They have something for everyone! Sweet blended drinks, a nice cup of coffee without all the frills, or a refreshing smoothie/iced tea! If you’re in the mood for a yummy pastry or warm bagel, they offer that as well. Service is always sweet and personal. Haley is always professional and friendly! One of my favorite things is the vegan cookies they offer from Alternative Baking Company. I love stopping in for a delicious Toddy(hard to find) and one of the vegan cookies. :) They have cute tumblrs as well as coffee cups and seasonal bags of coffee beans for sale(a great gift). Their winter blend was amazing, and I’ve smelled their new coconut flavor for summer, which smells heavenly! Go take a whiff! Bottom line, if you’re on the west side looking for a chill coffee spot, support local and stop by!

I’ve been here a handful of times. It’s great coffee and a nice space to hang out in. They feature certain flavors or roasts occasionally(current one is coconut caramel sandies). The staff is laid back and friendly; they actually look like they enjoy what they do. I didn’t notice anything ripped, broken, or taped down inside the shop. I like the blended white chocolate mocha and caramel iced coffee. Neither were too sweet and the coffee is smooth, not bitter.

First… is this a coffee house or a homeless shelter! The owner obviously doesn’t care about their business which reflects on its lack of total care of the establishment; ripped cushions, filthy chairs, broken fireplace with masking tape covering broken drawers, light switches, etc. Its just an eyesore. Ordered the hot chocolate… flavorless. Another West Valley failure. Sad.

I was at Bank of America and needed a place to meet my merchant service rep so we found this coffee shop… I was 7months pregnant and was asking the owner for advice on what I can have WITHOUT caffeine(I was trying to be courteous and purchase something since we were using their table for business — which I probably won’t do again!!)… Anyway, she was extremely RUDE and kept side eyeing to her worker that was behind the side counter as if she didn’t want to help me. Being a small business owner myself, I believe that if you CAN’T HANDLE your business or your ego is as big as Godzilla… KARMA is A B_TCH… Word of mouth is the BEST advertising and this mouth ain’t gonna get her more customers… THATSFORSURE! Honestly, I don’t even know how they got 4 stars!!! I would’ve given it a NEGATIVE5 if I could… Some advice for the owner, GOBACKTOBUSINESSSCHOOL… Oh and by the other reviews… Maybe you should go back to learning how to make REALCOFFEETOO… Btw… Aloooooooha :)

My husband and I have been here many times. The owner has a bad attitude and most of the employees have a bad attitude, go figure. They are lucky there is not a Starbucks in the Target store nearby or they would definitely be out of business. Overall, we always leave feeling unsatisfied with the quality. The drinks are too sweet and the price is too high. I definitely prefer Dutch Bros or Starbucks. Even Crossroads down the street has better coffee!

I was initially excited to find a fairly close coffee house where I could get an espresso and some fresh beans. Again I am severely disappointed, total waste of $ 33. This is what they show on their web site: 1. Crema is the luscious golden foam that sits on top of the espresso. 2. The Pour needs to come down like honey dripping off the back of a spoon. 3. The Time should be between 23 – 27 seconds with a perfect shot extracting in 25 seconds. 4. The Puck should knock out of the portafilter firm and dry and look like a hockey puck. I got a white chocolate and raspberry cookie that was nearly 100% white chocolate, hardly any cookie. The banana nut muffin was dry and a bit stale. The double espresso was served in a paper cup and was evedently prepared by someone who never read the company web site. I wish I had tasted the so called espresso before I also bought a 2 lb bag of beans for making espresso at home. When I got home I noticed that the roast date of the beans was 9/21, I bought the beans 10⁄31. The«use by» date on the bag was 9÷21÷2016! Are the people running this place that clueless that they think roasted coffee beans can retain freshness more than a few weeks? When I made a shot at home it tasted exactly like I thought oily, old beans would taste. I have made over 10,000 espresso shots over the last 10 years so I know good espresso. Go to Press Coffee in Scottsdale for great espresso.

Everyone is very friendly, excellent customer service, quality coffee. I always order an iced americano from Starbucks and haven’t found another coffee shop that is as good until now. Luckily, there were no Starbucks on the way to work so I had to try something new. It’s way better!!! Highly recommend!

