Very nice. I always get the backyard steak salad with a ginger brew. I have lunch here as often as I can!

I know it gets busy during lunch hours, but I just found a chicken bone in my salad. Cool.

Food/Service was great. However… I’ve been to this location 2x and 2x have gotten stuck in the garage off of Wilson. There are signs saying its the place to park and I’ve gotten validation both times. I don’t think I’ll ever go to this location because of this! I live for tender greens but the parking situation at this location will prevent me from going again. I’m not interested in waiting in the parking garage for 30 minutes ever again.

Ended up here on Fathers Day just by dumb luck. Cabs-Warriors game 7 packed everywhere else. Well, the pasta special was 999% better than anything at the chain Italian joint next door. Chased it with a carrot cupcake which was also amazing. Mint lemonade is pretty tart but I like it like that. Wife had the Harvest Salad & sangria which also disappeared quickly.

Why do they never cut their lettuce and greens?! This is the second time I’ve gone to tender greens and both times I’ve been disappointed. Not only is my salad not chopped they didn’t even bother to take the lettuce apart! Also $ 12 for a simple salad with chicken is too much, especially when the salad is $ 6 and adding chicken is $ 5. Even the chicken isn’t cut properly. Learn to cut in smaller pieces please. I want a salad i can eat with my fork not with my hands. Last time I buy anything from here.

Had the flank steak with butter lettuce! The steak was super flavorful. The mash potatoes were also pretty good.

Never disappoints. I usually get chicken big plate of something, sometimes steak. Great for eating clean bit slightly overpriced in my opinion.

Definitely a go-to spot; I work in the office building next door and I’m there almost every work day, either for myself or to pick up large lunch orders for the office. The cashiers and servers are always super friendly and willing to explain anything on the menu. Definitely recommend the daily special and any fish specials(especially salmon)! Also their chuck roast sandwiches whenever they’re available. I’ve never had a bad meal and any mistakes are quickly handled with ease. Can’t wait until a rewards program is in place, I’ll be the first to sign up!!!

I have been eating in Tender Greens for a long time. Started in Santa Monica, then Marina del Rey and now in Glendale. The Glendale location is close to my work. I go to this place maybe once or twice at week. I have to say that every time there is an issue with something. Don’t give you bread with the salad or the soup is so cold, or the salad you order is half what you order and half something that they mix with because they go so fast that don’t pay attention with what they are doing. Today I took my co-workers 8 of us. The guy at the register recommended the halibut«wild catch», he said«it’s amazing» and if you don’t like it we change it with something else. I did get it and it was horrible. No taste, no salt, cold, and very fishy. That was NOT fresh. I went up to the register and told the guy I dont like it. He questioned me no one but 3 times. «Is there something wrong with it», I told him. He asked me again“what was wrong with it” I told him again, and he said” if you want something else we are leaving the plate as it is, we will only change the fish” I said to him ok. I was so annoyed! He gave me a number and he came after 10’minutes and said everything else will take time like 15 or 20 minutes. I said ok. My co-worker it was her first time there and ordered a chipotle chicken sandwich and she hated it and ask for fried chicken instead. The exact same thing happened to her. The guy at the register the one attending orders to go came and asked her what was wrong with it, then an Asian man came and asked her again what was wrong with the sandwich and then the guy at the register came and told her that the fry chicken with take about 30 minutes. I got up and went to the counter and saw bunch of fry chicken already prepared. Anyways, it was a horrible experience and my last time there at any of the locations. You need to train your people better. The woman at the register was a loca one! Acting like she was high. My co– workers and I looked at each other wondering what was wrong with her.

The Hubbs and I always come here! I think we got to start checking in more often.!! It’s a very healthy place and I’ve tried the salt and pepper chicken plate and also the fried chicken sandwich. Both of those plates are the a dime piece in my food book.’ Lol

Today was my first time at Tender Greens, and I have to say, it definitely lived up to the hype. I’ve heard and seen Tender Greens around, but thought that it would just be an overpriced mediocre salad/soup/healthy plate. I mean… yess the Chinese chicken salad that I got was $ 11.50 before tax, BUT it tasted significantly better than the $ 4 Chinese chicken salad from Trader Joes. The Spring-ish mix of tatsoi and mizuna with green onions, roasted peanuts, tender chicken and legit wonton strips were brought together by this light but UMAMI sesame dressing. I’ll be back when I’m looking to treat myself without feeling guilty.

Glendale is seriously super trendy! I am so happy tender greens chose a spot here! My husband was raving about this place, so we came. The food was very light and filling. The quality of the food was outstanding. As an added bonus we had brownies… Vegan brownies!!!

