This place is closed. Just walked up because on Unilocal it says it’s open, but the whole place is covered up with white paper. Bummer. I really wanted to try it.

THISPLACEHASDEFINITELYCLOSEDDOWN! We have tried going to lunch here twice now in the past 2 weeks and have come to the conclusion that it is no longer in operation. My co-workers and i have tried calling the number listed and never recieve a response. Also, if you note the date of the reviews, the last one was in September 2014. Save your self the drive and plan to eat elsewhere. its such a shame, the pics and reviews looked amazing.

On the plus side: Fortunately, I and my coworkers weren’t poisoned. We went in as a group of six, and not a single one of us will be going back. This place fundamentally serves processed foods. For instance, they sell a noodle dish basically made of Top Ramen. They sell dumplings which basically are the frozen type out of a plastic bag from someplace like Costco that are fried in a pan. They proclaim to serve Continental cuisine and Mexican foods. On the contrary, it is definitely not a Mexican restaurant. The service was not stellar, either: It took a good 20 to 30 minutes to heat up the Top Ramen and fry the frozen dumplings. Amazingly, one person in our party had to wait an extra 10 minutes for their plate. Serving sizes were quite small. The experience is overall stunningly bad. This all begs a question: Why and how do they have so many decent, nary excellent reviews?

This place is seriously under-appreciated! I’ll give you 3 reasons why its such a great little gem. 1. The food quality is outstanding and always delicious! They have a tappas style menu where you can pick a couple of different dishes to try and each dish is just enough to satisfy your palate. I hate it when restaurants give you too much or not enough food. This place is just right. 2. The customer service is ALWAYS exceptional! It is hard to find a place with good food and decent customer service. But this place achieves both extremely well. 3. Their chocolate cake w/peanut butter crème. That’s right. Their chocolate cake is one of the top 3 reasons why i come here. I watch my calories and allow myself something sweet once in a while. So, when I want to stuff my face with something sweet, this is what I choose to do it with. The cake is so moist and scrumptious, while the peanut butter crème is whipped into this magical mousse that melts onto your tongue, oh-my-gawd! It’s sweet heaven! p. s. their décor may be subtle but don’t let that fool you. It’s a great place owned by some very nice people who put alot of love and care into the food. The food presentation is also quite lovely(just look at the pictures). Very well presented and service is quick.

The BF and I were looking for something nearby to take home and devour while we watched TV. They’re open late enough(10pm), and you can place your order online and it will be ready in 20 minutes! When we arrived, the guy working behind the counter asked me «Are you Alexandra?!» and I said yes(because I am). He apologized profusely, because their ordering system apparently crashed and they didn’t receive my order until a few minutes after I walked in. Even though we had to wait an extra 10 minutes, he was very friendly and wouldn’t stop apologizing. I’m usually pretty understanding so it didn’t really bother me, but he went out of his way to make sure we were happy. He gave us a complimentary slice of cheesecake(which was delicious!) and a 10% off coupon for our next visit. I really appreciate good service like that! Mistakes will happen, but it’s what the place does about it that shows you what kind of an establishment it is. The food was great!!! The fish tacos were really good. Had great grilled flavors, and were pretty sizeable. I didn’t put hot sauce on mine(which they have available for you to put in a tiny take out container), but I bet that would make them even better. We also ordered the pan seared spring roll with vegetables, and that was also very good. It was also HUGE! We thought maybe it would be a few small ones, but it was one big one. That’s fine for us because we don’t mind splitting. The peanut sauce it came with really brought out the vegetable flavors without being overwhelming. It was kind of hard to eat because it was so big, though. You couldn’t really pick it up with your hands. I ordered the veggie mandu, which are apparently Korean dumplings. These were also very tasty! Even if it isn’t the traditional way to serve them, I do wish there was some kind of dipping sauce, like some kind of sweet and sour thing or something. Finally, I had the spicy ramen. DELICIOUS! At first, the sesame oil taste was a little overwhelming and I didn’t think I was gonna like it. But as I ate, it mellowed out, and hit the spot perfectly. They even give you little plastic to-go asian soup spoons! I appreciate that attention to detail. The noodles were perfectly cooked, and it was a REALLY hefty helping for the price(5.50!). I did end up adding a fried egg to the top of mine, which really did add this great creaminess. Maybe they will considering doing the same? Overall, I liked this place a lot and would like to go back to try some different food. Obviously I can’t speak for the dine-in service but take-out is a great idea!

