I had a great service by Irma, I was stressed and really enjoyed my visit. However, the only thing that killed my vibe was this other hair stylist who pushed my stylist out of the way to sweep up hair, then she took the broom and swept over my feet twice. I was so MAD, I said you need to wait until she’s done with my service, you don’t have to do this now. And she argued and said she did, that was so RUDE! I complained to the front desk, salons are places for patrons to come and relax and be pampered, not have some obnoxious person who’s unhappy with life come and push people around and be rude to clients!

Five Stars for Maritza Elijah! Amazing colorist and PERFECT hair cuts. She has been in this industry for a long time and really knows her craft. She has done every age and every type of hair! I will not let anyone else touch my hair. She books quickly on certain days so I would suggest calling in for an appointment and asking what days and times she is available. Definitely worth it! :)

Just encountered a rude hair stylist there. Definitely wouldn’t go there again. Find a professional spot.

My mom has been visiting this salon for a while and one of their stylist (Arev) was a decent stylist. Yet, here is the catch — this stylist can do haircut ONLY on dry and flat ironed hair! If it wet and or not straightened up — she CANNOT do a haircut, she will mess you hair up. Seems not to be a big deal, she’d straiten your hair and do a decent job on haircut. On my mom’s last visit, she announced that she will have to charge extra 10 $ for straightening. Not only the salon itself raised their prices for the past 1 year over 70% but also this stylist specifically is charging extra 10. Long story short, my mom wanted JUST a haircut which she did withought straitening her hair w flat iron and she MESSED it UP. We’ll never be back to that salon.
Bottom line if you want Arev to do a decent haircut it’s $ 42(including straitening) if you want her to do a horrible haircut $ 32!

This place is very disrespectful, BAD customer service, was on hold for about 15 mins. Was transfer to the home dept. when I asked for the men’s dept. associate are very rude and «ghetto». I only see Armenians, which don’t even speak that well english. I asked to speak to a manager and transfer me to a regular associate which they call“LOD”.

This review is for Seda. I have been going to her to get my nails done. She does great mani, pedis and gel nails. She takes her time. The only thing I don’t like are the prices. JC Penny is overpriced.
I used to get my hair done there but the hair stylist that I liked left.

MINA IS THE BEST NOBODY ELSE. SHE DESERVES 5STARS SHE ALWAYS LEAVES MY MOM BEAUTIFUL. NOT THE SALON AND HERES WHY.
Ok experience the stylist was an older lady who got frustrated with me because I was not sitting up the way she wanted. You could just ask. She left my highlights all uneven they were brown, light brown, then blonde all in one strand of hair, hmm why did I not have this problem at another salon. I’m actually beige blonde now. Why because I went to a PROFESSIONAL.

This review is solely for Mina. I don’t know how the rest of the staff is, but Mina is amazing! It was my first time there, and I had no appointment. My friend recommended Mina to me, so I asked if she was available. They told me that she would be with me in just a minute. Waited about 3 minutes and I was greeted by the woman who was going to have complete power in my next look !
I took a picture in and showed her the length I wanted and the style. I also told her about some short pieces I had because my niece thought it would be cute to chop my hair while sleeping! She shampooed and conditioned. She even helped me out in cutting my hair adequately so I can donate it. Provided me with a plastic baggy and everything.
She speaks Spanish & English. Absolutely loved the service and how great my haircut turned out. The length, the style, the shape. She makes sure to keep you involved in the process, asking you if you want any modifications & gives suggestions too.
Will absolutely be back!

Ask for Mina she is passionate about what she does and the results and treatment is superb. So if you want someone who is perfect… ask for mina you will be happy and be back.
Only problem I had was making an appointment. When I called the lady on the phone was sooo rude and unprofessional. You need people in the phone who will encourage customers to come in… not scare them away. I little pricey but all worth it.

