Came here on a Saturday around 7PM, there was a good amount of people here but it wasn’t too crowded. Nice ambiance, great selection of beers, the bar tenders were nice and friendly. There was a good variety of music playing at a perfect volume, it wasn’t loud enough to where you had to start yelling in people’s ears. Also, I love the fact that it’s not located in such a busy area/street because it makes it a little easier to find parking etc etc. Also, free pool tables which is nice. I’d definitely come back.

Have driven by here many times thinking, eh, dive bar that maybe one day I’ll stop at. Well that one day came. And it was worth it. Won’t be my last visit. This place has a good vibe and is low key. Bar tender was impressive with his knowledge of the beers and the variety was impressive as well. Free pool can’t be beat. I don’t head out for a drink often, but when I do I’m a bit of a beer snob. This place catered to my inner beer snobbiness. Caution to the lesser drinking variety. some of them are really high percentage and while they taste oh so good. three can leave you off a little worse than you thought ;)(I believe there is a review on here anonymously announcing me as «a friend.» Really good time though! And will be back next time I decide to venture out!

Good service. The beer selection is choice. Try the Oud Bruin Sour Ale and the Chouffe Dobbelen Tripel IPA

Holy beer Batman! GT is a legit dive bar, low key and a great place to guzzle down craft beers! No frills here, but seriously a solid place to get your drink on, especially if you luuuh beer. Bar tenders are friendly and knowledgeable, making Glendale Tap a great venue to just chill and make conversation with other patrons.

Very small bar. More of a casual visit type of thing. Only Rock music but I’m fine with that. One dollar gets you 2 songs on the juke box free pool, free infinite peanuts! Definitely coming back here. Tons of beer choices too.

Monday was my first(and not last) visit to The Glendale Tap. This place is small, has a little«divey» vibe to it. The beer selection was pretty impressive. It had a great selection of sours and some High Octane beers that were delicious. My friend likes them so much, she was still hung over 24 hours after we left! How’s THAT for a thumbs up! and you cant beat the pool takes and music playing at this place. very nice. Glendale Tab has earned a place on my bar rotation list.

One of my absolute favorite spots I love coming here to try new beers. And I can always count on the peanuts and vintage cartoons. The free pool and awesome bartenders aren’t bad either

Good thing this place is far from me or else I’d be here more often than I should. It’s honestly one of the best, if not THE best place for craft beers. Excuse me if I sound like a beer snob in this review, I’ll try to hold it in. Glendale Tap(GT) is probably most known for their wide selection of craft beers and ciders. We aren’t talking about just all the IPAs that you would typically get at a regular bar. GT carries a few selections of sour ales on tap and in bottles which I do appreciate very much. I remember the first time I was here; they had a Belgium sour ale on tap and it was so good I think I cried a little. Of course if you are a true beer snob, you know you need and want the more stouty beers. Which they do have. It’s not cheap, but they have it in a bottle. Of course they do carry browns and lagers for the more casual drinkers. As well as ciders and lambics for those who don’t really drink beer but still want a proper drink. The vibe here is super chill. Love the bartenders at GT, always courteous, very knowledgeable, and most importantly… they work quick and efficiently. GT, one of the best kept secrets in Glendale. Shout out to my friend and fellow beer connoisseur Aren A. for introducing me to this place.

This is my favorite bar. The beer, ambiance, and music is perfect. This is a great place to hang out all night with your friends. We drink greats beers, play pool, eat peanuts, and have a great time. The pool and peanuts are free. The music is all classic rock or 60s 70s pop. The bathrooms are a highlight, this may sound weird but I like using the bathroom here. They are clean, cool colors and the best part is the soap. It’s the borax powder soap like in school. This is the best soap and I feel clean and ready to drink more after. I may sound crazy but you know it is great soap.

Great bar with an impressive selection of interesting beers. Not pretentious, not a dive. Just right. Prices are very reasonable, and service is friendly. Good music, weird stuff to distract you on a couple of TV screens. Free pool(only two tables though)! Seating is not the most comfortable, but hey, it’s a bar! Also, first time I have seen Miller High Life on nitro.

For weeks I came here spending my hard earned money at this lousy dive bar. Having a good time meeting up with friends for drinks and playing pool occasionally. Tonight, the owner gave me the creeps! He not only has a starring problem, apparently he has a problem with me drinking my own non-acoholic beverage. There’s no sign anywhere inside or outside the bar that says you can’t bring water in the bar.(If you have a problem with that, then put a sign up.) For 1 night only, I didn’t buy beer to drink and play pool. That’s when the owner gave me the starred the entire time while I was playing pool with my friends. How is it possible for anyone to feel comfortable and have a good time at The Glendale Tap when the owner operates such negative behavior?!! What a CREEP?!! The caucasian man(The Creepy Owner) constantly stood next to the fridge by the pool table starred straight at me the entire time as if I committed a murder? Everywhere I walked, his eyes followed. CREEPY *ag! … With this kind of CREEPY unfriendly behavior, I rather take my money elsewhere. CREEP!!! STAYAWAY!!! PS: Dear Creepy Guy, If you have a problem with people playing pool and not buying beer to drink for one night. Why not start charging for pool table? Is not my problem when your business suffer due to lack of marketing skills. Obviously, we’re all here to have a good time. You have anger management issues and you decided to take it out on your regular customers.

