Joel Goodman, DDS

I have been a long time patient of Dr. Goodman’s since I was a child. I have since moved away to California and recently received a high bill from the CA dentist of procedures that I needed including a deep cleaning and fillings.
I went to Dr. Goodman during the holiday trip back to MD mainly for peace of mind since I trust him and his staff.
Mindy the receptionist scheduled me in a time that was convenient for me. I had to cancel the first appointment since it was too early in the morning and then something opened up so she scheduled me for another day and time.
I saw a dental hygienist who was new to me though I’m not sure how long she’s been at the practice. In the past I’ve seen Anna who is great! This time around I was seen by LaRay, a friendly and informative hygienist. She explained everything thoroughly to me, addressed my questions and concerns and even showed me what she was doing (checking to see if I needed the scaling and planing aka deep cleaning). She gave me a useful pamphlet on the procedures that I now need when I return to CA and her business card.
Mindy called the dentist I had seen for an exam in CA and obtained via fax the information from when they were testing to see if I needed a deep cleaning. LaRay and Dr. Goodman worked with a printed out copy of my x rays.
Dr. Goodman charged me $ 60 for the exam and dental education exam which is worth it to me since I now know that I actually need these procedures and the CA dentist isn’t just a scam artist.
I am grateful for being worked into his schedule, seeing a knowledgeable and attentive hygienist LaRay and peace of mind.
