I love this place. Not somewhere to go if you want ambiance but their chicken is the best I’ve ever had. Their Greek salad is a must try!

I wish I would have found Mr. K’s sooner! This is an excellent pizza. They use high quality ingredients on a pizza that is competitively priced against the pickup/delivery chain places that serve low-quality pizzas. The garlic cheese bread is great also. The daughter/owner mentioned that they have been getting their bread from a local LA bakery for decades. It is really good as well! This is a family-run, small restaurant with very friendly, hardworking staff. If you are looking for a solid pizza in a slightly different style(Boston– a bit thicker with a heavier crust), this is the spot to visit!

Honestly i dont know how this place has great reviews!? lol The pizza is bland there isnt much flavor to it, ontop of that i got a small cheese and pineapple pizza which says(1 – 2) people can share but it is the size of an idividual pizza Not to mention that small pizza was 10! for that price i could of went to a better pizza place like pizzahut and got a biggerand tastier one, but i decided to try this place out it was definitly not worth it! Lastly i asked the lady who worked thier for a bag to carry the pizza and condements and she laughed at me and said«You dont need a bag for pizza».Ughh excuse me who the hell asked for opinion give me the danm bag that im already paying for!

ordered a pizza over the phone 30 minutes ago. I come to pay for it and to pick it up. he started making the pizza that second. we saw him in a rush to put the mushrooms, and toppings onto the pizza. it shouldn’t take this long and if we knew it was gonna take an hour and a half we wouldn’t have orders it in the first place.

Very cozy mom’n pop spot that’s been in service for over 35 year… their sandwiches are to die for. The greek salad is mouth watering. My personal favorite is Roast beef and the tuna sandwich… A definite must try in Glendale/Burbank area… Thank you Mr. K!

I like this pizza quite a bit! The dough is not too thick, not too thin, and a little bit crunchy with a real home-made taste to it(which I mean as a compliment, the dough is excellent in my eyes). The sauce and cheese are flavorful and well-balanced, and the saucer-sized pepperoni is good as well. Their pizza just has a good flavor and is not overly salty, so I don’t feel bloated a couple hours after eating. My only issue is that its a bit more expensive than other places around here, with a large one topping being around 13.50 with tax, but I guess you get what you pay for. I definitely like the pizza here(much better than, say, Slash Pizza, which is a couple blocks away) and plan to come back sometime soon. Pretty good spot! Friendly and quick service as well!

Consistently great pizza, sandwiches and salads. Mr. K.‘s is our hometown favorite pizza and sandwich restaurant since 1992.

Best pizza place I’ve been to. Always tastes fresh. Has been here since my dad moved to Glendale. Will continue to come here always. Hole in the wall place but one of the best I’ve been to. I get the cheese pizza every time I come in. Recommend this place for anyone who loves pizza beats Pizza Hut and dominos hands down

This place was exactly what I was looking for. I’m from New England and had been wanting to find a simple Pizza place with pasta and grinders and this was just what I had in mind. I got spaghetti with meatballs and it was just what I was craving.

Mr. K’s is a short walk from our house, yet it has taken me way too long to come over and get some pizza. I finally did one evening when we had one of those chore/errand filled days and the wife didn’t feel like cooking so I picked up a pizza on the way home from some errands. From the outside, you wouldn’t think there’s a whole restaurant inside but that it’s just a pickup counter, however Mr. K’s has a fairly decent sized dining area which I appreciated even though I didn’t use this time around. Set up in that traditional pizzeria feel. My pizza was ready to go when I got to the counter. It was a bit pricier from what I’ve grown to expect from the big chain places that now practically pay you to eat their pizza. It smelled terrific and I was excited to go home and try it. Due to the lack of parking in this very small complex, I suggest finding street parking. The lot(at certain times of the day) isn’t fun to get in and out of as it is as traffic on Sonora and Glenoaks can be trying. I came home and tore open the box and started digging in. The pizza overall was delicious and the crust has a really unique texture and flavor. Not the best pizza I had, but excited I have a pizza place like this so close to my home. I haven’t been to Boston so I don’t know if this is truly comparable, but if this is what Boston’s pizza is like, I’ll make sure to eat some when I do go out that way!

