I’ve eaten here a lot. Kale Caesar salad, burgers, pizza are all pretty good. They do a great job of rotating in new craft beers. Service is always decent.

Ok so you want wood fired pizza? How about a one that tasted burnt? The topping was great an I actually ate 3 pieces but why would they serve one that is burnt?

Great servers, nice vibe, great IPAs, amazing cocktails but the food… My goodness, the food! Scallops, mussels, the Spaniard burger, wings, meatballs, spedieni, Mac and cheese, and brownies: all cooked in a wood oven. Incredible!

Love the wings and sauces but the service has always been very slow for us. We got our wings to go and are just as happy!

What a delicious meal we just had here. Fantastic burgers! What I got of my fries were delicious too but my son stole most of them and couldn’t help himself. I really really wish this were closer to home.

I eaten there several times I find the food to be very well cooked I especially love they’re wood fired Pizza they have a decent beer selection however I find the wait staff to be extremely slow and not very good at tending to your needs when you ask for particular items or for something to be excluded from a dish and on many occasions I get my main meal before my appetizer other than that I would highly recommend that you check this place out

Killer beer and cocktail list! Love any place that taps Druthers and the winter warmer was stellar. The apple Cider Margarita was also nice. The flame grilled tandoori wings stole the show! Spicy Thai, Balsamic Blue and the Red Sriacha all paired well with the smokey grilled flavor, BBQ Chicken pizza was 3.5÷5 sauce was ehh and fontina lack flavor but loved my overall experience

Had dinner here with my friends recently before a minor league hockey game at the Civic Center. Good beer selection, although the waitress couldn’t list me a single offering when I asked her what was on tap for local beers. I ordered the wings with three different dipping sauces — nothing too spectacular and the wings were still a bit undercooked inside. Don’t know what people are raving about here. The Spaniard Burger was fantastic, except that I had to wait about 15 minutes longer than my friends’ entrees to start digging into it. Luckily I woofed it down in time as we left shortly after for the game. Hopefully the next time I come here when in the GF area, this place will impress me more!

We hit this place before going to the Five Finger Death Punch show. Good service, awesome wings and the wood fired pizza was great.

Best burgers in town HANDSDOWN. The wings are friggin’ amazing and the wood fired pizza is some of the best, if not the best in the area. Great rotating craft beer selection. Come here and never leave.

During one of our nights in Lake George, my brother-in-law suggested Downtown City Tavern for Dinner. Checking the menu online ahead of time, the place looked like a cool place with lots of options. Unfortunately we were left disappointed. When we first arrived, we had to wait about 10 minutes to be seated, as the hostess waited for a particular table to be cleaned, even though there were several clean tables elsewhere in the restaurant. As a former restaurant employee, I understand that ideally a hostess wants to seat in a rotation of servers’ sections; however, I would never make a guest wait just so I could keep my rotation going. This is a huge pet peeve of mine. The next major, and really the bigger, complaint I had, was that the menu was not accurate. I ordered a sandwich which the menu said contained feta, yet I specifically requested no feta. They did comply with my request; however, the sandwich also had mozzarella on it, which was not listed on the menu. Perhaps I should have been more clear by saying«no cheese whatsoever,» but I should be able to assume that what is listed in the description on the menu is accurate. I did send the sandwich back and they re-made it for me with no problem, but the hassle should have been avoided all together. Once my meal came out correctly, it was good. My husband agreed that his food was good, but nothing special. We also had to wait quite a while for our check and then for our waitress to take our payment so we could leave — another pet peeve of mine. When I’m ready to go, I just want to go. From how the place comes across online, and my BIL’s hype, it was a bit of a disappointment. I’m always happy to check out a local establishment, but we won’t bother returning next time we’re in the area.

Good craft beers and mickaletta the bartender(I’m sure I just butchered her name) was very nice. Good grilled wings with 3 different dipping sauces were a bargain for $ 9.95. It’s a little high on the wool cap/hipster index but still quite reasonable and enjoyable

First time visiting this restaurant. I ordered a burger with American cheese sautéed onions mayonnaise lettuce tomato and barbecue sauce. It was fabulous. The french fries were very tasty and hot. We tried the meatball appetizer the sauce was kind of bland added a little salt and it made it better. Overall it was a good experience the waitstaff was attentive.

Boo they got rid of the Guinness on draft but kept all the branded merch décor very annoying false advertising. Also kept the dizzy waitresses services sucks. Move back 3 spaces.

