My barber today was «Rocky» & honestly I’m very satisfied with my whole visit! Von which is one of the barbers, greeted me and I felt welcomed to the awesome atmosphere inside their! Rocky did an excellent job on my haircut! Most definitely coming back for my next cut! I recommend Rudy’s Barber shop to all!!!

What can I say, Vaughn is an excellent barber. Been going to him for years and do not plan on switching barbers. He is always on time with his appointments, professional and a pristine barber. He can pretty much do any cut you ask of him. Have been leaving his barber shop for years with terrific haircuts. My dad and I love coming here. Highly recommend.

Legit. I’ve lived in Glendale for 10 years and finally got a cut there. Damn. Should have went a long time ago. Probably the best barbershop I’ve ever been to. The guys know what they’re doing, good vibe, good conversation, and clean fades.

I’ve been going here for over 30 years! I remember the original owner Rudy — great guy, great environment, great prices and great haircuts — and the place hasn’t changed a bit. Vaughn (Rudy’s son) took over the business many years ago and has fought to keep it the same high quality, friendly and fun place it’s always been.
The one thing that has changed is that they continue to update their style focus. I see people (women too!) from their teens to their 80’s going here — because they deliver exactly what you want and they do it very, very well.
I’ve never had a problem getting an appointment. I’ve never been unhappy with a single haircut (in all those years!) and I’ve never been happy going anywhere else — especially those corporate, assembly-​line places.
Hands down. Best barber shop in Southern California.

I just moved to Atwater Village and needed a good cut after about 5 months of letting my hair go. I called around 11 and got an appointment that day for 2:30. It was a laid back experience and I got an excellent cut for $ 20. I’ll be back!

These guys are always on time, and get you out in a decent time. Have been going for about 6 months now and love the cut each time! Great welcoming staff of guys and a clean shop.

I love this place! Been going here since moving to CA 2.5 years ago. I now reside in Orange County, however, I still make the drive to Rudy’s in Glendale for my haircut. This place is a true barber shop, with great ownership and great barbers. There is a reason Rudys has been around since the 1950s.

I’ve been getting my cut from Eli for the past 2 years. Moved from Burbank to Newport Beach a 1 ½ year ago but still haven’t found/​trusted anyone who can clean/​fade/​taper like Eli! It’s a 50 mile drive one-​way but it’s worth it.
The shop is relaxed, good vibes and environment all around. Chris, Rocky and of course (Vaughn) are good too but I’ve been loyal to Eli.
Whether you’re new in town or your regular barber retired, call Rudy’s and make an appointment.

No appointments, no haircuts. Save your money for more competent barbers. I am highly disappointed in my experience here.

I was spoiled at my old barber in San Diego and because of that started coming to Rudy’s with somewhat of a bias. I had this idea that no where could be given 5 stars because of that. 2 years later and I’ve come to the conclusion that I’m always going to love my haircut here. I find myself not scheduling an appointment at my old barber in SD when I do go down to visit. I’m perfectly happy with the work Vaughn does and have had equally good experiences with Anselmo or Eli when he’s been booked. The only time I’ll go anywhere else is when I’m in a last minute bind and can’t get an appointment.

I heard about this place from a friend in my apartment complex, he insisted I go here to get a clean cut. So I took his word and went by right after work. Boy was it a good decision I made!
My barber cleaned me up real good! Tipped him $ 5, he deserved it.
I will be stopping by soon that’s for certain!

Are you guys open on monday 12−01−14 its 9:50 and no one is still here but you guys are advertising you’re open

I used to get my hair cut near work but one time, timing was an inconvenience. I Unilocaled a few places that would open early so I can get my hair cut and found Rudys that opened very early. Taking the chance of time over a good haircut, I went in and got a much better cut than I normally do. Not only is the cut much better, but also cost less than my regular spot. Now I schedule my haircut around their time (because it’s worth it).
The staff is friendly and it’s a cool place to get a haircut. I’ve had Rudy and Rocky both cut my hair which both have done exactly what I needed. It also seems like all their clients are very happy with the vibe and friendliness of the place.
Everytime I go in there, it’s packed so I suggest an appointment. Try it once and I’m sure you’ll tell you’ll tell your friends to come here and try it, it truly is well worth it.

