The signs were there but it was late. Waited 5 minutes for desk clerk to finish her phone conversation with manager– she apologized was nice — but it was late. Go down the hall — groups of kids lingering from some sports team seeming loud — but it was late. Get in room — turn on air(it was 90 plus during the day and still very hot and humid) air is VERY low and has a musty smell — go to desk she says no other rooms and turn the circuit to reboot the air. Back to room — more kids in hall — air now smells like urine. We exit — drive an hour to MA and pay 3 times the price due to grad weekends in the area. Had stayed here several times before — would sleep in the car before staying again.

The desk service late at night is nonexistent. The first room was occupied!(much to the guest’s dismay I’m sure) and the desk clerk had to put us in 3 different room before we got settled – and this was at 1:30 a.m. after a long flight. Was also supposed to get a discount as we were part of group attending a funeral but alas, this was not to be. On top of this the room stunk and the breakfast was not worth eating. Really lame company, paid way too much for what we got.

One star only. It’s a bed and a bathroom, that’s it. Check out is at 11, but they literally kick you out of the breakfast room at 10. Very weak customer service. They may be the only game in town, so to their clients, «Screw off and go away».

In the middle of nowhere, this hotel needs to be equivalent to its rates. A discounted AAA rate of 109/night doesn’t really feel like a good value. The mattress was ok, not too hard, the linens where on the cheap side. The towels where tiny and sheet thin. I really hate that. The free breakfast kicked us out of occupying the breakfast area even if we weren’t eating at 10:00AM Check in at 2:00 but we arrived a little area to an empty parking lot and they would not accommodate us. I guess if it’s the only game in town… It’s fine. But, if you have another choice… Go there.

The worst experience I’ve ever had at a comfort inn. It was hard to find a room near Albany on graduation weekend, so I agreed to a smoking room which I wad told wouldn’t be «too bad». It was awful. So bad that after two hours I ended up sleeping in the car where my eyes aren’t tearing and my throat tightening. Went in the room to shower in the morning and found hair(def not mine!) on the sink and shower. Avoid this place.

This is one of two hotels in Glenmont just outside of Albany — just minutes by car from the Empire State Convention Center. I was there for two nights and had a different room each night — both King rooms. One was a King room on the first floor and the other was a King Suite on the second floor. Both rooms were great. Both rooms had a nice sized fridge and microwave which was handy. The King Suite on the second floor was great — the room was large with a big work area, flat screen tv, king bed and sofa. There was a smaller room with a door that had another sofa, I think they both pulled out, as well as a flat screen tv, small desk, fridge and microwave. Complimentary breakfast had a nice selection of items including waffles — but I only usually have coffee for breakfast so didn’t try it firsthand. There were always several dinner selections in the restaurant which was convenient and many local places also deliver to this hotel. Only negative is the tv has only local channels… but the wifi is free and fast. Stayed February 2013

we stayed here about 5 months ago, for one night one, thank goodness. The hallway smelled awful, in both smoking and non-smoking. the smell wasn’t smoke, it was rotting trash. the shower heads were really low, and the place was generally unclean. I prefer a hampton inn much more, and have learned to steer clear of comfort inn.
