Pleasant environment. Tasty Persian home style cooking. Loved the eggplant, green beans with beef, and the chicken kabobs.

This place is just ok. the chicken was really good other than that nothing else on the buffet really grabbed my attention and they had no hummus!!! there’s just no excuse for that.

The first time I went here was absolutely amazing. The son and father were there… running the business themselves, and there was an unmistakeable magic about the way the food was prepared, and served – the courtesy and the quality and cleanliness was worth coming back for even the $ 12 price… However…I think they need to let go of the chefs in there. There are too many. And they SLACK when the management isn’t there. I hate to make this review and talk shmack but some of the food tasted like the lunch lady at a high school cafeteria made it when I visited last. The quality suffered dramatically when the father and son were not there. That is my honest opinion. Bring the«FATHERSONTEAMBACK» and watch the place fill up again.

What happened to the Musamba(sp?) ?! I’m updating my review because I’ve been here twice now and the selection has gotten much worse. The last two times i’ve gone they no longer had the pork skewers or the musamba. I actually walked out the last time — I won’t be coming back until they go back to serving the good stuff.

The 1 star rating should really not even be a star. It should be a sad face. My sandwich today was made with stale French bread, a mass of wilted cilantro and tough«filet mignon» and it cost $ 8 without a side. Talk about massive rip off.

An AYCE worthy of our time and effort! $ 11.95 + tax includes all-you-can-eat Mediterranean buffet, soft drinks, or Armenia Hot tea! It’s now served all-day, Friday-Sunday ONLY. At 530pm on a Sunday, it attracted a mixed clientele of natationalites and age, skewing slightly older. Not terribly busy that early for dinner. A Simple process: pay the cashier, grab a plate, and load it up all you want. Everyone wants kebabs. Well, they got that and more. Three meats, stews, fried potatoes, 2 kinds of basmati rice, hummus, tabbouleh, roasted eggplant, fried fish, several salads, soups, and desserts. Mmmm. The meats were all good, with my least favorite the beef kebab. Best of the whole buffet? The chicken kebab(white meat), the koobideh(ground beef and spices, no lamb), and perhaps the ultimate — mussambah, a stewed beef with tomato, onion, and eggplant. The meat is soooo tender! The hummus is also excellent. The décor is not a traditional one. It’s like a café-style, and you could swap out this fare for any other. I prefer some middle eastern music, but on this evening — they played Joe Cocker’s greatest hits(I like that and all, but I don’t get it for this place). For the price point, it’s really good. Quality, clean, and nice friendly service. Free Wifi, and 90 mins free parking at a lot right around the corner. If you choose, metered parking right in front, if your lucky… for about $ 1/hr.

The best place I’ve found for Mediterranean food at a cheap price! Well, at least for their weekday buffet, I heard they’ve lowered their prices again, which is good! It’s now 7.99AYCE. YESSSS! It gets pretty busy up in here, almost all the tables were full when I last went a couple days ago! Though, it’s so worth it for the moolah. I love that seasoned rice dish with beans. Chicken and beef luleh kabobs were yum. All in all, it’s a good place to go for a fairly quick & delicious lunch!

I wasn’t too impressed when I went to Levy’s Kitchen for their lunch buffet. I remember the first time I had Persian food. Oh my god, so. fricken. delicious. Never had I had something so juicy, fragrant, and filled with spices. However, that location is really far away from me… and so I gotta find somewhere closer that can fill my Persian food craving. I liked how it was buffet style so I could fill up, but I thought the meat was a bit dry. It was more bland and not as memorable as other places. It is cheaper by far, but I think I would prefer to pay a bit more for better quality food. I liked the live musician. I thought it was a nice touch!