oooooo very nice! I’ve never had Boston style pizza before, but this one was awesome! Not as thick as Chicago style, not as thin as NY. Just right! ;) it’s so delicious I just wish their Large was even LARGER ;) yeah I’m fat :)

This is a small family-owned business located in a strip mall. Don’t be fooled by the aesthetics of the exterior of the mall, there is an extremely friendly staff and amazing food waiting within. My fiancé used to walk here after high school for their pastrami sandwich. We stopped by a few days ago and he was delighted to find that the sandwich was just as good as he remembers. I had their vegetarian sandwich which was tasty as well. We will definitely have to stop by again to try their pizzas.

I hadn’t had this place since high school(aaahhhh that was over 10 years ago). I wanted to see if the pastrami was as good as I remembered or if I just liked it because it was walking distance. And lemme tell ya… It’s better than I remember. Soft bread; crunchy on the outside, just the right amount of meat, and a nice tang from the mustard and pickles… The cheese is gooey when you take a bite too. I loved it. Will be coming back.

I love pizza but it’s so hard to find good pizza these days. Mr. K’s pizzas has the perfect balance between a hand tossed and pan crust. They have good sauce and cheese and they don’t skim on the toppings. I had to place an order while driving and even though it was difficult to hear, they poitely confirmed and repeated back my order. I like getting their salads too but I wish they used pitted olives. I always pick up my pizzas to make sure I can eat them when it’s still piping hot. But their pizzas are also good cold.

They have the best pizza here. The crust is pretty much perfect. Its thin but not too thin and has just the right amount of crunch. Everything is good but definitely get pizza. They don’t have a ton of seating and cops love this spot. So sometimes you have to eat sitting relatively close to a cop. I just feel that for some people(cough stoners cough) this might be an issues. The place is pretty much run by Mr. K himself with the rest of his family. Everyone is super nice and the service is OK.

So don’t get me wrong, this place had good food. I usually get the calzones and house salad. Today, I decided to try out their pastrami again because I’ve had it in the past and it was great. This time, they problem was that the sandwich was mostly bread and a hint of meat. Literally there is a diameter around the meat of about an inch or an inch and a half of just Bread. I definitely feel as though I got short changed. Especially when he gave me an excuse of «that’s the Problem we are having with this bread. it’s too much. We should’ve cut it down. » …

I’ve lived in Glendale and passed by this place all my life and I finally decided to try this place out. We ordered a veggie pizza and trust me it was veggie. It was like eating an onion and olive pizza– did you guys run out of toppings? By the time the pizza was made it was about 9:30 so we were trying to be patient and understanding that the store closes at 10. Unfortunately they were in such a rush to close at 10 that the pizza came out in twenty minutes hot but very undercooked/underbaked I’ve never been so disappointed for a place I knew had potential. I’m sure me being a returning customer would be more worth you paying your employee an extra hour Hopefully I’ll find myself back

Mr K’s Pizza is a cute little pizza spot in the corner of a small mini mall. The ambiance is old-school and not at all pretentious. There is a small sitting area with about seven tables that sit either two or four people. It’s not just a take away place. People come here to grab a quick lunch as well. The service is warm and friendly. You order at the counter and they bring your food to you. We ordered large pizza with pepperoni on one side and cheese on the other. The crust is super crunchy. No pizza wedge droop here! It holds up. Each bite is nice and crunchy and substantial. I thought the plain cheese was a bit bland, but the pepperoni side was more flavorful. It was also greasy, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. House salad is composed of very fresh iceburg lettuce with bits of cabbage, onion, bell pepper, olives and feta cheese in a vinegary dressing. It’s pretty good if you like that sort of thing. We also ordered garlic bread which I found unexciting, but the kids ate it all up. Great place to take the family if you’re in the area and you want a quick, inexpensive, bite.

After reading great reviews about this place, I was excited to try the pastrami but sadly, it was disappointing. There was more bread than anything and we got totally skimped on the meat! I ended up gathering the meat and decided to put it all together on one half just so I wouldn’t have a stomach full of bread! I gave it a 3 start for the calzone and friendly customer service, but doubt I’ll be coming back for more.
