The Cat’s Meow Esthetics & Eyelash Extensions

Christi is great! She’s patient and kind and does a wonderful job – my lashes always look awesome! I was going to another lady in Surprise for a while and I thought I liked her but then I got tired of all of the appointment drama and constant last minute canceling (on her part) so I searched and found The Cat’s Meow. It is a bit of a drive for me but I don’t mind considering she does a really good job. My last lady never really recommended any products to help my natural lashes grow other than Biotin (which I have since learned is actually for ALL hair, not just lashes. Who wants more hair all over to deal with???). Christi recommended a lash serum that has helped immensely.
I am forever grateful and so glad that I found her! If you are reading reviews and on the fence, do it! You will not be disappointed! She is a cat lover too :)

There is simply no better and safer way to get gorgeous lashes! Christi is licensed for extensions. I was looking through coupons when I decided to get lashes and then I realized– this is going to be on my eyes! I don’t want anyone who does it to have only been to a 3 hour training. With Christi you have no worries. Her salon suite is immaculate and don’t forget, lashes should be put on to suit your eyes. They just can’t be slapped on. And if you want natural, she makes your lashes look like your own. Me, I like long and mine are just what I like. I’ve been going for over a year and love her work and her kindness. And price is nice, too.

Christi was so nice and did an amazing job waxing my eyebrows and chin and tinting my eyebrows. She took her time and was detailed. I would highly recommend her!

Short review: I absolutely love Christi and her AMAZING work. My eyelashes are fabulous and always on point! She is the ONE. Look no further.
Long review:
The long review is for people like me who weren’t aware of the process and what is and is not acceptable or normal when getting eyelashes done. Hopefully this helps save someone out there some grief.
First mistake: I started getting my eyelashes done at the same Asian salon that I would get my nails done because my regular technician finally talked me into it. They put some lashes on (the most expensive option) and I liked the bolder look, but most of them would fall out after a week. I’d go back in and they’d rip (literally!) them out with tweezers after applying some gel (that burned so bad) to loosen the glue and then reapply a full set each time. Honestly and unfortunately, I hadn’t done enough research to know that this wasn’t normal. I was liking the dark, thick lashes and beauty was pain, right? So painfully unaware, I kept going. After a few times, I knew something wasn’t right, but they kept telling me it was normal and I saw other ladies getting them done there. Finally, my lashes got so sparse, she couldn’t even reapply and told me that my eyes needed a rest. I was horrified. She pulled the remaining lashes off and my eyelids were almost bald. I look back at the situation now and just blame myself for being ignorant, but fortunately learned a good lesson.
Then there was Christi: I let my eyelashes rest for almost 2 months and then had an event coming up one weekend that I wanted to look great for. I contemplated lashes again, but thought I’d do some research first (She can be taught!). I found some good reviews for Christi here on Unilocal.I called her with a last minute appointment request and she was not bothered at all to fit me in. I was very nervous because of my previous experience, but thought this would be my last go at it. When I showed up at her office, it was so clean and cozy. I was so comfortable and Christi was so sweet. I braced myself, just waiting for the burning glue, but no pain ever came. I was a little confused, but so happy. I was so comfortable, I am pretty sure I fell asleep at one point lol. When she handed me the mirror when she was done, I could have cried (she would have killed me for getting water on them that soon though, haha), they looked so amazing. I have been back every 3 weeks since, always a happy customer.
Unfortunately again, I am searching for someone to fill those big shoes in St. Petersburg, as I just moved across the country last week. If I could have convinced Christi to move to FL, I would have packed her up! :’(

This place is great and Christi is WONDERFUL!!! This was my first time with lash extensions and she patiently explained the procedure and care. She answered all my questions and made me feel comfortable. The studio is clean and she is very professional. I love this this place and my lashes!!!

I was desperate on a Saturday for a full set, and was referred to Christi by another couple of nice ladies that couldn’t get me in. My lashes were pathetic, but when she was done with me, they were full and lush and very natural looking!!! Christi, thank you so much for getting me in, I can wait for my next fill!

I can’t believe it has taken me so long to write a review! I have been going to Christy for several months to get eyelash extensions and she is amazing. Lately my skin has been driving me crazy. It has been red, itchy, and super dry. I decided to get a facial and holy cow I am glad I did! That was the best facial I have ever had by far. It was so relaxing, my skin looks and feels amazing, and I just felt so pampered. Christy is so nice and loves what she does, I can not wait to get another facial!

Christie was amazing! I am a lifelong sufferer of short, stubby, blonde eyelashes. I thought for $ 50 it couldn’t hurt to at least try the eyelash extensions. Christie helped me pick a style of eyelash extensions that would best suit me and my lifestyle. THE EYELASHES ARE AWESOME!!! I was told they would last 2 – 3 weeks, it’s been 4 and still looking GREAT! I never put on mascara anymore, the cost is better than any other salon, and the service is so personal. I am hooked on eyelash extensions and the Cat’s Meow, I will never go elsewhere. When I was there Christie was so flexible with no pressure. On the spot she was able to dye and wax my eyebrows, it was like having my own glam squad! :) Can’t wait to get an eyelash fill this week.
