The food here is excellent! However, the hostess is short tempered and rude, even to the other employees. My suggestion; Order your meal to go

We have visited twice in the last month m, once for takeout and once for dinning in. The take out was fast, simple and tasty. We ordered takeout at the restaurant and waited in the(nicely designed) bar area for our food to be cooked. We kept it simple and stuck to the basics for our first visit: combo fried rice, wontons, and egg rolls. My brother and I both enjoyed it as it was not too greasy or oily. The staff was attentive and courteous Our second visit was on a Sunday late afternoon and they have a lunch buffet served until 3 or 4. We originally wanted to just order off a lunch menu however on Sunday’s they only offer buffet or the dinner menu so we opted for the buffet. The food this time was underwhelming with the wontons being stiff and chewy, the chicken sitting there for quite a while and the salad bar a little lacking. I really enjoyed the egg drop soup but overall we were a little disappointed with the dining experience and quality of food. But hey. It’s a buffet what do you expect? To sum up: take out was great, the buffet was typical lacking in freshness and quality. We might order take out again someday

The food is a step above cheap Chinese take out. The restaurants set up is fairly nice. Its a bit on the expensive side for the quality of food they serve. I’ve been twice, Once for the buffet and the other I had a regular entrée. I’d recommend this spot for a quick Chinese food fix but nothing more.

Okay so the food has gone up to a solid 3 here. For some reason some things still taste unfamiliar — the cheese wontons have a flat cottage cheese taste. The sesame chicken is still great. The eggrolls are OK but taste greasy. Service is always great here so I will up my rating to a 3. Limited, tight parking in the attached lot.

We’ve been here a few times and I have to say I am confident is one of the best Chinese restaurants in Denver. I ordered the cashew chicken, and server was kind enough to let the cooks know to prepare it without sugar since my blood sugar isn’t the best. The food was amazing and I was able to get brown rice even though it’s not on their menu. The better half had thechicken double pan fried noodles(a popular dish in Hong Kong). The restaurant was clean and elegant as usual. It’s rare the food isn’t good, or the customer service is sub part, this is definitely one of my favorites in Denver!

This place has a huge menu! The delivery was timely and my order was correct. The food was just alright, I wish the edamame had some sort of sauce.

I’m a procrastinator, I openly admit it – but I’m stunned to see that I’ve apparently never, ever written a review for this place. Is that true? How can that be? I’ve probably been here close to 2 dozen times over the last 5 years. Do old Unilocal reviews ever expire? Hmmm…(rubs chin)…this is indeed a mystery. Anyways, probably 85% of my visits here have been the take-out/delivery variety and my order last night was no exception — after being *really* good logging my food down and exercising and whatnot over the last 6+ weeks(thanks Fitbit!), I had an «eff it» moment last night on a gray, cloudy, chilly day where I might have been perfectly setting the scene gazing out over my balcony, smoke from a cigarette lazily drifting upwards, listening to songs in the vein of «Mad World» by Gary Jules or «Gloomy Sunday» by almost any heart-rending female vocalist. Except I don’t smoke. My consuming vice of choice, regrettably, isn’t cigarettes, pot or booze. It’s food — and when I’m «sinning», carb-laden food. So I fell off the wagon last night and ordered my old go-to favorite: combo lo mein, and Chinese roast pork — which may or may not be considered«char siu», except it sits atop a leaf of Romaine lettuce in a puddle of delicious sauce — which I just found out is a combo of soy sauce and«honey lemon» something [I spoke to the manager, not just to find out if it was bottled(it’s not), but also to log it on Fitbit if I could find it.:p ] The Chinese roast pork was relatively tender, a few fatty pieces but not too bad. This generously-sized appetizer(I’ve scoped out their entire appetizer menu over my visits, and this one’s kind of a steal comparatively) has ranged from chewy and mostly fatty pieces(a ‘2’) to roast pork perfection(a ‘5’). Last night’s was about a 3.5. The combo lo mein has changed over the years — most notably in price… and I’m pretty sure they’ve changed up some ingredient they included too; seems like they omitted something and added something else? — but it’s *delicious*, and is almost 90% of the time. [This is my ‘go to’ dish I’m talking about, so I can drop a comparative judgment like that.] A generous helping of lo mein noodles with brown sauce, pork, chicken, shrimp(smaller shrimp than they used to use a few years ago), diced green onion, celery, thinly shredded carrot and maybe MSG, maybe not — await you. Even if you are ravenous, you still would not be able to kill off this 7 ½“x7 ½“x2″ deep container(filled to about 3″…) in 1 sitting by yourself. You could easily feed 4 people or make 2 – 4 meals off it. It’s delicious and sinfully-carb satisfying. I feel badly for the people who’ve had 1 – 2 star level experiences here over the last 6 months and I will resonate this much with them: the dining-in experience here leaves something to be desired with consistency, with timeliness, and so forth. My advice to all would be to just get their food for delivery to your place, because I’ve rarely been disappointed that way. [Their spring rolls, for what it’s worth, are«ok» but not outstanding.] This does not apply to any visit I’ve had in 2016, but their weekend buffets in the past usually seem above average, too.