I have been to many people before for my hair color, but no one was able to do exactly what I wanted until I met Anahid. She is amazing!!! I showed her a picture of what kind of ombré I wanted and it turned out to be exactly that. I did did not want the orange tone at all. I wanted a blonde tone and everywhere I had gone before… they somehow managed to turn my hair orange. Anahid is one of the best stylists I have ever met and I am glad that i found her. I have been a client of hers for about 3 years now and I am very happy with her work. Also, she does not rush. She takes her time which is a plus point.

Anahid is the best hair dresser at the JCP salon! Love her she always knows what she’s doing and my hair always feels amazing after my color treatment and blow dry :) I highly recommend trying her out you won’t be disappointed she’s wonderful I give her 5 stars ! :)))) ! Thank you Anahid !

I’ve gotten my hair done (usually highlights and haircuts) from various stylists (from various levels) here and they’ve all turned out well.
But I give a personal 5 stars to Roozan for highlights. I’ve tried cheaping out and/​or finding someone closer to me 3 times (so 3 different stylists) and going to different salons but when I want my hair on point – I always return to Roozan. And I’m at the point where I’m just gonna keep going back to her. I’m tired of experimenting and hoping to find a replacement for her. It’s better for me to just stick with her; even if getting to her is a far drive for me.
Why do I love Roozan? I’m not very articulate with what I want, remember: light brown to me may mean a different shade of light brown to someone else – I just know I want it to look good. So when I run an idea through her, she’ll give me her honest feedback. The one time I was stubborn and wanted my highlights a certain way (against her recommendation) I didn’t love the outcome. But I couldn’t blame her because she warned me it would be too light for my skin tone. Other times when I want to go crazy with my hair and change the color drastically, she’ll give me things to consider so I usually end up following her advice and not being too mean to my hair. So now… I just trust her. I give her an idea of what I want or which occasion I want to look good for and she goes from there.
My type of highlights: I usually prefer discrete highlights, but I like to go light – so she’s able to match the base color with bright highlights. This helps keep it professional (so a little more natural looking) because I work in an office setting but I party hard on the weekends so I also need it to look fun on the weekends. She places the highlights well.

Irene is amazing. AMAZING. The salon and all the JCPenney politics suck, though. They even make their stylists answer the phone. Tacky. But I have to reiterate, Irene is wonderful. I hope she goes to a different salon. I’ll totally follow her.

JCP is going downhill and having lots of issues. It has affected the salon in many ways. There are some great stylists there, but do your research before going there. I warned you!

This salon might be hard to find at first, but once you do, you won’t be sorry! My first experience there was amazing, and Maritza was super sweet and professional.
I cut my hair short and had it styled somewhere else, but it started to grow out really funky. I got an even BETTER style with her, and it’s growing so much nicer!
I agree with the previous post– her shampooing is sooo relaxing. She really took the time to ask me what I wanted and studied the pictures I brought for the style I was going for. She gave me advice, and we talked and laughed and had a great time.
5 stars for an amazing experience there at JCPenney’s Salon. Maritza gave me a remarkable experience! :)

I give 5 stars to My Stylist Krystal Sichler. She is the most full of life excellent stylest ever! You can’t go wrong with her. She gave me a cut unlike any other that really goes with my facial features. AS far as my color I go to her every month for root touch ups after I went for a full head colour change. She understood exactly the color I wanted & worked with me to get my as close as possible to that. She is a Hustler. She had 2 customers at the same time Walk in she got to both of us super fast she even took her lunch time to finish us up. NOW THATS A STYLIST. She is a Senior stylist.
I have gone to her for a scalp treatment it removes build up &stimulates your scalp to grow faster hair. Incase you didnt know what that was She brushes your hair in little sections from scalp to end, removing build up dirt & flakes. then she puts oil all over each little section of the scalp that she brushed. Then the massage starts all scalp massage. after sitting for 10 min for the oil to set in. Shampoo time
SHE IS THE BEST BEST I MEAN BEST SHAMPOOER. She actually takes the time to choose the best shampoo & conditioner for you. MASsages while shampooing rinsing well & condition as well. She dries my hair & im off to go See her every 3 weeks.