I really wanted to like this place but there are just WAY too many freakin flies. My hubs and I came here to originally have dinner but was so turned off after appetizers we left. There were big fatty disgusting flies that continuously flew in front of our faces while we tried to eat our hummus and tomato dip and our mandu. Then there were the little fruit flies that kept coming and drowning in the tomato dip and the mandu sauce. We trapped a few under our plates but seriously, why the hell do I have to do this at a RESTAURANT? This place is a quick lunch place at best, at dinner time it was totally empty and the feel is just bare. The guy behind the counter was attentive and nice enough, I just can’t get over the flies. At least 3 drowned in the mandu sauce and at least 2 got stuck in the tomato dip which we stopped eating. They have a serious pest problem and need to take care of that first.

Checked this place out for lunch yesterday with a colleague. Don’t let the café vibe fool you — this place is legit. An interesting mesh of styles — tapas, middle eastern, asian, even a little Italian. We shared the Two Dip Duo(fresh pita chips and sundried tomato hummus were great, regular hummus was good), the Vegetable Mandu(think veggie potstickers — I’m more of a meat guy, but they were fine), Cheese Quesadilla(SOVERYGOOD, similar to an Indian dosa — had the cilantro/jalapeño sauce on the side since I don’t do cilantro — my favorite plate all day), and the Mac & Cheese(VERYGOOD — cheesy and delicious.) We ended up leaving a few of the chips since we were stuffed, and out the door, we were under $ 30 with 2 Mexican cokes. An amazing price for good portions of quality food — definitely want to come back again and sample more of the menu.

UNIQUE, YUMMYANDFILLING This place is amazing and the food is so unique and looked so good. High quality food. It’s a hidden gem. They don’t over salt so it’s super healthy and it lets the food and ingredients speak for themselves. Cheap food too! Good place for lunch and looks small but surprisingly filling.

Hmmmm yeah this is definitely not 4.5 star quality. I tried the beef wrap, which was two pita-type wraps with strips of beef inside, each cut into two. The portion was smaller than expected(not too bad for me since I can’t eat a lot, but my co-workers were still hungry after). Size aside though, the beef was kind of chewy and tough. Whenever you bite into it, the whole piece of beef wants to come out and leave you with a sad empty wrap since the meat is too hard to break off, if that makes sense. The flavor was okay, nothing special or memorable. My coworkers tried the pastas and the pot sticker and thought they were all just okay too. Happy that there is a new lunch spot open in Glendale, but sad I wouldn’t be back for more. Some people say the items are cheap. The beef wrap was about $ 9. i wouldn’t say that’s CHEAP. I can get Chipotle, which is twice the amount of food, for less than that. Pros: Plenty of seating inside(although their AC was off or broken? a few of us were breaking out in sweats during lunch). Easy 90 minute free parking across the street.

Just had a good fusion dinner! First this is not a mexican place. They serve good fusion of any kind it seems and cheaper than many a fusion food truck. I just tried the cole slaw, veggie dumplings, greek sliders and quesadilla. All well prepared, the sliders and quesadilla were my favorites. I thought the sliders could have used carmelized onions or a vegetable of some kind. Definitely going back to try more: p

Not what I expected because my initial thought of this place was«Asian Fusion». It was but more Asian-Mediterranean fused, which is an interesting combination. We tried the sliders which was really good because their homemade tzatziki sauce. The pan seared spring roll was good too. Enough to share both with two people. I want to go back and try their quesadilla — which just brings Mexican flavor to the mix! Crazy, but hey — if I liked what I tried, might as well give it a second chance right?