So a couple weeks ago I was sitting in a parking lot checking Unilocal for someplace new to eat nearby. Up popped this place. In fact, I was already sitting in their parking lot at the time so I figured ‘wth?’. I was running late and in a bit of a hurry, so I decided to just go with the lunch buffet. In a nutshell, most of what I had was not bad but being a rather small buffet, there really wasn’t a lot for me to choose from. I rarely eat fried food, and when I do it’s not going to be from a buffet. There were quite a few fried options, and a couple of the stir frys had crispy deep fried meat, but not as many vegetable and regular stir fried meat dishes to choose from. Anyway, there was a beef and bell pepper dish that was pretty good as well as a chicken and vegetable stir fry dish. There was also a dish with a mixed assortment of vegetables that were just maybe sautéed with very little(if any) sauce that was good on top of the mai fun noodles(or are they sai fun?). So I certainly didn’t starve. Was it good enough that I’d come back? No. The main reason I’m giving them ‘2’ instead of ‘3’ starts is for the service. It was fine when I first got there and my drinks were refilled regularly. And my check came out about the time I was finished eating. The problem was when I tried to pay. I put cash on top of my bill on the table(you pay your server) about a minute after it arrived. After about six or seven minutes someone finally picked it up. Then I waited for my change. And waited. After a good ten minutes, I finally got up and went to the front. No one was there. So I waited. And waited until I could finally flag someone down. I asked about my change. There was confusion. Then my server appeared and solved ‘the problem’. From the time I put my money on the table til I walked out the door was at least twenty-five minutes! Not exactly the ‘quick’ lunch I was expecting. Maybe it was an off day for them or they were short of staff, but whatever. That’s half and hour I’ll never get back and the food wasn’t worth the wait.

I would have given 4(3.5) stars before tonight. I do not suggest ordering this for delivery. The crispy chicken was soggy as were the egg rolls. We have eaten in at Ming’s Dynasty a few times and enjoyed it. I will never get carry out from here again though. If I were to base my review on tonight’s dinner only, I would have given a 1 star rating. Have you ever thrown away your $ 40 take out?

Picked up after work tonight. Everything was bad. Soggy, way too oily and just gross flavor. $ 50 down the drain. Inedible. Not sure what happened I used to like this place as they’ve been around forever. One of my orders was Mongolian beef– came in huge fatty chunks and was deep fried! Yuck! Called to say I think I got the wrong order but nope– that’s just how they make it was all she offered. Wish I had known before picking up!

Was in Glendale/Denver for work this past weekend and stayed at the Hyatt Place across the street. I ordered from Ming’s and it was just ok. I asked for my Cashew chicken to be made spicy and it wasn’t. Not even a hint of spice. Also asked for chopsticks which were not provided. Food wasn’t the worst I’ve had but was nothing special. If this is good Chinese food in Denver then nobody has been to NYC and had the chinese food there.

Delivery was quick. That was appreciated. I ordered drunken noodles. Simple because that’s what I prefer. I was quite confused when I opened a box of noodles, shrimp and chicken. I called the restaurant thinking I had someone else’s order and was informed«that’s how we do our drunken noodles. We’ve been here a long time». Uh what? Some people have unfortunate allergies that could literally kill them. $ 20 on a meal to throw away… And all I got was a «sorry, I’ll tell my manager about that.» Won’t be ordering any more surprise meals from here.

