this place, by the way, another older woman and young man assisted me and were beyond polite, maybe that personality will have me walking back and try some other dish.