I don’t do Unilocal reviews very often, in fact I think I’ve only done this maybe once or twice before. But I felt like I should give this place a rating since it’s so hidden and subtle that most people would overlook it. When my boyfriend and I went here, we were the only customers, which is a shame because the food was fantastic! The walls are plain, no menu or pictures of food on them, the whole interior is so plain actually that we were unsure at first if it was a restaurant. But I’d seen on Unilocal that it had a decent amount of good reviews so we thought we’d try it anyway, and I’m glad we did. The food is rather unique, we had the Greek sliders, a three cheese quesadilla that unfortunately I can’t remember how to spell the name of(it was something like sangbouck, or something like that, I’m sure I’m way off), and the potstickers. All of it was absolutely amazing, great quality, fresh, and flavorful. And it wasn’t too heavy to where u felt like u ate a whole cow afterwards, which is good because it doesn’t take much for me to go into a food coma. Then the waiter came over and said that if we had a little more time, they were actually bringing a complimentary dish to us, something that wasn’t on their menu yet and they wanted our opinion. It turned out to be these two types of hummus(one regular and one made out of sundried tomatoes) and in-house homemade pita chips. The two hummuses were very complimentary to each other, the whole thing was delicious. I think if they could work on their marketing and atmosphere a little more, this place would take off like gangbusters.

OK, there are conflicting views on here. My wife and I went to this place to check it out. The location is easy to get to and it’s right across the street from one of the 90 minute(free) parking garages. Considering the demographic being targeting(college students?), this was probably a smart choice. The actual restaurant is very small, but clean and modern looking. It’s very minimalist, in an intentional way. Or at least that’s how it looks. My wife ordered the pan seared cheese spring roll. I ordered the spicy ramen soup, simply because of how contested it is on here. My wife did not enjoy the spring roll. She said it had too much cilantro. She described it as tasting like cheese and cilantro. Also, her words here, she thought that even at that price she should have received two of them, as the one she received was quite small. She claims she couldn’t taste any other vegetables in there other than the cilantro. I ordered the spicy ramen. The host immediately told me that they used instant noodles but that everything else was hand made, such as the broth and the cut vegetables etc etc. I accepted of course and appreciated the warning about the instant ramen. My guess is that since this place is new they have to start somewhere and move up. I was ok to try it at least at the price of 5.50 which is, in my opinion, a ridiculously low price for any prepared food. Now, there is another picture of this dish on here. What I received looked nothing like that dish shown in the photograph. It is intentionally meant to deceive the reader. My bowl was filled to the top with broth, vegetables, and noodles. The reader should note, I LOVESPICYFOOD! I can handle the heat when it comes to spicy food. Now, this wasn’t at the top range of what I could handle if I put my mind to it, but it was right there at the tip of what I WANT to handle when I’m having a casual meal. So in that respect it was just right FORME. Having said that, most people I know don’t enjoy food as spicy as I do. Even people who claim to like spicy food. So some might not enjoy how spicy the spicy noodles are. They do offer a non-spicy variant though. The dish itself was very tasty. It didn’t taste anything like instant ramen. Having been in both college and the military, I have eaten enough instant ramen to feed a small nation. So I feel I can tell the difference between an instant ramen broth and a homemade broth. This was definitely made in house. There was cabbage, mushrooms, some type of crunchy dark green leaf(maybe leaf lettuce?) and some various other vegetables. My rating of 3 stars is based on the ratio of the quality of food I received to the price at which I was charged for it. This was barely over what I would spend on a trip to McDonalds and the food, for me, was much better. This would be the perfect stop for a quick lunch, or if you’ve been drinking and want a quick snack. The owners talked to us about the food afterwards, showing that they really care about the place. While my wife did not enjoy this encounter, I did. My wife felt like she was being talked down to, while I thought they were genuine in caring about people enjoying their visit. In closing I just want to say a few things. This is not a 5 star restaurant. Plain and simple, this it isn’t. This is asian comfort food presented at a low price point. The rating you see on here is a comparison of the price you pay vs. the experience you get. So while this, and a real 5 star place may have similar ratings, the experience and quality differs greatly. It is worth stopping to make your own opinion though, because at this price point you don’t really lose anything. My wife wouldn’t say what she would rate it. But my rating is based on these factors. She did mention that the waitress was very nice. — Price — Staff friendliness/attentiveness — Cleasiness/Atmosphere of the place — The food quality — You can actually get a cold glass bottle of coke here. Which I thought was awesome. I hope this review clears up some confusion.