I was in the mood for a little Chinese and ended up here. The waitress took my drink order, got the drink then left. I called her back and asked for a menu. Apparently, she thought I was going to do the buffet. Checking out the menu I saw a picture of some bok Choi but couldn’t find any item on the menu that had bok choi. When i asked the waitress which menu item came with bok choi, she said none of them but i could have a small plate of bok choi only for $ 7.95. No thanks

I found a cockroach in my food! Absolutely disgusting! I ordered some delivery last night for dinner and went to heat up some leftovers today for lunch. I opened up a new carton of rice, which had been sealed and in the fridge all night. As I’m breaking it apart to reheat it, I find a cockroach! I almost puked. I’m contacting the health department.

Came to pick up some food for dinner at Mings for my fiancée and i. It’s in a small shopping center with Mings standing on its own. Lots of parking. Upon walking in. the lights were pretty dim. Gives you that intimate type feeling. order to go from the cashier up front. Very helpful by the way. Answered all my questions about the food. cause sometimes you just never know. I ordered: Chow mein– house special. with beef/chicken/pork/shrimp… I love chow mein and this was oh-so good. One of the tastiest chow mein dishes I’ve had. And the order was huge. Mongolian beef– deep fried beef with a orange sauce. This was more like orange crispy beef. This turned out good as well. if your looking for beef and onions. this is not the same. See pic. Honey walnut shrimp– typical flavor. But they don’t short you on the shrimp. Generous portion and not small either. My fiancée loved it. Egg rolls were your regular non meat egg rolls. Just veggies inside. The food took about 20 minutes to get packaged up and ready to go. But it was worth it. I’m from San Diego where chinese restaurants are everywhere. This spot could easily be up there. Yum.

We ordered food for delivery to our hotel and it was delivered quickly and the food was fresh and hot. We didn’t know this but their chow mein is the crunch noodles with the stir fried dish served on top of those noodles. If you want the soft noodles, order the lo mein. Wonton soup was REALLY good.

I have always liked this place… although, I ‘ve never ordered delivery. After reading the reviews about how good they are with delivery, I decided to try it… I ordered: EXTRASPICY Mongolian Shrimp — actually spicy Crab Cheese wontons — filled well, not all fried dough like many restaurants in town(Thai Pot Café) Well done, Ming! Delivery came quickly, food was hot and tasted great! They did forget hot mustard, which I asked for, but will not ruin the entire meal.

Good food, but very disappointed to be charged an automatic gratuity of 21% at the end of the meal. We were a party of 7… as a former waiter, I understand why restaurants sometimes choose to add automatic gratuities for large groups, but 21% seems exorbitant. Also, the menu makes no mention of this 21% charge.

My husband and I were two of 7 people in the whole place. Therefore, one would think service should be pretty good since there are not a lot of people to take care. This service was terrible! We went there specifically because we sought out a place to go for a Chinese Buffet. We arrived only a few minutes before the buffet special ended but assumed we would be able to order it since there was an extreme abundance of food still spread across the entire buffet. As we retrieved our plates and headed for the buffet, a server walked up and said we were not allowed to get the buffet. He claimed it was closed. Interesting, because all the lights were still on and, as I mentioned, there was an ample amount of food left. After asking nicely and being told«no» a second time, we sadly walked back to our table. The gentleman who informed us of the buffet closing happened to be our server. Even after watching us sit back down he did not come to our table to begin serving us for at least another ten minutes. When he finally came, we ordered drinks and he immediately walked away without asking if we were ready to order food, which we were. Thinking back, we cannot believe we didn’t just walk out. The truth is, we were hungry and didn’t want to find another place to go at the moment. From that point on we had to ask for a someone to come to our table or chase someone down across the restaurant every time we needed something, including a napkin, a fork, another drink, more water, and even to finally get the bill. All in all we spent far too much time in a place that made us feel like we didn’t exists. The only positive thing I can say about Ming’s is the food was not bad. I actually liked my dish even though it was not the buffet option and it took about 40 minutes to get to me once we ordered. Reminder: The place was practically empty. No excuses for how invisible we felt.

