Sardarabd bookstore was the only bookstore in Glendale that had revolutionary literature around the Genocide era. Also, they have this really neat translated book called«Awakening.» Service was cool too

We came here from Sherman Oaks just to buy a book for my Armenian grandfather who loves to read. Firstly I’d like to compliment the staff for being extremely helpful and patient with me as I am very picky. Second I’d like to say that I will definitely return especially for when I have kids due to the fact that they have so many Armenian children’s books, toys, and merchandise. I had a wonderful experience here and he loved the book. I recommend this store to everyone.

If your into reading Armenian books then this is one of two places in Glendale I would check out. Books are a bit pricey but since when were books cheap. Let’s be real it’s not everyday you get the chance to support a family owned business… I highly recommend visiting this store for all my hayrenasers out there :)

I’m Filipino. I don’t read Armenian, and this bookstore is nearly 85% Armenian which I think is bad a$$. We headed in here after we went to Sarkis(for the second time) Pastry and looked through their selection of Armenian books and music. While I do not understand the language, I can appreciate what a great resource this can be for an ethnic community to have. So 5 stars for providing the Armenian community in Glendale(and through their website) literature, music, and handicrafts to celebrate and learn more about their culture.
