L & L Hawaiian BBQ

Unilocal check in for 1 free fountain drink is not valid anymore. Foodwise very good. I like chicken katsu which has very large portion for one person. Othet menus are also very good and they give alot. Taste is good too.

Was going to the buffet but the wait time was 2 hrs and decided to eat here, Would have been great it it was all-​you-​can eat ha ha ha ha

Nice and clean location. Spacious interior. Seems newly remodeled. I’ve only been here once, so i don’t know if this is the norm. But I got a pretty weak portion of proteins in my BBQ Mix Plate compared to what I’ve received at other L&L locations. I also ordered garlic shrimp on the side and received deep fried shrimp instead. I’d personally just go to the Eagle Rock location since I’m located between the two locations.

I liked their chicken bbq while their Kalbi/​bbq beef are a bit on the salty side. Still I enjoyed the food and the service. Was quick and easy. Also got jasmine milk boba and was good as well. Mac and cheese was good enough but I can taste the msg. Would return for sure.

Please just close down.
If you really don’t give a $h1t on how your food is served and what it tastes like then why even stay open? I’ve eaten at different L&L restaurants and their food at least tastes good

Macaroni salad — bland
Shrimp — small, frozen, not seasoned
Garlic — what garlic? Someone forgot to put it

My wife and I are planning for a party this summer with a Hawaiian theme. We have tried 3 different Hawaiian restaurants and L&L was by far the best of the three. My daughter who is a picky eater loved the chicken. We tried 4 different types of meat and all were excellent. The servings were large as we ordered three dinners for two kids and two adults and there was enough for lunch. Mike who helped us and I believe was the owner was very friendly and helpful. He offered us the donuts (excellent!!!) and the pudding also very good to help us plan for our party. Needless to say we booked him for our party. I would strongly recommend his restaurant. Excellent food, clean restaurant, and friendly service what else can you ask for.

Wow. No aloha spirit here. Cashier «Marisha» was unfriendly. No smile, no «hello». I get better service and friendliness at McDonalds. Not coming back here if Marsha… err…Marisha is behind the counter. L&L go hire people with aloha spirit, not like this one.

Came in with my family after mass, the service was great and the food came out really quick despite how many of us there were. Everyone ordered different plates, so I was able to try almost everything on the menu. We will be back here again!

This place is great! The portions are tremendous and really fills up the stomach! I definitely will be coming back again. You can never go wrong with some good Hawaiian food! Thank you for the great customer service and everything! Truly a great spot.

Even though there were only about 2 families there we waited almost 30 minutes for our food and besides that we had orders missing because the lady said she didn’t hear us say even after we repeated ourselves more than three times. Maybe next time I recommend you repeat a customers order after to see if you missed any so you won’t have to deal with them complaining about not getting what ordered. I couldn’t get her name because they don’t have name tags but the lady working the cashier had an attitude. We ordered boba slushies and she told us there wasn’t any boba left at all but the family that ordered after us had boba in all their slushies.

I walked in today with a group of friends craving spam and some boba. We forgot there was a new location but I like this one a lot better. It’s bigger and 50 first dates playing! The vibes were pretty great coming in. She greeted us and set the vibes. The decorations added to the Hawaiian feeling. It wasn’t too busy so the cashier was in a good mood. She brought our food really quickly. Her name was Minnie? Something like that but she was great. The spam musubis were pretty bomb and tasted super good. The prices matched the portion sizes but boba was okay. Wish I got a different flavor

I love the food at this place. But when I tried to order boba & they had no boba was just strange to me. I did decide to just order a Thai tea slush alone and it was waaaay too sweet to drink. Wasted $ 4 because I couldn’t drink it at all. *rolls eyes*

I was on the way to the parking lot when I saw this, I decided to stop by since I had to get food anyways. I walked in without reading the reviews. The rude waitress that is on Unilocal was there, she took my order with a blank expression and when she gave me my food, she shook it as she walked toward me. /​: the vibe is off, the food was okay, I got the ribs plate, it was a bit to salty for my taste but still eatable. Overall, the portions were okay but not as big as I normally get it at the Maui Hawaii bbq place for a cheaper price and without the bad vibes. Here it was 11 bucks for a small plate. I didn’t like the place or the food, I will stick to Maui Hawaii bbq.

The food here is so filling.!! Definitely large portions. Nice and quite. The macaroni is delicious

omg I just became a regular customer. Rikki is so great and went beyond her way to inform us of their menu! David, the manager, also was super helpful! I’ll be coming here as often as I can!

I will say that this is still an L&L so don’t expect more or less, however they have a good number of items on their menu which seems to have expanded. They also have boba, draft beer, poke (did not order since I knew I’d be disappointed if I were to compare it to poke back in Hawaii), and haupia!
They get 5 stars for the atmosphere. The interior décor of the restaurant gives it a laid-​back island feel with the surfboards hanging on the ceilings and Jack Johnson/​Hawaiian music playing in the backgrounds. This makes for a nice, relaxing lunch break from the bustle of Americana nearby. The service wasn’t bad like others had mentioned and they were generous with their portions. As long as you know that the food is still L&L and don’t expect more, this will hit the spot.

Came here for lunch and wasn’t sure what to expect. Not a fancy place but the food was wonderfully good. staff were helpful and knowledgeable with my order.
For the food I had the babyback ribs with steamed rice, the meat was tender and flavorful, they practically nailed it! while for the drinks I decided to try their boba. this one is my favorite. it has the right amount of sweetness. portions were ample and prices are reasonable.

I’m a boba fiend and their boba was super good! Soft boba balls but the drink selection could be better. Can’t complain though, because it isn’t specifically a boba shop!