Maybe the first restaurant I visited when I came to Denver a few years ago, Ming’s is one of my favorites. They have a beautiful(if slightly dark) dining room and the service is pretty quick. I recommend the Singapore chow fun if you like curry noodles. Great for big groups or family style dining. They also have a solid lunch buffet!

Stingy and rude. I ordered to go lunch special which doesn’t get the soup… the price stays the same. I asked for extra soy sauce. I got ONE packet and when I asked for more I was just told NO. The food isn’t good enough to be chasing the ones willing to order food away.

This is my go-to Chinese restaurant in the area. Ming’s offers consistent, solid Chinese food. Is it the best Chinese food I have ever had? No, but it satisfies my cravings and gets me by. What I love about Ming’s is that they are not afraid to deliver the heat. They throw in Chinese peppers when you ask for spicy. They amp it up! The meat is also pretty great quality. Standouts for me: scallion pancakes, cheese fried wontons, orange chicken, sesame beef, deep fried general chicken. Recently had the general chicken and it was the bomb. Great crisp, tender chicken, amazing sauce. Will be difficult not to get this on the reg. If looking for solid Chinese in the Glendale area, look no further than Ming’s Dynasty!

I’m going to have to be straight with you guys and let you know that I’m like, the most insanely boring Chinese food consumer on the entire planet. I literally only get chicken fried rice and egg rolls from Chinese spots I go. Sometimes I venture out to the sesame chicken and some cheese wantons, but obviously that’s pretty tame too. I tell you this for a couple of reasons; one, because it means I can’t tell you how good any other dishes are than those, and B, because it also means that I can accurately gauge a good Chinese restaurant from a mediocre or bad one, because my experimental control is always constant. Get what I mean? You can’t rely on someone telling you a Chinese place is bad because all they had was the«birds nest soup»(Google it) or sea slugs and they thought it was horrible. No, you have to use a base dish that every Chinese spot has and extrapolate from that in your fractal estimation as to what you estimate all the other dishes rank in deliciousness. Follow me? I hope so. If you aren’t, what I’m saying is I can tell you whether a Chinese restaurant is good or isn’t, and Ming’s most certainly IS. I’m pretty fortunate to have Ming’s so close to where I live. And even though my proximity is short, I have gotten delivery service from them and it was super speedy and the delivery driver was extra courteous, perhaps because he didn’t have to drive more than a minute, but hey, either way, it counts. And it’s good to know I have such a tasty delivery spot for when it begins to snow hard in Denver and I don’t feel like leaving the house to hunter/gather my meal in my snowshoes. I’ve also dined inside for dinner, not just ordered to-go or delivery, and the interior décor is very nice, low key, and classy. The service was great each time and the employees were all very courteous, but then again, that’s kind of their culture(or they’re just really good at pretending their entire lives that they like us western folk), so take that for what it’s worth. Oh, and they give you this little Chinese chip and dip thingies(which I’m sure I sound like a real genius calling them that, but whatever) upon seating you. Now, I haven’t been to too many Chinese restaurants that offer amuse bouche, so that’s was refreshing. And you’re welcome for that bit of word power that I just gave to you right there, too. Use it. Feel empowered. In conclusion, I haven’t eaten at any other Chinese places here in Denver other than ones in the mall food courts(which I can’t seem to help myself from eating when I’m in the mall, and yes, I get the chicken fried rice from them too), so I can’t compare it with any other specific spot in the city, but I have eaten plenty of other chicken fried rice at plenty of other Chinese spots elsewhere, so I feel that you can take my Chinese food restaurant reviews as solid. Ming’s is about as solid as a redwood, and I’m sure that anything you get will be as delicious as I feel their chicken fried rice is. And I don’t believe they offer if, but even so, I still wouldn’t necessarily get the birds nest soup, mainly because that just seems icky; did you Google it? Weirdo Chinese people. Kidding. Love you guys. Thanks for putting chicken, and fried, and rice in the same dish.
