Lee is AWESOME! My mani/pedis always turn out perfect when she does them! Also, great service and relaxing atmosphere at Shiny Nails! I would recommend going here over any other nail shop I’ve gone to!

If I could give no stars I would. Worst pedicure I’ve ever had. Sad because I used to enjoy going to this nail salon. My manicure and pedicure combined lasted 45 minutes. I timed on my phone and got a minute and a half massage on each leg. One minute on my arms. Not only was it rushed but I could rub lotion in better myself. There was no pressure just barely rubbing lotion in. My nails weren’t even painted on the sides. It looked like my 5 year old niece painted them. Horrible horrible horrible.

Today we visited Shiny Nails for the 1st time & we will be back! We have been looking for a nail salon since we moved from NY. My daughter had been here once before with a friend & gave it her ok. We were greeted when we first walked in with a hello & a smile and given a cold bottle of water which was very thoughtful. My technician was very friendly & nice & did a wonderful job. And pricing was just right as some places charge ridiculous prices. So happy we finally found a good nail salon!

I went there for the 1st time with some friends. Worst pedi ever. The ladies were a little rude. Massage if u can call it that was basically rubbing lotion on my legs. The design on my toes was an additional $ 12 and the lines weren’t even straight. I will NEVER go back there.

I have been to this place on both good days and bad days. The good days are what keeps me going though. The staff is very friendly. Reviews that say that they dont want a typical salon need to realize that any salon in a shopping center will be pretty basic unless its paired with a hair salon and massage spa. The prices are very decent and the fact that they play FRIENDS on loop makes my heart happy. I have been coming to this salon for almost three years now. Its the only salon in Phoenix(that isnt inside a Nordstrom) that I trust with my eyebrows. Very talented staff. They only downfall is that it is a busy salon so they seem to rush when it gets too busy. There are always enough staff members even on a weekday. I hate going to a salon and there are 8 pedi chairs and 6 mani tables but only 2 people working. It looks bad for business, luckily Shiny Nail is not that type of establishment. I still go to this salon even all the way from Tempe.

This place probably has some of the best customer service I have seen at a nail place in a while BUT their work on both my gel mani and pedi were very sloppy. The work was rushed and not given due attention especially given the fact that I am a perpetual nail bitter(often, my hands are a wreck). The work was not neat nor was it given detail because there was polish on the sides of my fingers. Although the lady doing my nails was finished with me(ie my hands were under light to dry), she proceeded to be on her cell phone sitting across from me. Seems rather unprofessional, no? Shiny Nails? No thanks.

The massage was terrible. She literally just rubbed my legs and hands more gently then I put lotion on my own body. I asked for buffing on my nails and got home and realized that only half of my nail is shiny, the whole nail wasn’t buffed. On top of that the cuticle wasn’t pushed back and they could have been cleaned up more. It’s my least favorite manicure I’ve ever received. I gave 2 stars because she did fantastic on my toenail design and they got me in quick. I won’t be going back though. I would not recommend anyone to here if they like the massage potion of the experience.

From the outside your first thought is «not another typical nail salon». Well it is your typical salon. They won’t wow you with their décor or superb customer service BUT I really really like ruby who gave me a gel mani. She was soft spoken but pleasant and make some conversation with me but not too much to where I had to guess at everything she was saying. She also was very gentle on my hands and that says a lot because I always get cut when I try a new nail salon. My gel mani was $ 30 and turned out pretty great! The hand massage she gave was one of the worst, but I’ve never really found someone who gives a decent one. This place probably won’t WOW you, but if you’re in the neighborhood and need your nails done, give it a try :)

Customer service is really important to me. I mean they were really nice and they did a good job… But I went there with my friend who was visiting me from out of state and they kicked me out of the chair and didn’t let me sit there with her. There was no line at all. I got the feeling they were a little upset because we got just the basic pedi. They kept pushing us to get a flowers or callus remover. I under stand they have an min amount they want to meet with every customer but it’s not very nice to be so pushy and then just give me the boot!

I came to Shiny Nails because my normal shop was closed. I’ve been searching for a new shop and Shiny Nails exceeded my expectations. They were open early, weren’t busy and were all smiling and friendly when I arrived. I’m a sucker for good customer service and they had it. They didn’t try to aggressively upsell me and she did a great job on my pedicure. I showed her a difficult design I liked and she«nailed it»! I highly recommend it!

This place is so close to me, that I can walk here. The ladies who work here are all very nice. With the exception of Lee. I don’t see how they can walk around and work in their tiny high heels, but they manage. You walk in, sign your name on a list, mark if you want a pedicure, manicure, fill etc. Pick out your color and then either wait if there are people ahead of you, or go straightback. I was getting a pedicure. The massage chairs they use are so close together, but it wasnt a problem. The chairs work nicely and I was very relaxed. They have a t. v there that plays nothing but«Friends» reruns. Sometimes I can’t help letting out a giggle or two when Phoebe sings her crazy songs. A pedicure runs 18.00. If you want a callous remover, or sea salt scrub it is 5 dollars more. I have done both and came home with baby soft fooooties. Once I broke my right toenail and they managed to add a tip on that toe only that looked so natural. I think that was only 5 bucks. I usually don’t do the decorations. I seem to get the techs that are new at designs. Last time I heard«yooo wan flowah?» I said a tiny one. and ended up with a big bouquet on my big toe. So not pretty. She was even more upset when I diddnt like it. yeah we are talking about Lee ladies. Mai and the rest of the girls are great. I still continue to go here and have been going now for a few years. I have also had a manicure here. When my daughter was 6 she used to go in and get her nails painted with a flower for 7 dollars. Its a great thing moms and daughters can do together. EDIT: Lee is just not a pleasant person. The place decided to squeeze in more chairs to fit more people. It feels over crowded now. I liked it better when it was«my place around the corner», now it’s everyones. I will go back. Just try to avoid the dragon lady Lee.
