I went to this place with Debra R and Jose R. The store was really nice and it has good kitchen products. We got some coffee, tea, a hamburger press, and a spoon rest.

Great place to shop for great gifts. When ever its someone’s birthday or holiday I can make the village kitchen shoppe my one-stop-shop. When ever I need an extra tool for my kitchen this is exactly where I love to go, they have it all! VKS has great coffee too!

Took a cooking class here last Thursday with Dede and her sidekick. What a hoot! The class was informal and fun. Like cooking with friends. The food was delicious. I ended up making the dish(Prosciutto stuffed Chicken) for my hubby on Valentines Day and it turned out great! I booked another class for next month! The shop is well stocked and reasonably priced. Yes maybe you could find some stuff cheaper on the Internet but I love the sights and smells of a good kitchen store and I appreciate the knowledge and personal attention from a human being standing in front of me. Call me crazy…

I took a few«classes» here in the past and liked it a lot. Sure, the supply store is on the more expensive side but that is to be expected from a brick-and-morter store. It has a homey feel and they offer coffee as you’re browsing. Some items were fair enough priced to purchase. The classes were not really classes but demonstrations. Being a more intermediate to advanced cook/baker, I didn’t learn much but it was fun and they give more than enough food, plus wine! It was an enjoyable way to spend a Saturday afternoon. So when Groupon offered ½ price I bought 2 classes to bring a friend. I called to make reservations THREE(3) months before the groupons expired and, like another reviewer, all classes I could take were full or groupons were not allowed. Worst of all, I was speaking to one of the two owners and she was extremely rude and insulting. The first thing she snapped was«YOU people could have come for classes in February and March, but no – you all wait until summer!» I’m thinking – ‘you people?’ What is that supposed to mean? Trying to be accommodating, I said«well then after the expiration date, the groupons are still worth face value($ 25)»…something that is the backbone of the groupon process, but she insisted«NO. It’s worth nothing. You can’t use it for anything but a class, and once it expires, no classes will allow groupons.» So of course I had no choice but to call Groupon and get a refund, which they graciously allowed. Clearly, Village Kitchen Shoppe had a bitter experience with their foray into groupons, but if you allow an 8-month promotional period, you can’t expect everyone who bought a groupon to use it during your slow winter months! Her rudeness was so appalling I could not get past it. I’ve never returned and I heartily do NOT recommend this business. It’s a shame the owner cut her own throat.

Hands down my new favorite place! My mother in law took me here for a break making class on oh how glad I am that she did! We got to the class a little early so we had time to mosey around and browse the place. First, it’s in my favorite part of Glendora! Such a cute little area to shop and have coffee at. The exterior of the place is so dang adorable! And it gets even cuter when you walk in! They have such an assortment of fantastic kitchen supplies. And it’s those cute«country» type of items; not run of the mill stuff that you can find at Bed, Bath and Beyond. But my personal favorite was all the coffee. Not only is there a ridiculous amount of coffee, but they have a tray of samples to smell!!! Do you have any idea how amazing that is to a coffee connoisseur like me? I almost missed the class because I was having such a blast. And I didn’t catch her name, but the cute little blonde girl that works down is hands down the most helpful and nicest person I have ever met. As for the class, I LOVEDIT! The girl who taught the class belongs in a pinup magazine; I loved her style! It was hands on and she was very thorough in answering questions and explaining the process to us. I really didn’t realize how much goes into making certain breads! We did 4 different types of bread and tasted them all once they were cooked. This was one of the funnest things I have ever done. If you love cooking, you won’t be sorry taking a class here! Or if you just want to get some cool and cute items for your kitchen, make sure to stop in!

Purchased 2 Groupons for cooking a cooking class for me and a friend but all the classes were full or could not be used with Groupons until after Aug 31st. My Groupons expire on Aug 31st. I am asking Groupon for my money back because they were not helpful or willing to put us in a class after August 31st.

Fun demo cooking classes. Jyll from Next Foodnetwork Star is one of the teachers. Great girls night out food, wine and laughs. What more could you ask for? The owners are very friendly.

Maybe it’s the wine talking, I’m giddy! Took a cooking class here today and thoroughly enjoyed myself! Thought I would be bummed after reading one of the reviews that expressed disappointment about it not being hands on … Au Contraire! The class, «Asian Fusion» included several recipes along with a full on demonstration. Good thing I brought along an appetite as we were served each and every dish along with a fair share of tea, coffee, water &/or Sauvignon Blanc: Vegetarian Spring Rolls with Hoisin Dipping Sauce Korean Barbequed Short Ribs Pineapple Fried Rice Garlic and Ginger Stir-Fry Cabbage Easy Pineapple Upside Down Cake Quite good! Also learned several tips and found much inspiration throughout the 2 hr session, like you can freeze peeled ginger so it’s always fresh and on hand and ready to shred. Really? Awesome! The store itself(price wise) twas a bit outside my comfort range. Cooking class though — I’m game!

Great selection but very pricey! If you are willing to spend the extra dollar you will be sure to get your money’s worth. Have not taken a cooking class there because the good ones sell at very quickly!

I stumbled upon the Kitchen Shoppe while waiting for my car to be serviced! This place is great! They are a tad overpriced, but I love kitchen gadgets! I purchased a bunch of cute things for my kitchen and a Father’s Day gift! I will definitely go back to purchase some of their loose teas. The sales woman that helped me was super nice too! I bought some fantastic Rose flavored Honey too! LOVESIT!

I took two cooking classes at the Village Kitchen Shoppe because I bought a deal on Groupon. It’s not a hands on class. It’s a demonstration. Would I pay full price for the cooking demo? Probably not. Would I buy another Groupon for a class here? Probably not. I’m a hands on kinda girl. If I want to watch a demo, I’ll just stick to the Food Network. Also, the dishes that the chefs make are a hit or a miss. On the plus side, the instructors are funny and really nice. They’re more than willing to answer any questions that you may have. The store itself is really cute but the items are overpriced. Better off buying it on Amazon.

I love the Village Kitchen Shoppe. It’s a treat to wander through during all the holidays. They always have beautiful seasonal items, candy, tea pots, décor, etc. They have all the flavored coffees you could desire and a coffee club to join. They also have all kinds of teas for you tea time folks out there. You may pay more here for your toaster or processor than you would at Target, but they also have all kinds of cool kitchen gadgets for those moments you don’t have time to run to Target or Sur la Table. The back of the store has truffle oil, gourmet cake mixes, spices, etc. They have a decent cook book selection. It’s definitely a place you can easily assemble a wonderful gift for the kitchen trinket lover, gourmand, and cook in your life. You can even take cooking classes here.
