I love getting my hair cut here, Nora is always very friendly and courteous and no one else has cut my hair as good as she does

I see all the negative reviews about this place but there’s a catch. You need to go have Nora take care of you. She is very experienced, takes note of your head shape, and crafts a hairstyle that will suit you personally. I’ve been to many places and I don’t think I’ll go elsewhere so long as Nora is around.

Wonderful neighborhood salon that is the only place my family and I trust with our hair. Been a loyal customer of Nora’s(lovely owner) for over 6 years. I first took my 7 year old son there for a haircut after his karate class next door and this quickly became our routine every 3 weeks which we still do. Even though my son is a teenager now, he still trusts Nora to keep his cut looking cool and styled just right(short all over but a little long in the front so he can put some gel in it for that swag look. ;) My younger child also loves getting her trims here and loves all the attention she gets from Nora and her sweet staff… she loves the fact that they always give her a lollipop after her cut. I cannot say enough about what a great job they always do on my hair! Maro is such a friendly and professional colorist who is also super fast with blow-drying/straightening my long hair. She does my color & root maintenance and Nora takes care of my trims & final styling. My hubby is a regular too & always comes home happy with his perfectly trimmed hair. We love Young Styles & recommend them to anyone!

I have tried their haircuts, their blowdries, and their waxing, I wasn’t happy with any of the above. And when I went for a blowdry I was charged $ 45 which I think was very expensive for what I got.

No good! You definitely have to keep an eye on things. I brought my little girl to this place and she can’t even keep a straight bob straight. We went home and saw some pieces of hair un-cut and uneven. Boy’s hair cut is decent. But for girls, you will be better off finding a better quality salon even if you have to pay extra.

Horrible customer service, extremely rude! Twice I called ahead of time to make sure there would not be a wait for my daughter when I came in. The women who I talked to on the phone were condescending and dismissive… the last time they told me to come in in 30 minutes. When I showed up with my 2 small children, there were suddenly 5 haircuts ahead of me. That’s why I called! Not worth it in the least. I would give 0 stars if they would let me.

I used to see Marina when she had a salon down the street. She has since moved here and I am always happy with her cuts. I have long hair with layers and I’ve had my fair share of bad haircuts. The great thing about Marina is that she can do anything from a basic simple cut in like 10 minutes, to Japanese hair straightening or coloring etc. On top of that her prices are PHENOMENAL, especially for this area. When I first moved here I physically walked into about 10 salons, asking about their pricing. Everything was $ 50 or more for a simple cut. I was feeling pretty hopeless, as this is just out of my price range, and hell if I am going to pay some 17 yr old $ 50 to cut my hair. I don’t think so. Finally as a last ditch effort, as I was passing by her place I decided to give it one more try. When I came in and spoke to her, not only did she give me an incredibly good price, but she cut my hair right then and there! The reason I give 3 stars instead of 4 or 5 is because last time I went, when I sat down she asked if I wanted just a haircut or a cut and blowdry… and I said blowdry too please because I can’t tell if I like the cut when its wet. Well, I wasn’t terribly happy when I went to pay. The bill was twice as much as a cut alone. I think if something is going to double your bill, then the stylist should tell you that, or at least tell you how much it costs before proceeding. I don’t really understand why she did that, but I don’t have a lot of money, and this definitely set me back.
