Bulldoze this b — s— place down, everything was wrong, they don’t even try! Really Glendora step up and bury this place. Every bite of my shrimp cocktail had a healthy waft of beach from the bar! God almighty! A chicken salad straight from Costco! Just pissed! One of those night!

Nice neighborhood spot to have some evening cocktails and listen to live music like Bluesman Stan West!

I ate here for dinner — which was included with a presentation I was invited to in the meeting room attached to the restaurant. There were about 35 people which is a lot to serve at once but I thought the service was very good and the food was hot and tasty. I had chicken cordon bleu. The starters(soup, salad and hot sourdough bread) were also very good.

I have a love/hate relationship with the Continental. The bartenders are mostly good. The servers not so much. On one visit, the owner was our server. I am guessing she trains the servers herself. This is a mistake. She is lousy at it. She should hire a good server to train her staff or take them to a restaurant that actually gets it. Either way, she needs to let it go. Wife and I like the early bird meals. Unfortunately, it takes so long to get a server, the early bird special is over. We have left more than once without ever talking to a server. Now that we have given up on buying food here, we come in for a drink or listen to the band. This works out fine, as long as we get our drinks from the bartender. Dan is no longer here. We did like him. We never found him rude. Kathy is decent, we like Nicholas and Rachel a little better. The place gets packed on weekend nights and the crowd gets a little unruly. They do have security guards checking ID and Rachel can reign in the baddies. She surprises me sometimes. 10# of TNT in a 2# package. We will continue coming here. We just know that it can be improved by an owner with a clue. Again, the staff is fine, the owner should be fired.

The worst fish smell I have ever encountered. Dead fish smells better then the clam chowder and the frozen lobster, what the fuck! Never, never again! I wish I could give it a NO stars!

This place used to be good. Tonight the steak tasted funny and the ribs were old, cold, and nasty. The food was so bad we wont go back.

Don’t be in a hurry to eat, usually takes 30 to 45 minutes before you get your food. Now they charge $ 4. To split your meal. Outrageous!

Very cost effective hardy lunch. Soup(2 bowls), tongue, blue cheese, bread and wine for $ 10. Food is good but I think the Chino Centro Basco has them beat.

Disgusting bland food, the poor waitresses are over worked. The owner/manager publicly humiliated our waitress, while she was doing her best to get our food out while helping four other tables. The other people in my group’s steaks were greatly undercooked and mostly fat, while my food was bland and inedible. Besides the food being terrible, I am more upset and encourage you all to avoid this restaurant because of the way the owner treats her staff. It’s truly disgusting to me how on multiple occasions(I tried to give them a second chance but they greatly failed) the owner treated her waitresses poorly. Not only do these waitresses have to deal with cranky, picky people(mostly the owner’s friends) to serve, but they get screamed at and demeaned by their manager when getting the food out is beyond their control.

First time there, looking forward to the next time. Staff were welcoming, décor was nostalgic like the old-school dinner house, service quick, order accurate and served in a very timely manner, everything was delicious. Ordered Continental Chicken(Lemon Chicken), topped with a tangy, buttery lemon sauce and capers… yummy! Husband had Chopped Steak, very tasty, generous portion. Mashed Potatoes were real and really, really delicious. All dinners served with soup, salad, amazing bread and dessert… bang for the buck. Oh, and cocktail was excellent! Give them a shot!

Finally made it here and I had a blast. Didn’t break the bank and left feeling fuzzy and warm. The band was on point and the whole vibe of the bar was pretty fantastic. Definitely a dive but not grimy at all

We were sitting at a table in the lounge for 40 minutes before a waitress stopped to ask if we needed anything! We had to go to the bar to order a drink. When a waitress finally stopped by I asked for a menu and she handed me one and walked away. I guess she didn’t notice the empties on the table. I’m still waiting for her to come back and take my order! We really only come in to see The Stan West Band play, otherwise we would not be here!

Love this place, can ketch me here many days during the week, Love the Patty Melt, it is nice and grease the way it should be, the Rack of lamb is great, Rena the day time bartender is sweet and always nice. I call this my friends bar. All the Bar Tenders are great except the one who works Mon-Thur nights, I would nominate her for the worst Bartender in La County(Kathy), she comes in, I need to leave!!! Rena the Day time bar tender is the best, Sunday — Wed!!!

Frozen in time is not a bad thing. Old school beats today’s grads since old school can actually understand math, read, spell and write. See photo for the Rack Of Lamb with eight ribs of lamb that they served me. Totally awesome. The other half had the rib eye steak and it was really tasty. Happily, we don’t go to fine dining places like the Glendora Continental to get drunk so the one star rants about bartenders didn’t apply to our visit. Giving a crappy review to a place just because you don’t agree with their décor is infantile. Grow up childish Unilocalers. The world really doesn’t revolve around you. Really!

First of all this place used to be the place to go. Great music and all. Unfortunately new bartenders have taken over and they are less than stellar. First of all the dude is a straight Jerk. He is loud and grumpy and just not pleasant. The lady bartender is not much better with more dry attitude and ill since of humor. If you’re looking for a good time you might as well pick another pub in town. Boo

This place is fantastic! It is red-leather-boothed, dark, lounge-lizard spendor! I can NOT believe its taken me this long to check it out. I don’t know what I expected exactly, but it wasn’t this fabulous. Old school to the max. Like, my parent’s generation… Jerry Lewis /Dean Martin kinda old school. Me and some of the other Housewives got together for some girl time on a Tuesday night. Sadly, we missed Happy Hour. But the bar was full, the bartender quick to take out order and with a smile! The lounge(we did not go into the restaurant at all) was hopping and a lively karaōke night was in full swing.(Man, the gent who sang My Way was extremely talented!) We wanted to order appetizers and a waitress magically appeared.(Found out later she migrated from the restaurant side.) It was the ushe: taquitos, french fries, and some other fried egg-rolly thing. They came out hot, and did the trick all the grease soaking up the likka, allowing us to find our way home. The food was not revelatory, but I wasn’t expecting that anyway, nor should you. This was a preliminary for another full night of song, laughter, and good times. I’ll be back!

Problems again with a real BITCH bartender, CATHY… she caused problems with a regular customer tonight for some odd reason??? Nobody knows why. Otherwise, it can be a pretty cool place to hang out. I usually enjoy drinks and music at the lounge, but the restaurant side is okay.

My dad goes to this place all the time and he wanted to take me here. I ordered a fried shrimp lunch entrée for 8.50, it came with a salad or soup, broccoli, mashed potato and bread. The bartender was very nice but it could be because my dad knew her. The salad took a long time to come out and the lettuce was really wet and so it did not taste well. The main course came out and there were only five fried shrimp on the plate, which I have mixed feelings about. I believe they split the shrimp in half and then put them in the fried batter so there were«more» fries-ness. I thought the shrimps were really crispy and enjoyed them. There were only two broccoli pieces which was terrible and the mashed potato needed some butter because it was dry. I am not sure if I would come back but if someone paid for it then yes.
