I had a great experience at Lakeshore Family Dentistry today. Not only did I receive a free electric toothbrush but I had an experience like no other before. I’ve had several bad experiences with dentists and Dr Abbey has renewed my faith. I was able to schedule an appointment quickly and easily around my work schedule. I was greeted with warm smiles from all staff members. The office manager and hygienist are incredibly knowledgable in their respective fields. My exam was overwhelmingly thorough, I’ve never been checked for oral cancer before. I have a few small cavities to take care of and was able to see them on the X-​rays and camera. I have a new found understanding of dental home care and how my diet affects my teeth. I am actually looking forward to caring for my teeth and my future appointments. My family and friends will be heading there too!

I had a scheduling conflict for my cleaning with my usual dentist so I was happy to get in fairly quickly with Dr. Lamanna. Plus, new patients get an electric toothbrush, which was great. She is very nice and the office is cutting edge. I was shocked at the end of my examination when she informed me I had three cavities needing fillings. I have a good history and never had a cavity in my adult life. It just didn’t sit well with me so I scheduled a second opinion with a different dentist. I’m glad I did because I had no cavities after all. It has been over a year since her false diagnosis so I’m positive they were not cavities. I gave her the benefit of the doubt since she is very nice and I don’t like to think of anyone as crooked, but after talking with a number of my friends who also saw her, they had similar experiences of a dramatic increase in cavities. I do not trust her nor do my friends.
