Worst experience at a sonic ever! Sat in drive thru(not the little pull-in areas, the actual drive thru) at the intercom waiting to give my order for over 5 minutes with absolutely no employees responding at all to the intercom to take our order. Apparently they were understaffed that day, or at least thats what the incredibly, rude manager said. I can understand long waits in drive thrus, but flat out ignoring customers while at the intercom giving their order? There’s no excuse to warrant that.

Ordered 4 of my usual drinks– slid card in machine, the machine said approved receipt printing. Carhop delivered food and gave balance. Alerted her to the machine– and she hit the machine and put her hand on her hip– said«its broke.» I told her it said approved. She said very loudly«it didnt go through.» Again, I tried to explain the machine read approved– I do not want two charges, and she cut me off and said«Gimme back da food.» I then asked for a manager. Carhop was rude, shaky, and hot-headed. She said«manager’s a little busy. She can’t talk to you. Gimme da food.» I handed her back the drinks, feeling as if I was being treated like a thief– and in a moment of instant karma, she turned her body around so hastily that she ran SMACK into the menu pole. Honestly, even the most patient person would have wanted to throw those drinks in her face. She’s very lucky I’m a nice person. A manager came back 3 minutes later and issued a brush-off apology and was not interested in hearing about the carhop’s bad attitude, nor did she make any explanation to the machine’s processing errors. There was no out of order sign, nothing to indicate this machine was broken. However the manager said«yeah. machine’s broke.» She took our card inside– another 5 minutes later carhop emerges with my drinks, practically through them at me, and left with a chipper«have a nice day.» I’m appalled that any establishment would allow someone with a bad attitude speak to paying customers in this manner. As a staffing coordinator, I know how to recognize quality talent– and it seems like this Sonic location is scraping the bottom of the barrel. A smile, and a pleasant attitude would have went a long way. For over 10 years, I’ve always gone to sonic for my after work sugar fix for your delicious cherry dr. pepper. It looks like I need to rethink this. Thanks for giving me inspiration to raise my standards. Over 30 minutes for drinks and accused, ridiculed, and embarrassed in front of other patrons. Shameful and wrong. The pudgy carhop with the long blond hair and lisp does not need to be working in the public. FOLLOWUP: I would like to follow-up with my last review and mention that corporate did send me a coupon for a free sandwich, must purchase drink separately. Kind of lame considering my complaint was based on drink orders, and I don’t eat Sonic food. A simple letter of apology would have been sufficient.

Average time. Ice cream is always good, today I ordered the brownie blast and cookie dough POINT! Oh yeah with strawberry added. Sooooo good. I will be back

The food came out fast and fresh and there was friendly service. They always get the order right and get you in and out in a timely fashion. I’ve been to the sonic several times and the kids love it so I will continue to go back for a quick fast food option. Sonic always has new trendy options like pretzel buns and croissant buns and brioche buns.