This place is located in what is, perhaps, a cursed part of Brand Blvd. Two other restaurants — San Sai and Rolling Fish — have opened and closed shop shortly before Levy’s arrival. But, enough of that; let’s get down to brass tacks. This place serves Persian food, with a Jewish name, but owned by … Armenians?(I know what you’re thinking. «This is Glendale; what did you expect? Yeah, but, do you see what I’m saying here?) Here’s the deal. There’s a Lebanese restaurant a couple blocks north that serves phenomenal Middle Eastern/Arabic food. Levy’s offers some similar fare, although their heavy hitting options are Persian-derived, with some Armenian and Arabic outliers, when it comes to the appetizers and a few other entrees. They excel in areas that I wouldn’t expect them to; like their Chicken Salad, which — to add to the uncanny nature of everything previously stated — tastes like a Chinese Chicken Salad. (Let’s let that sink in for a while.) (Ready to continue? Here we go …) They actually make the Chinese Chicken Salad — and I should put that in quotes, because not supposed to really BE that — very well here. The salad is $ 7, but it can actually satisfy two light eaters.(I can devour the entire salad easily; it’s THAT good.) Now, my last trip here had me pursuing the filet mignon kabobs. I was extremely hungry, and I didn’t think molded ground beef in the form of koubideh would satiate my appetite. So, with that in mind, I decided to drop a few bucks more and up the quality quotient in the meat department. The filet kabobs were served with saffron rice, flat bread, and a roasted tomato. I really like roasted tomato with Middle Eastern food. I’ll usually eat a little bit of the meat on its own, but then make a sort of wrap with the flat bread, the particular meat I ordered, the rice, and pieces of the tomato I’ve portioned off with my fork. If you think about it, everything always tastes great in a wrap. It helps disguise the quality of the meat; but, then, who cares in this instance? It’s simply going to taste great, and no complaints will ensue. Here is a place deserving of 3.5 stars. I can’t ever say that I’m going to drive out of my way to come here, but because this place is located across the street from where I work, it’ll definitely be in the mix for lunching options in the future. — Will

A solid 4 stars. Limited, yet flavorful selection of fare that hits the spot. THEBUFFET: Three juicy meat selections, rices(very good!), assorted hearty dishes(eggplant, beef stew, vegetables), borscht, salad(good dressing selection), pickled vegetables, tabbouleh(delicious!!), assorted desserts, sides and more. THESERVICE: Great! The hostess greets you, you pay at the register, sit where you like and serve yourself! OVERALL: As I mentioned, the buffet isn’t huge, so you can get bored if you go often or just like a bigger selection. But, the flavors are robust and the food is satisfying! The value is great and the price includes a drink. I DEFRECOMMENDTO UnilocalERS! enjoy! xo– andrea

The lunch buffet is a great deal! It is AYCE with a bottomless fountain drink for $ 10, tax included. The food is okay, but since you can come back as much as you want, it is definitely filling. The desserts don’t look like much, but try them!!! They’re surprisingly delicious and moist. Lastly, if you want coffee or tea, they have it. You just have to ask, as it’s not easily as accessible as the rest of the buffet. Tip: Free 90 minute structure parking on Maryland. Otherwise, there are paid meters on Brand.

OK, people, here’s the breakdown: 1. $ 11.99 for a late lunch/early dinner buffet on Saturday. We got there around 4, and the place was packed by 5. This includes beverages. 2. Outstanding and fresh buffet! I tried to sample everything to give you guys a good review. Here’s what I had: 1. Barg/beef kabob — very tasty and good. I’ve had better but again, please look at the above prices. But still very good. 2. Chicken kabob — outstanding! Usually chicken breast is often dry, but not with these people. It was tender, juicy and very well seasoned. 3. Lentil stew — again, fresh and tasty. 4. Tabbouleh — great. 5. Vegetable soup — great. 6. Cinnamon cake — moist and fresh. 7. White rice/dill rice — delicious. There was a stew I didn’t try, but my mom did and she said it was great. All in all, people, great for a budgeted family!

5-stars for being a middle-eastern buffet with pretty good food. I believe they have a buffet that runs until 4 pm everyday, and a dinner buffet on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays only. I’ve been to this small but cozy and well-lit restaurant a couple times for their buffet. The best item I had was their grilled chicken breasts. It’s tender, well-seasoned quality chicken. They usually have 3 or 4 meat dishes and 1 tray of breaded, fried fish. I remember their grilled eggplant being pretty good as well. I like that they have fresh cilantro or herbs for you to season your plate with. It’s a nice touch. They had a tray of hummus one time I went. I love their hummus. it’s less lemony and creamier than the average tasting hummus. Personal preference, I guess. I had a lot of hummus last time I went, which is scary because it’s so calorie dense. As for desserts, I have only seen two or three varieties of cakes when I’ve gone. I liked their carrot cake a lot. Expect to pay about $ 11 – 12 with a drink included in this price. This place is great if you want to eat quality, healthy food. You have the option of stuffing your face without paying a fortune. Or you can have a lot of their vegetables and salad and a bit of chicken to feel good about eating well and in moderation.