It’s been a while since I’ve written a review, but the Glendale Tap has inspired me to do so. They deserve a solid five stars for the following reasons: 1. Great beer selection at good prices. Bells beer, from Michigan, on tap(try the Double Cream stout). 2. Free peanuts. Why do peanuts go with beer so well? 3. Great music selection. Divey bar music for a divey bar. 4. Nice, divey décor. The bar is made from a salvaged bowling lane; there is a giant, stuffed fish above the bar; the floor looks terrible; and the beer signs are mostly of old beer companies(like Hams) that have gone out of business(mostly because they were awful, cheap beer). 5. Dumpy pool tables with ample chalk. Perfect. 6. Great service. I felt at home and the bartenders were genuinely nice and welcoming. This might be my new favorite bar. I love it.

Happy hour review. Their happy hours are a bit strange but have been confirmed by one of the bartenders. This information is not available on the website: Mon, Tues, Wed: 5−8PM Thurs: 1−8PM Fri: 5−7PM Sat/Sun: 1−5PM During the above hours, all pints are $ 2 off and all goblets are $ 1 off. This is probably the best dive bar for brews that I’ve found. There is nothing fancy about this place. It’s dark and has a bit of a retro feel upon entering. There are bar stools along the bar and a few tables scattered throughout. Bartenders are nice, helpful, and knowledgeable. There are many draft beers on tap and a nice variety of ales. I’m told that they rotate several taps about every 3 wks. It feels like a neighborhood joint where everyone knows each other. They don’t serve food per se, but they do sell pretzels for $ 3 and serve free peanuts. They have one pool table and, remarkably, they offer free pool every day, all day. parking — free street parking

Rad beer bar with pool in an otherwise undesirable area of Glendale. Easy to find, and relatively easy to find parking on the streets. They have a large list of beers, draught and bottles. The bottles are in a small case at the end of the bar, all of which can be purchased to enjoy at home. I was pleased by the offerings, some brands I haven’t seen in awhile and a few I wish I had seen but didn’t. For example I’ve been trying to find Oberon everywhere, without luck. Maybe next time. There is a pool table or two? A bit fuzzy on the details as this was the last stop of the evening. Hubs and I were celebrating, and had been at a private party prior, fuzzy is putting it mildly. Next time we go I hope to get there earlier so I can grab a seat at the bar. Secondly I hope to go back midweek, when maybe there is a little more room to move around comfortably. That’s not a bad thing to complain about, it is proof that this place is awesome! Go see for yourself!

Bar tenders are pretty cheerful and down to earth. I’ve had some excellent attentive service, glad to let you taste a sample or two. There’s a good selection of drafts, no hard liquor. Be sure to try their soul ales. There are 2 free pool tables, depending on when you come it can get crowded. I’ve seen people bring their own stick in. There are two small tvs, not much of a sports bar, but it’s nice to have that option as I watched some March Madness here. The jukebox could use a major overhaul as their selection is incredibly limited, and the music is often not meeting the vibe of the crowd. The music seems to get stuck in a depressing 90’s soft rock/alternative purgatory. The crowd is usually pretty cool, somewhat diverse, a bit heavy on the guy side. It’s got a small underground feel to it, a solid beer selection, excellent bar tenders, and a unique crowd.

Very chill bar. Free pool and peanuts. Four page list of beers on tap, so the possibilities are endless! Bartenders are nice and there are plenty of seats. Juke box in the corner for all of your jams! Nice place to head for a drink after work.

It doesn’t happen often but sometimes I walk into a place and say to myself, «this is the kind of joint I would open someday.» Well, that is exactly what I said when I stepped foot inside The Glendale Tap this past weekend. It’s kind of dirty looking to the eye but in reality very clean. You know, it’s a bit like when YOU,(not me) buy a Rolling Stones shirt from Target. It’s weathered and road-worn looking but actually has never seen a bead or sweat, switchblade or hardcore drug in its life. Granted there are lots of old automotive and drinking artifacts from floor to ceiling, but it’s all tidy and well kept. The beer… oh boy, the beer. Being from San Diego I know great beer bars and live a quick five minute walk from Hamilton’s, one of the best in the country. This place gives them a great run for their money with about 50 options on tap but the best part about it is that there was zero crowd at 1:00pm on a Saturday. Thankfully it also lacked the pretentiousness and beer-snobery that often goes hand in hand with beer experts colliding with beer novices. Great bartender, fantastic beer and a must visit when in the area.
