Mike Guitar World

We love it here. I’m picky about the environments I take my children into and this place meets my standards. I have one child in piano and one child in guitar. Both cannot wait to go to music every week! My boys are completely different and each of their teachers fit their personalities so well. I can’t say enough good things about our experience here.

Mikes Guitar World is more than just a place to take lessons, it’s a place where you can grow not only musically but socially. My son, who started when he was 15 years old was a good guitar player when he joined, however he had a problem dealing with being the center of attention whether it be playing on stage or giving an oral report. Mike took him in and started him in a band where he fit and felt comfortable. After practicing a few months it was time for him to perform in a small club (Route 66). He wasn’t too happy about it and was ready to quit, but with the backing of Mike and his band members he managed to get through it. Fast forward two and a half years later, he not only played in two bands but was showboating on stage and playing the guitar behind his back and loving every minute of it. I believe the confidence he gained through this experience is invaluable and will carry on throughout his life and will always be associated with good times. As for Mike himself, he is a long haired ex rock and roller who I believe is truly doing something he loves and cares about, music. Whether he’s teaching guitar, giving band lessons or rocking along with the students he is always easy to talk to, and everyone seems to gravitate towards him. As for the other teachers, they all seem to be excellent as well. My son is now away at college and in a very small dorm room with two other students however he still managed to take two guitars with him and occasionally find time to jam with other students. I give Mikes Guitar World five stars not only because of his effort to never stop improving the musical skills of his students, but because of the overall life experience my son has gained.

Not many places would take on a 3 year old drummer, but Adrian did! We have had an excellent experience so far. My son has learned so much and Adrian is more patient that I am! (And very very talented)

this place has been an extremely great environment! I’ve learned so much begin taught by mike, I have grown as a musician extensively since coming to MGW. Not only does he try and teach a way the student will understand more but he’s also more than a teacher, he’s a friend. I highly recommend taking lessons and joining the band program it really increases stage presence and give you a different quality when working with other musicians.

Mikes guitar world has an incredible environment to learn and grow as a musician! The instructors are amazing at helping my child understand their instrument. They are also very involved in the community I would highly recommend this place to everybody. A great friendly environment.

The Best Place for Lessons! such a great environment for kids of all ages to go and express themselves musically. The staff and the teacher’s are great, the band program is a fantastic outlet for any child who wants to perform and be part of a group. We have always have had a great experience there and would recommend it to any of my friends for their kids.