I wanted to try a coffee shop in the area, so I went to It’s A Grind. The place was not busy on a Monday morning, which is nice. The cashier was very friendly and the coffee was tasty. I especially like the Hawaiian blend that I got. The place need a little work though. The booth chair was ripping apart and it looked like some of the chairs came from the dumpster. I don’t know if they were going for the vintage look, but I did not feel comfortable sitting in the sofa chairs. I’m glad there are a bunch of regular wood seats. The tables looked very cool though, with that vintage feel to them, which is why I think the sofa chairs are supposed to look like they do. Anyways, I expected better, but at least the coffee is good

Coffee here is very bland. I’ve been here a couple times, always willing to give it another chance, and I have ordered different drinks… Still no. I decided that I won’t be coming back. I need my coffee with a better and stronger taste.

I’m not sure how this place got a 4 star average. maybe being from Seattle I’m a coffee shop nut with high expectations? The café itself is pretty small without a whole lot of available seating. Someone in a previous review recommended the furniture needed some up keeping… no, it needs to ALLBEREPLACED! I felt pretty grossed out sitting on one of the booth chairs; I’m not sure how long their furniture has been around, but it’s been around long enough there there are black butt marks and tears on almost all of it, yuck! It’s nice they have free wi-fi, but I think the trade off for free is speed… the internet was slooooow. I ordered a pretty standard iced vanilla latte that turned out to be an over-priced $ 5+ cup of milk. I would love to give my opinion on the coffee but I didn’t taste any of it :/ My suggestion for the owners: Update your furnishings and work on your coffee craft, that should get you to 5-stars.

I only wish more locations were available!!! The place is cute and cozy with seating spots outside as well. The staff members are friendly and pleasant. So far every hot coffee latte I’ve experienced here have been amazing from first sip of foam to the last drop — literally bottoms up! I have been drinking the almond Cinnamon bun latte. It might be on the sweet side for those without a sweet tooth. Nonetheless, no bitter bite to the coffee. They actually sell cinnamon bun coffee beans. I’ll be back to try some iced coffee! Oh — I was not offered a punch card initially, but don’t forget to grab one. You will make use of it. Buy 9, get the 10th free. :)

Spent a morning here working and connecting with a few friends and loved it. Coffee is great, service was friendly. I think the place could use a little TLC as far as the furniture is concerned but nothing that would keep me away in the future. Looking forward to working here again in the future.

It’s an alternative coffee chain to Starbucks. A little pricey but the sizes are a little bit bigger. Their iced soy chai is really yummy, don’t forget to ask for cinnamon on top — which is my favorite part. There’s plenty of seating to study or just hang out.

Whenever I’m craving that bean water when I’m visiting my parents, It’s A Grind is the place to go — mainly because it’s the closest coffee shop by their house! I’ve only had their Nutty Cow with soy, the Caramel Macchiato with soy, and this hot spiced cider drink they serve around the holidays. It’s A Grind always brings warm fuzzy memories of grabbing cider with my older brothers on Christmas morning. I feel for the baristas who work on Christmas, seriously. The atmosphere at this coffee shop is casual and low-key. Think Starbucks but with less wannabe hipsters and more zombie-like adults trying to get through the day. They have stacks of newspaper for you to borrow to read, plenty of outlets for your electronics, and a wide selection of biscottis for purchase to dunk into your drinks. They’re not stingy with the A/C, they don’t mind if you sit around for a couple of hours, and the music ain’t bad. Two thumbs up for It’s A Grind!

I always can’t wait to try a new coffee shop… until it’s actually time to go. That’s when the fear sets in and the questions pop in my head! Will they have comfortable seating? Will there be outlets to plug into? Will I like the drinks? Will the people there accept me for me or will they expect me to change? Ok, maybe not that last one… but you get the idea. This place was neither in a location that I was too familiar with, nor near my ultimate destination… but with the help of Unilocal’s trusty mobile app, I found enough information about this cool little place to get over my fear and stop in to get some work done. Comfortable seating? Yep! This place is probably only about 1100 square feet, so it’s not huge by any means, but there was plenty of available seating. And the seats were the big comfy type that I can sit back in and really get focused on my work. Outlets? Yes! Many! Service? I literally asked a dozen questions of the helpful barrista and she answered all of them with a smile. And the drinks? I had the Famous Mint Mocha. It was very good. And while I only ordered a regular, I ended up getting a large. So why is it famous you ask? Actually that was one of the many questions I asked that and… well, you’ll have to go there and find out for yourself!
