Very nice bakery. Friendly cashier. My uncle had the gelato and Luved it. Averaged priced for beautiful pastries.

I’ve only gotten the fried dough stuffed with ricotta by the counter. Super delicious. It’s basically a cannoli in the form of a soft empanada. Wasn’t adventurous enough to try other things yet though.

How can this place get anything less than 5 stars? Ok, if you ask for cinnamon on your latte, it clumps at the bottom, but everything else made it so worth it to try again. It’s so quaint and unique. Treats from Italy and best espressos in town. You should definitely try it!

I would have liked to try this place but I do not like the reviews that mentioned the service can be rude. It spoils the experience and I really think the way people treat the customer is a reflection of the business in general. Customer service is very important to me so I do not think I will try it.

I stop in here a couple times a month — usually to gab a half dozen canoli or a cheesecake to take home. I had some relatives from KS in town recently and took them in to the store, we spent an inordinate amount of time looking, there’s a great selection. To be honest, I didn’t care for a lot of the things that were picked(the black and whites were terrible — tasted like they had black pepper in them), so my rating is based on my old standbys, the cheesecake and canoli. Cash only.

The Irish Soda bread and the Red Velvet cupcakes are the best I have ever tasted anywhere!

They gave me rotten chocolate covered strawberries. I enjoyed biting into it as much as Demi Moore enjoys covering up her grays.

My favorite thing here is the soda bread. They make it with raisins and I love a toasted slice with butter for breakfast. The rainbow cookies are also pretty good and the black and white cookie got a good review from my girl. The staff are mostly high school girls who are very nice and polite.

Love this place. Staff is pleasant and prompt. Randomly tried the oreo cheesecake for an event, have been driving back to this place just to pick one up ever since. Parking is tough so go with someone who can wait double-parked in the car.

In my opinion this is the best Italian bakery in ny. I’ve tried at least 50 of them and I keep coming to this one. No comparison to Catania bakery on fresh pond

You must have there cheesecake with strawberry covered in White Chocolate. But before you walk out make sure they gave you the right one, Twice I have ordered it and they gave me a plain chocolate covered cheesecake and I had to go back and get the right one which they don’t give you a problem with but still it would be nice to get the right kind to begin with, and its true if the girls were a bit friendlier it would be nice, there was a girl who used to work there before who was super nice, but these new ones need to brighten up a little bit. But beside that You must try that cheesecake.

Love love love this place!!! I never met a pastry from here I did not like and their olive bread is incredible! The only thing I would change is the sometimes un-friendly attitudes of some of the girls who work the counter and that they do not take credit cards… other than that, this is the best bakery in my neighborhood!

Disagree with both of them. Canollis are good, except some may not always be full. Tiramisu is excellent. Oh… the olive bread is to die for… semolina bread from here is on every italians table on sundays. At least my table…

This is a decent bakery, especially for Irish soda bread. The bread is not always(or even usually) fresh. I always check my stuff before I leave to make sure it isn’t hard as a rock. No baking done on the premises(this is done at the other Russo’s — ). It works in a pinch but I much more highly recommend Grimaldi’s– .

This place was NOT worth it. I went first thing in the morning… the time a bakery should be at its best. I got a couple of things, just to sample. Everything tasted like it was made a couple of days ago– dry, overly crisp, and just overall not fresh. The cannolis were awful. I’d rather go to Catania Bakery on Fresh Pond for bakery and pastry items.
