Great comic book store! They have a huge inventory! If they don’t have what your looking for they can special order it for you!

Great shop. If you looking for variants, they charge a bit more. But I like the wall of new releases that are bagged for you. Tons of all the new trades. I visit during lunchtime on a weekday and usually the only one. I like the place. Yes frank and sons may charge a dollar less for issues, but this place rocks.

Worst customer service ever!!! I went a couple times and will never go again!!! The place is always completely empty. I am guessing it is because they all have such charming personalities. Just asking simple question seems like an epic chore to them. If you ask em to get a back issue from the store room they really give you the «I hate my life face». This place is so bad at customer service I went on line to find another place and stumbled across a place called frank on sons in the city of industry. It is like a swap meet for collectibles. A bunch of different vendors have all kind of great stuff there. I live 2 min away from Jpm but refuse to ever go back.

Found this place about a year ago and its the best comic book store I’ve been too. Friendly people, great variety of books, and just a good time for every visit. I usually go every other week and they always have everything I want. Highly recommend.

I’ve been buying my comics from JPM for years. Started because it was the closest comic book shop to me but continued because of quality customer service. Most recently I was buying the newest issue of a 6 part series every month and by the 3rd issue they would hold a copy aside for me. Mind you, I’m not that much of a regular, maybe stop by once every couple months, but I’m pretty sure everyone working there recognizes me, and even if they don’t they greet me like they do. I’ve seen too many comic shops come and go I would hate to see the same fate for JPM. It is a rather large selection for being a store on the smaller side, carries a wide variety of DC and Marvel comics, carries dark horse, along with various other labels, even carries a small selection of manga’s, action figures, t-shirts and collectables to choose from. Conviently located across the street from the famous ‘Doughnut Man’

I went to JPM today looking for a new comic shop after moving. I met Pierre and what a nice man! He is willing to help you find what ever it is that your heart desires. He may not carry everything under the sun but he will special order for you anything you ask for. I was even told that he has a special list of months special orders, so it is not an uncommon thing. This store is larger than any other that I have been in. I was amazed at the quantity of selection available. I would definitely say that this is a good place to check out.

Great local location for comic books. While the store itself is pretty small as most will indicate it does have a large selection. The staff is friendly and is very knowledgeable, I would highly recommend.

Sooo, long time coming but here it is Pierre is awesome and knows his stuff! Was more than overjoyed I stumbled upon this place. A humble comic store with a very knowledgeable and helpful, Pierre. Went in looking for something for my older brother who is big on comics. We go back and forth buying each other surprise gifts. Thus, it was my turn and thank goodness Pierre was there. I told him what my brother was into and he showed me some amazing Batman reads: No Man’s Land, Hush and some other items. I told him I’m a huge fan of Harley Quinn, a glitter came about his eyes and he disappeared in back for a sec and popped out to show me a comic in his special collection: Harley Quinn’s first appearance circa 1990’s? Anyway, was way cool of Pierre to show me that and his in depth customer service was more than helpful. Purchased No Man’s Land book #1 and the Killing Joke for my brother and a 2 cup set of the Joker and Harley Quinn for myself. He even put all my comics in a reusable comic themed bag so I can use it everytime I come on down. Cool policy they have is if you don’t totally enjoy the comic/book, you can return or exchange it. Luckily, my brother didn’t have either of the books I gave him so didn’t have to exchange/return. I was content with this place. Not as huge or fancy but for me, overall pleasant experience and I look forward to going back to chat more with Pierre. I know he is a man with stories and I look forward to learning more about his life and love of comics.

This place was hard to find but worth it. The place had a great selection of the newest and old comics. The elderly man at counter was sweet and very helpful. Will be back soon.

Not happy… went there today, Sunday 1.18.15 at 1pm and the store wasn’t open. New sign stated 2015 hours and opening Sundays at noon. No sign stating why they were closed. Drove from RC as I prefer anywhere else thank 4 colors. I will not make another trip here unless I already happen to be in the area which is rare…

My son and i recently got into comics and JPM is the closest shop to us. I had the chance to meet the owner of the shop and he took the time to educate me on what comics i should purchase for investments and what comics i can order online if i just want to read the stories. Very informative and friendly. JPM will be my go to shop from now on! I was able to find 1st print issues of comics i cant find anywhere else!

Great customer experience. Staff was so friendly and helpful. Got the comic I went in for and it they helped me find it and even better it was on sale. I got it for half off its original price. Great customer experience and saved a good chunk of money. Thanks jpm!

Great comic book store! They are pretty small and the people who work there are very knowledgable. Don’t expect a membership system like a main stream comic shop, they are way more«mom and pop» and have a very old school way of selling their comic books. Don’t pull stuff that you don’t plan on picking up later!

Definitely one of the worst slum grounds I’ve ever been to. JPM just has that uninviting vibes as soon as you enter the door. Their shelves of comics just look dirty, the R2-D2 full of jolly ranchers looks gross, and the action figures randomly thrown around the store have dust covering them. The staff is very lazy and will tell you whatever they think will get them a sale. I bought a few Magic: The Gathering intro sets and asked if they all come with different cards. I was told that they do, but when I got them home; sure enough, all were the same. Don’t bother coming here for«Free Comic Book Day» either. They charge for comics… on free comic book day. Nonsense. If you really need a Comic Book fix, hit up 4Color in Rancho. To Hell with JPM.

I’ve always been a fan of comics, and even though I’m in my mid-thirties and haven’t bought a comic since I was a teenager, it’s always a good feeling to know that you can find a comic book store in the area. I’ll admit, I was surprised at the wealth of comics and toys at this location. I totally loved it and even though I’ve been here only once… I know I’ll be back so I can start collecting comics again. The parking is good and it’s always a joy coming in and seeing all the wonderful toys that are available. The staff is also very friendly and helpful which is a plus.

I’m not a comic book nerd so take my review as one from someone who doesn’t frequent these places. This place is tucked into the corner of the Tuesday Morning shopping center, please remember this as Unilocal sent us into Azusa. We came in here looking for comic books for our kids. Specifically«smurfs» comics and the like; they didn’t have any. Their overall selection of comics for children is rather small. However, the store is well organized, decently merchandised, and pretty easy to navigate.
