The Perfect Bite

The worst baked brie I have ever had in my life!
I placed it in the oven and thank God I put a baking sheet underneath because it started bubbling and the Brie oozed out of the puff pastry to blurb down on the baking sheet.
The cooking time was 40 to 45 minutes. I took it out after 25 minutes because it was starting burning on the sides and the amount of Brie on the baking sheet was substantial.
It was impossible to take the baked brie out of the tray without making a huge mess.
Nice picture on the packaging but how did they succeed in having such a nice baked Brie without braking it into pieces to get it out of the tray?
Taste wise: horrible! They obviously use cheap Brie and not a good French Brie. And the Apple cranberry chutney is nothing to write home about!
I usually make baked Brie on my own and it is to die for.
I will learn my lesson!!!

I love the mini burgers with carmelized onions and gorganzola! I found these at Jonathan’s in La Jolla and picked them up on a whim (they were on sale.) Now I can’t get them out of my mind. I’ve had Kobe burgers and these little guys rival them for taste and texture– but its the mix of onion and cheese that send these morsels over the top. The only problem is finding stores that stock them closer to OB where I live. I checked out the site and it needs to be updated– last one seems to be from 2009.
Seriously– these are a «perfect bite.»

I wanted to get a few «gourmet» appetizers for a little house warming party and since I couldn’t cook it all I decided to look online for a company that delivered frozen ones. The perfect bite was a perfect fit as it had most of the appetizers I was looking for (i.e mushroom pizzas, lollipop chicken and sliders). The appetizers arrived promptly at my doorstep in a day and I unwrapped to find tray after tray of delicious food. I popped some of it in the oven then and there to «test» it (you know to be sure that I’m not feeding my guests something that tastes bad), and I was not disappointed. The appetizers were excellent and it took ever ounce of my willpower to not eat any more of them and save them for the party. The cooking instructions are quite specific too but I found that I like to leave them in a little longer than they said just because sometimes some items (especially meat) didn’t get heated/​cooked all the way through. All in all, the perfect bite helped me throw my party without a hitch and the food was a raving success. I will definitely order again if the occasion arises although it can get quite pricey so keep this in mind before you order (factor in one day shipping charges).

I just tasted a sample of their Cranberry Gorgonzola Pastry Kisses. OMG! They were so good!