This place has the best boba in the world. They have a huge menu of different flavors for boba drinks and the boba is always so perfectly chewy. My favorite is the honeydew milk tea and almond milk tea. The best thing to do is call and make your order over the phone so it can be ready once you arrive cause they tend to get super busy sometimes

Not a bad place to go if you like Hawaiian BBQ. I’ve only been here once and it was pretty empty when I came but their food and prices are ok. I am not sure if I will return to this location because honestly I’ve had better Hawaiian BBQ at other places.

This was a great choice for the family meal! Love the service and atmosphere. We did a pick up for our meal and our order was right on time as we walked through the door.
I will definitely be ordering from here again.

The worst place ever!
I used to come here a lot in this place but This will be the last time I’m going here.
That girl Mersha or Marissa is just rude!!! right when she took our order she just gave us attitude! We asked questions but she’s not even answering any of it. She even roll her eyes on us. Like wth! We ordered boba drinks and foods with my friends and I will never take them here again.
She even mess up with our orders and she has guts to get mad? Girl just quit your job!
Well food is ok the boba is just sweet and extra taste because Mersha or Marissa lick her hands and then put her hands on our drinks.

I came in here last night with my sisters and friends. We just want to have a snack and hang out for bit after our work out.
We came like around 8:30pm.
There’s this girl name Mersha or Marissa at the register trying to take our order.
My sister asked a question about the picture right next to the menu, this girl Mersha or Marissa is soooo rude!!! She keep saying «what do you mean?» Like wth! Look at the picture that we are pointing at instead of you giving us attitude!
Well…We ordered 5boba drinks, spam masubi, poke and teryaki bowl.
After we ordered Mersha or Marissa is making our drinks and I saw her scratched her nose and licked her fingers while she’s making our drinks! Seriously though we paid for those drinks, it’s our money not yours so you dont have to mess up with our drinks nor our foods!
By the way did your finger taste good while you make drinks?
We were nice the entire time and you don’t have to act like that. If you don’t like your job then quit!
I wish I can just give NO STAR for this place. We are very upset about your service and to that girl. To the manager, your going to lose a lot of customers because of your employees

There is this girl name Marissa who is rude and not friendly that works there needs to be fired! You can’t hear her when she speaks. Rude service. Horrible service! I recommend people to go eat somewhere else when she is working.

A friend recommended L & L Hawaiian BBQ so I had to give it a try!
Yummy food, great location, and a good looking friendly cashier.

The food is always great but the service is horrible. The elderly man who works has given me the worst experiences since I started coming here years back. Why are you still there if you seemingly hate your job?
Today we came in during their store hours and they weren’t ready. He said, «Sometimes we open at 10 sometimes 11» without even looking at us to address our inquiry about whether or not they were ready.
Honestly fuck him.

I came here with my co-​workers for a team lunch. It was pretty empty when we arrived, but that can most likely be attributed to its location. Since it is off Brand, It is hidden, and I didn’t even know this place existed until recently.
I ordered the chicken katsu with macaroni salad ($ 11). You can substitute rice for macaroni salad, which I highly recommended because rice is basic. The chicken katsu was crispy, but the chicken-​to-​panko ratio wasn’t great. There was barely any meat. It was all crunch. The macaroni salad, however, was delicious.
I’ve been to several L&L locations before, and I would usually give it a 4-​star rating, but this location wasn’t outstanding. Also, at that price-​point, there are several better options nearby.

My first time here and I got take out and first thing that I have to say is the smell of the food was killing me on the way home (in a good way cause I was starving).
All I have to say about their baby back ribs is that it is BEYOND AMAZING! Greatest meal I’ve had (outside of homemade food) in a really long time. The food just satisfied my taste buds and my tummy. The baby back ribs come with steamed rice and macaroni salad but I just asked for all steamed rice.
I also tried something new and it’s called poke. I got the spicy tuna and that was reallllly good too! I thought it getting a large would be too much spicy tuna so I asked for a little rice at the bottom but next time I’ll just be getting the spicy tuna.
I’m DEFINITELY going to be coming back here!
Oh and customer service was great! Cashier was really nice and so was the cook!

3 ½ stars. Great upgrade compared to the previous L & L and other L & Ls. It’s clean, spacious and offers more variety. This location offers a ton of different drinks — milk teas, bobas, slushies, canned Hawaiian teas and sodas, beers, etc. The spam musubi was decent — a little bit too much rice and too much sauce. The loco moco was good and they gave me extra gravy… mmmm!!! Bacon fried rice was awesome! Mac salad was good. Unfortunately, the poke was not fresh so I had to throw it out. :(

Can’t go wrong with the tummy-​comforting Hawaiian BBQ with sufficiently large portions and very reasonable prices.
Conveniently located and with a large parking structure nearby.
Food was made to order and was prepared pretty quickly.

New location! Much bigger and with draft beer! Wait time for food is just as long, if not longer, than the old location and… service…is…well…the same.
I tried their original light poke, how could I not with their spiffy new chalkboard menu? S.K.I.P. The fish definitely was not fresh and there was a lot of tough sinew to chew through. The onion pieces were GIGANTIC and probably needed to be sliced thinner or at least in smaller chunks.

I guess there settling in looked like the manager or owner of the place was taking orders because he had no skills to accommodate a customer wasn’t happy didn’t smile and didn’t really seem too friendly anyways I havnt had the regular food here yet so I can’t give lower than 3 but I had the eaten burger… Ehh… Meat wasn’t that good it was a small burger and what too much ramen. Not a huge fan of this place but I’d give it another shot
Came again and wasted so much time getting the food it’s a joke… come the hell on.