We come here a few times a year, when visiting the area. Tonight we decided to bring six in for dinner. When we arrived at 5:45pm, the restaraunt was about half full. With only three wait staff/bartenders, it took nearly 45 minutes just to get drinks. Appetizers and the meals were ordered at the same time. All in all it took nearly two hours to get our meal. It appeared the order may not have been put into the computer, but the waitress was pretty obnoxious, Alex was her name. Possibly due to her and the other just being extremely overwhelmed. Whomever is in charge of staffing, truly dropped the ball. The kitchen staff needs help too, because the food was half hot, and the rest ice cold. Overall this has been very disappointing. Unfortunately what has been a tradition for us while in the area, has come to an end. The food is still the same, good. However, with the staffing? It just can’t make up the difference.

We come here regularly with our kids and without. It’s a great place the staff is awesome food is great! I’ve tried a majority of the food offerings and have not been disappointed. If you go during times they have specials available take advantage because more times then none they are worth it! I have only had one poor service experience and tat was during the lunch hour when the bartender was also waiting on tables. Some nights they do music, hip hop Thursday’s were great hope that it comes back soon! And they have the best alcoholic milkshakes haha definitely top 5 spots in Glens Falls!

Best bar in Glens Falls. We come here to get our heat on prior to the Phish… They have the sirious hi-horsepower beers on tap which I need. Also, they were playing some live music(Jerry Garcia /Grateful Dead type stuff). We had a very enjoyable time here. Get your heat on.

I really want to give DTCT5 stars, but… a few little, probably VERY little, things prevent me from doing so. Passing through Glens Falls after a trip to the Lake George outlets gave us the perfect opportunity to stop here for the third or fourth time since they opened. We always say we wish they were located closer to our home. Starting with pints of Founder’s Dirty Bastard($ 7; 8.5 abv) and Sierra Celebration($ 5; 6.8 abv) we were on our way to starting 2014. As I’ve said before, this is the place you go to for great burgers, non-traditional wood-fired pizza and wood-fired wings. Today we learned that they also know how to make some delicious soups. My wife ordered the Curry Lime Lentil($ 3.95÷5.95) with its vegetable broth, braised lentils, red curry and lime juice. First of all, the cup size here is like a bowl in many other places. The curry was not too spicy and the blend of flavors was perfect with the addition of lime to the broth. My choice of soup was the Pork Pozole made with bouillon, hominy, cilantro, and avocado. There was actually more shredded pork than hominy in my cup. Once again, the kitchen blended the flavors here perfectly. The only thing I missed from this pozole was possibly a dollop of sour cream. Did I mention that both soups were served really nice and hot? Their burgers are available in two sizes — 8 or 5 oz. of Angus beef. The Chef’s Featured burgers are 8 oz. and either $ 12.95 or $ 13.95. My wife asked for the Spaniard Angus Burger in the 5 oz. size which was then billed as a BYOB(build your own burger; $ 5.95 + chorizo $ 1.50 + fried egg $ 1.50). Since the 8 oz. size would have also included Tavern Fries, her BYOB also had an additional $ 2.95 charge for the fries. The $ 11.90 total is still less than the $ 13.95 that would have been charged for the larger portion, but you should be aware of how the cost is calculated because the Tavern Fries tasted like your basic frozen french fries and something that you might want to pass up if you are building your own burger. Did I mention how good the Angus beef burgers taste? But the server never asked how my wife wanted her burger cooked so it came out medium-well. I’ve had the Fennel Sausage pizza($ 11.95) before. If I had remembered, I might have tried something different. Luckily, I enjoyed it the last time and did so once again with its house made fennel sausage and house blend of mozzarella. I think I’d like a little more fennel flavor however. Our server, Christina, was friendly and nice, but maybe overly«thankful» since she expressed her gratitude at the end of almost every sentence. We did have to remind her to bring us some place settings when she brought the soup and spoons, but she responded quickly to our request for ketchup and checked on us periodically. We enjoy the atmosphere here along with the beer, burgers and pizza so we’ll continue to visit whenever we have the opportunity. Oh, and I shouldn’t forget to mention that they have replaced those useless tiny cloth napkins with standard sized paper ones.

When we saw Steve Barnes’ writeup on Tablehopping, we hopped in the car and drove to DCT immediately. I am sick and tired of «New American» places with the same old tired menu and it was exciting to see somebody outside of the box. They had me at «Kale Caesar»(har har), a salad made with kale instead of romaine and puffs of fried polenta pinch-hitting for the croutons. It was fantastic. The stem-on fried artichoke hearts in white bean/garlic dipping sauce were fabulous. Wood fired pizza had great smoky crust, though I ordered the mushroom which was an uninteresting topping and I’d do something else next time. Not everything worked. The burger bun was too flimsy to support the innards. And the wings, which were tandoori-cooked instead of fried, were too dry. But I am very willing to forgive DCT the occasional miss because of all their hits. Beer selection was excellent… Ithaca Flower Power on tap. Nothing wrong with that. My kid had the Shamrock milkshake which filled him up for his meal yet was a bit skimpy for $ 4.95. DCT is small and the tables are close together. If it’s a nice day, I’d ask to sit on the patio next time.