These guys served me bland hummus with no oil on it, chips that tasted like they’re from Trader Joe’s, and instant ramen. When I brought this up with our server, she replied«yeah but only the noodle is instant». 1 star is too generous.

This place has it all: Amazingly personable owners, phenomenally great food, and shockingly low prices. Mayor Weaver should give them a key to Glendale for opening such an establishment, especially on this part of Maryland where business can be bleak. This is one of those places you wish to receive so much success, even if you kinda want to keep it your own little secret.

This place is a real gem. Do yourself a favor and check this place out if you are nearby. It has only been open for about two months but the love the chef/owner has for her food is obvious. The restaurant is located on Maryland Ave., in the same shopping plaza as Home Goods. It’s a bit off the beaten path, but there is a lot nearby with 90 minutes free parking. We ordered at a counter at the front of the restaurant. They showed us pictures of each dish and explained a little bit about them. This was helpful and certainly added to my increasing appetite. The food is creative and flavorful. The prices are a steal! It’s a small plates restaurant. My fiancé and I ordered the vegetable mandu(pan seared veggie potstickers), the pan seared spring rolls with beef, sliders, mac n cheese and ramen. We finished the meal with the chocolate cake with peanut butter cream. It ended up being a lot of food for just two people, but we were hungry. The standouts were the vegetable mandu, sliders(which came with this delicious, tart coleslaw) and the cake. OMG, that cake with peanut butter cream! I can’t wait to go back to try the ceviche. It’s a special item that wasn’t available when we were there. They don’t have an alcohol license yet. But they allow you to bring beer or wine in the meantime, charging corkage on wine.

We found this place on Unilocal being totally unfamiliar to the area, and I have to say we were rewarded handsomely. They’ve only been open 8 weeks, and the food is RIDICULOUS. I have to say, you won’t be able to find food this good at this price point. Go quick before people catch on to this place and you have to wait hours to get in! We had the Vegetable Mandu(tasty crispy soft pan seared dumplings), Edamummus(Edamame blended into hummus), Sangak cheese quesadilla(I don’t even think I cold put this one into words), and the pan seared beef spring roll(also fantastic). Everything was delish. We met the owner afterward, and she was an absolute doll. I can’t rate this place highly enough! Total cost: $ 21(run, don’t walk.)

My husband and I came here on a Friday night after a show at the Alex theatre since they were one of the few restaurants open past 10 pm. The employees seem like they’re really hurting for business at this hour, since my husband and I were the only ones there and they were quite attentive. When it comes to hours like this, I say that small businesses that aren’t pubs should just close at 10pm since they’re not making much money off of staying open late(unless you live in a 24⁄7 city like Las Vegas, where restaurants stay open until 3am). The food portions here are small, but since they’re so cheap, we didn’t mind ordering more than one item. Everything was good and definitely had a gourmet feel/taste to it. My only gripe was the ramen, which looked like it was cooked just using those instant ramen stuff instead of the noodles being made from scratch. However, for less than 12 bucks I can’t complain. The best item on their menu is the pan-seared spring roll. I’ve never had spring rolls that way and oh boy was it good! The lady who cooked it said that this is the first time she’d done it this way since no one else has ordered the rolls like this before, but I’m glad I did! Come back here for the pan-seared rolls; they’re tasty to eat on a nice afternoon.