After a quick stop at AAA, I knew where I HAD to go for lunch. So we headed over to our go to place when in Glendale. As usual, we were greeted by our cheerful«order taker». I felt like trying the chicken tortilla soup offered me a sample. The food and refreshing agua fresca came quickly. The quality of the food did not disappoint. The gentleman that came around the dining area came to offer drink refills several times. He even gave us our refills to go! Can’t wait to come back. Just wish they stayed open till 10pm like their location in West Hollywood.

Honestly, I don’t get what the big deal is here. Tender greens purports to serve fresh and sensible choices. They mainly serve salads and sandwiches. The major problem I take with them is the price of the food. A large salad, regardless of what is on it, will cost you $ 12. That is just for the salad alone. I think, personally, they should charge a sliding scale depending on what is on the salad. For example, I sometimes get the harvest salad. The harvest salad is just cheese, nuts, and some fruit. That salad costs the same as a salad with chicken/beef on it. That doesn’t seem to make sense to me. They also charge a lot for«extras» on the salad. For example with the harvest salad you are paying $ 1 for extra nuts and $ 5 for chicken. So a salad could end up costing you $ 18!!! I also don’t find anything outstanding about their salads that justify the high prices. I don’t notice a big difference between their salads and the salads you could get at any other chain restaurant. I’ve had some outstanding salads that are truly local and fresh. These are just ok. More inspired by local and fresh in my mind. I also had issues with a harvest salad I had one time. I ordered it with chicken. Normally I don’t order their chicken because I don’t really like it. Something tasted off in the sald. I wasn’t sure if it was the fruit or the chicken but it just wasn’t good. Flash forward to that night. I am out on a walk with my dog and my husband when my stomach rumbles. I am ten minutes into my walk when I have to run and RUN back home. My stomach went on a full revolt against me that night. I knew it was the salad because that was the only strange/off thing I ate all day. Not pleasant. The service here is ok. When I have to do work orders they never seem to be on time. Their assembly line is efficient at getting orders through though. I did also have an unpleasant experience with a server here. My tray was full of food and drinks. The server comes up and asks if she can clear anything away for me. Clearly I am still eating and drinking. She stood there and kept asking if she could take various things from my tray even after I kept saying no. My friends at my table said it was very strange and rude of her. Overall I think it is a lot of hype for salad. 13⁄100

Well, thank God for second chances. My friend and I gave this location another chance and they have definitely redeemed themselves. Undoubtedly, service is up to par, as we were welcomed by most of the staff when we walked in. The young lady taking our orders was very friendly and suggestive, so much, that she offered samples of their soup to validate her recommendations. I must say, this is a total turnaround from our first visit to this location. We arrived late in the evening for dinner. My friend opted for the Backyard Marinated Steak with a side of sweet potatoes, and a salad. I selected the Salt and Pepper Chicken with a double order of sweet potatoes. Our food was well-seasoned, hot, and good. However, I was quite surprised that they mixed cranberries in with the sweet potatoes but, no worries, as I didn’t eat the cranberries. Not only was the food good, but the portions were good too. All in all, I’m glad to know that this location is operating more smoothly and the staff is much more professional. There’s nothing like having a good, affordable, and friendly restaurant in your neighborhood. I’m hoping the goodness in this location remains for a long time.

I love Tender Greens. I was first introduced to it three years at the Hollywood location. Ever since then, when I see a Tender Greens I would try to go to it. I always get the following: Backyard Steak Salad(Med. Rare) no radish($ 11.50) — They use a horseradish vinaigrette that is very light and flavorful. The salad comes with yellow and red beets that I can eat all day, my only complaint is that they are not too generous with the beets so you need to remind them that you want more. At this first visit to the Glendale location, I also ordered the sauteed brussel sprouts($ 5.50). It was good but the amount and the size of the brussel sprouts for $ 5.50 was definitely not worth $ 5.50, so I will just stick with my steak salad.

I give the food here 3 stars, the prices get 2 stars, and the ambiance and service get 5 stars. This location just opened up near my office and I was excited to have a new place to have lunch. I have also been on a low carb/gluten free diet as of late so Tender Greens is a perfect place for me. I have honestly never really been wowed by the food here, though the mashed potatoes are pretty excellent(and not part of my low carb diet). But I give the salads a solid 3. I like to spend less than $ 10 when I go to lunch at work, but the plates here start at $ 11.50 plus tax. Bummer! Overall I will be back because this restaurant is convenient and helps me stick to my diet.
