I’ve been getting my haircut by John for about 16 years and counting, ever since he was at The Haircut Place in Morrell. I’m the type of person that gets bored with hairstyles quickly and change my style every couple months. John is always up for the challenge with whatever I ask for and does a great job every time. He opened this shop in a nice location and has really come along. The shop is a nice place to chill while you wait to be cut and he has brought in other stylists to meet the needs of growing business(male and female). He also sells hair products for your convenience. Pricing is definitely fair and either cheaper or on par with other shops. You definitely get your money’s worth and I get my hair cut at least every 2 weeks. I definitely recommend this shop and just remember to sign in your name under one of the stylists/barbers when you walk in.

My first cut at Johnny Cool’s was excellent. John did exactly what I asked for and was, well, cool. No pressure, not overly chatty, but still friendly. He asked if I knew what number I usually get on my hair. I don’t, but he got it perfect. He went just short enough, faded it nicely, and didn’t make me think he might be using a bone saw(I’ve had some rough haircuts, and my hair is wild). The shop was decorated with lots of sports memorabilia and SportsCenter was on, so that’s the culture and a conversation starter. Personally, I have a hard time hearing when there’s a clipper buzzing in my ear, so I’m a little taciturn when getting my hair cut. I didn’t feel pressured to chit chat, but you definitely could if you wanted to. This place is aptly named. My haircut was a nice, easy experience and didn’t break the bank. I’ll definitely be back. My only suggestion would be to implement a scheduling system, since it’s walk-in only.

Friday afternoon went to fix my haircut because the one I got at Ralph’s was a disaster. Fairly long wait and only 1 barber inside so when it got busy it was pretty hectic. But besides that it’s a cool barber spot that can cut any style hair for men’s.

I’d been going to Ralphs nearby for years but this place came recommended to me by a friend. It’s a great small shop that gives a really good cut at a great price.

I have been shopping for barbers for a couple of months since my previous barber dissappeared. There is not much selection in the Jenkintown/Glenside area. My hair is tough to deal with and I am pretty particular, so after being butchered by a few places including Ralph’s, I was relieved to find this place. This guy can really cut hair and is very personable. Its great to see investment in the area and I would love to see them stay open for years to come. Go check them out!