Levy’s Kitchen is a newish place in Glendale(I think the Grand Opening banner has been on the window for about two months) about which, friends have said both good and bad things. Today, it was my turn to walk the buffet line. Yes, they have a menu board, but featuring the buffet from 11:00am — 8:30pm sends a pretty clear message. By my count there are three different prices for the buffet. Weekdays — $ 8.99 Nights — $ 10.99 Weekends — $ 7.99 According to the bus-boy, the items offered are the same. I paid my $ 10 bucks, grabbed a plate and cup(ugh! plastic) and proceeded to pick and choose from the various dishes. Unlike most buffets, salad & soups are at the end of the line; rice(2 types) was first, then the veggies and meats. The eggplant was a big miss but the roasted tomatoes were great! The Olivia salad was best & the Greek Salad(sans olives, tomatoes, cucumbers, feta cheese or even croutons — Greek Salad??) was fresh. I preferred the White Fish(lightly battered tempura style) and the Chicken Kabob chunks over the Barg & Koobideh Kabobs. When I asked for tartar sauce for the fish they looked at me like I was from Mars. A white sauce closer to a Caesar salad dressing than tartar sauce was offered — but not used. Turns out the fish was great on its own. They had a choice of cupcakes(store bought?) for dessert. The Chocolate looked good but it was the Spice cupcake that tasted best/freshest.

This place has a great all you can eat mediterranean buffet for $ 10.99. If you like kebabs, hummus, greek salad, pita, rice, and free fountain drinks, you will like this place. There are tables that can be put together for larger groups, smaller booths and an outside patio. 3TV’s in the dining room so you can keep up with the day’s sporting events. We left this place so stuffed and satisfied. Will be going back for sure.

I have only been here twice with the first being a week or so after they opened. Unfortunately, I am sad to report that the weekday buffet which was $ 6.99 including a drink has been raised to $ 8.99. I guess some things are too good to be true and the $ 6.99 price was introductory just to get people in the door. The food is still good with my favorite being the Chicken Kabob. The chicken is so soft in moist it practically falls apart in your mouth. It looks like for the additional two dollars they added a small table of deserts(cookies and such) for you to choose from. I am sure I’ll be back here at one point or another as I am becoming quite the fan of Persian food. It was an awesome deal at $ 6.99, but at $ 8.99 it doesn’t warrant a visit quite as often. I did hear that for a $ 1 or so more they’ll let you do a pretty large takeout which you can probably split with someone if you’re really trying to economically conscious.

It’s unheard of… a buffet for $ 6.99 including a drink(weekday lunch time)!!! It’s not a huge one but there are enough items to satisfy you for a quick lunch if you’re in the area. Extra cool that there’s free parking 90 minutes! — basmati rice(typical) — chicken kabob(nice and juicy) — beef luleh(nice and juicy too) — tabbouleh salad(fresh) — pita bread(didn’t taste fresh and new) We ordered hummus on the side but I wasn’t a big fan of it. It wasn’t smooth. It was grainy. For once, I actually wasted food. Yup, fail! Why take it to-go, if I wasn’t happy!!! Anyways, I wouldn’t mind coming back, because I want try the eggplant appetizer.

The chicken was full of fat and tasted old, no wonder they call it «juicy chicken kebab», the salad was old and soggy, the hummus was grainy and the beef kebab was just ok. The only reason this place gets 2 stars is because of the price for the buffet, $ 6.99 with a drink. But even then, I would rather eat elsewhere. Don’t believe the other reviews its either family members for the place or people who really dont know what good kebab tastes like.

Quality kebab at affordable prices! Love this place! Levy’s Kitchen is a great new addition to Glendale. The food is seriously good! They have all the usual kebabs as well as sandwiches and specialties like ghormeh sabzi. During the week they have a choice of an all you can eat buffet with select items and on the weekends they have an all out all you can eat buffet with pretty much everything. Usually when you think buffet you think mediocre food but not here, you’re going to be getting some damn good food! The hummus alone is worth coming here, sooooooo delicious! Their entrée dishes are very generous sizes and very tasty. I recommend Levy’s combo plate. This is going to be my new kebab spot for sure, both for dining in and for to-go orders. Stop by and try it out!