Customer service was great. Came for a cut throat shave but was disappoint by the quality of the shave. Blade was blunt and cut was rough. The whole reason you got for this type of shave is to have a face smoother than a baby’s butt. also was charged 30 $ for the shave which is the most expensive shave I have ever had in the 15 years of doing cut throats weekly. Probably because I told him I was from out of town.

Great Barber shop. I’ve been coming here for about four years, and not once had a problem with anything. They have super friendly staff, and nothing but positive vibes. Check it out!

Came in to Rudys after trying out multiple barber shops. barbers are all friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere is great here. I left extremely satisfied with my haircut, had a great conversation with Rocky and he gave me an exceptional gentlemans haircut. I definitely will be coming back.

Went here for the first time a few weeks ago and got one of the best cuts I ever got from Eli. It was clean and precise, and the whole place had a good vibe. It’s the kind of local place that has its own food drive, the kind of place you go to and hope it’s good because you want support local businesses, and thankfully Rudy’s will be my spot for a long time.

By far the best barbershop I’ve been to in Glendale. The quality of their cuts are superb. Rick was the one who cut my hair. I highly recommend him. He made sure my hair cut was the way I wanted it and gave me a sick clean fade, and its hard to find a barber that can do a fade in Glendale. Another plus of going to this place is that its next to Portos so after you get your haircut, you can get some yummy potato balls or cheese rolls afterwards.

awesome little barber shop that’s just around the corner from Porto’s. i decided to give the place a try since i had been growing out my hair and it was looking pretty unkempt.
upon walking in, there were about four barbers and you immediately notice the old school feel of the place with boxing gloves, vintage photos, and even a shaving cream warmer and display cases with old school hair products.
luckily, i was able to grab a seat with Von since his previous appointment was running late. they do take walk-​ins, but u might end up waiting a bit so i’d highly suggest an appointment.
Von gave me a great medium fade (you can choose what kind of fade you want whether it’s low/​med/​high fade) with a clipper on the lower portion and he used scissors for the top fade, which is something i’m not used to but it gave my haircut a more natural look rather than having all of the fade buzzed off with clippers. after the fade was complete, Von used warm shaving cream and a straight razor to trim up the sides and back. he also used a big shaving brush thing to dust off any loose cut hair to clean up the haircut.
the barbers seemed very laid back and joked around with each other as they cut their customer’s hair. they even have a little fridge stocked with drinks/​beers and food, which are donated by customers it seems and are available to patrons for free.
i also felt like there were a lot of regulars that walked into the shop and i could see why… great cuts with an old school touch. a typical haircut will cost you $ 20 cash (no credit cards), but it’s definitely worth it compared to cheaper cuts that lack attention to detail.
highly would recommend this spot if you’re in need of a great cut and don’t know where to go to. this will definitely be one of my new regular spots for cuts.

Von cut my hair for my wedding. Wouldn’t have gone anywhere else. He got me looking super dapper for my big day. Good dude. Great barber. Good advice. My favorite barber shop.

They were booked up the day I went.
They said they could t get me am appointment till the next day.
Facility was clean, barber was friendly.

I went there because of all the great Unilocal reviews, but I was a bit disappointed. The guy who cut my hair didn’t do a bad job, but he really seemed like he didn’t want to be there. It was like he was perturbed that I wasn’t telling him EXACTLY what to do with my hair, that I asked his opinion on a portion of it.
Also, I didn’t appreciate having to listen to the barber on the other side of the shop loudly recounting his recent seedy vacation.
Also, not a big fan of the CASH ONLY policy.
But like I said. The cut wasn’t that bad. Definitely not as good as some, but I’ve had way worse.
I don’t see prices posted anywhere. I was charged $ 18 +tip.
