Seriously awesome food and friendly atmosphere. They have a great menu and will customize anything you want. Sometimes there is a bit of a wait but it is totally worth it. Excellent food at reasonable prices.

Stopped here with a buddy of mine the other day and it did not disappoint. We both ordered cheesesteaks and they were very good. Judging by the menu, everything seems reasonably priced and a lot of the food is homemade. There’s also indoor seating which is a plus in my book. If you’re ever in the area, this is a nice little deli to check out. They also serve breakfast, which I’d like to try during my next visit.

I was led here by fellow Unilocalers who did not steer me wrong with their 5 stars. Thank you!(We missed the crab bisque, but we thoroughly enjoyed what we got just the same.) The Sprota’s Special cheesesteak, with bacon, got gobbled too quickly for me to photograph. As did the Lima Bean Soup(soup of the day), and the coffee cake. I was able to catch a photo of the turkey hoagie, the«Summer Salad,» and the Macaroni Salad. Everything was REALLY good! The Sprota’s Special cheesesteak has A LOTOFMEAT on it. Hubs got it with sharp prov. The tanginess of the cheese combined with the saltiness of the bacon, and crisp peppers, all over that mountain of meat, was delicious. The Lima Bean Soup had been made fresh just hours before. It had lima beans, huge gobs of ham, carrots, tomatoes, and subtle seasoning. It was excellent. We were so impressed at how they made so much from scratch there, that we were surprised to hear the coffee cake came from a deli in NY, however, it was extremely good too(had just arrived that morning). About an inch and a half of brown sugar on top, not so good for the diet, but heaven for the tongue! They use DeLuxe rolls, which is a bakery I didn’t know. A quick Google search(Deluxe Italian Bakery) shows me they are in Runnemede, NJ, so living on the PA side, this is probably why they aren’t used here. The rolls were more floury and dry than the Ital rolls I am used to over here, but VERY fresh and VERY good just the same. They look beautiful and make for a really good sandwich. The Summer Salad was a new recipe from the dark-haired chef(I’m sorry I didn’t get her name). It has a lighter taste, with a subtle homemade ranch dressing, spinach, corn, carrots, etc. It was really good. The macaroni salad was EXACTLY the taste I wanted. I could tell the ingredients were top quality. Very very good. My turkey hoagie was also very good. I was so stuffed I could not finish, but I enjoyed the rest later. The women there were really friendly and ready to answer any questions. They seemed to LOVE to cook, and to really enjoy what they were doing. The dark-haired woman was telling stories about how she has been cooking since she was 12, and lived in the city, and how she used to get so excited when she created something that looked and tasted good. Well, she put a lot of love into our food, and it was much appreciated. The whole place is probably The Cleanest Deli I have been to in my life! Extremely clean. I felt like I had to clean up after myself because I didn’t want to be the one to get the place messy. ;-) They have a lounge area set up with a TV and a fireplace, which is more café-like in one area, which I think is a really nice touch. It was a great place for us to wait for takeout, since we had to go to beat rush hour traffic home to PA. Next time we are in the area, we will be back FORSURE! Thank you, Jersey, for a GREAT lunch! :-)

Just based off this crab bisque soup… i am giving this deli 5 stars. If you like crab bisque this is a must try. I am not sure if this a daily soup or only made on fridays, but do not pass this place like I have. I have no more words to describe the amazing taste this soup has except for do not let another day go bye without trying it… wow!

I have to say without a doubt that Carmella at Sprota’s /Satisfare has catered several event I have attended, one being at my home. The service and food were second to none. I had received many compliments on the food, and I told everyone about the deli /catering service and major kudos to Carmella and her staff.

It pains me to have to do this, because the truth is, I don’t want to share all my secrets with the rest if you. However, I can only be this selfish for so long, and its time to give credit where credits due. Sprota’s is without question, the best little deli I have ever been to. After 30+ visits here, there hasn’t been one disappointment I can think of. Daily homemade soups(crab bisque on Friday is otherworldly), generous sandwiches, and one of the most decadent chicken cheeseteaks I’ve ever had — do the BBQ bacon chicken cheeseteak special and you will see. And let’s not forget the reason I found this place — BREAKFAST! Huge breakfast sandwiches on whatever you like, plus a full menu of other things. I can’t vouch for the hoagies, salads, or grilled cheese… But there’s something for everyone. And if you don’t see it on the menu, just ask, they’ll probably make it for you. Owners are super nice and there almost everyday. Accepts debit/credit cards too.
