Selection and price is all I care about when it comes to purchasing beer and this place had Victory Hop Wallop for 15% less than I could find it anywhere else, so I’ll definitely be back. It kinda reminds me of the drive thru my dad went to, so there’s a nostalgia component in play as well. Whether they have slightly more exotic or hard to find stuff, I couldn’t say.

I was only in here for a few minutes in and out getting a case for my hurricane irene fortress, but even in the face of bad weather, the guys who worked here were willing to put in an order for a kind of beer that i had been desiring but had yet to find. i declined, because i don’t expect to be back in the area that often to pick it up, but it’s nice to know this is a place where they’ll get what you need if they don’t already have it.

I’m not convinced that the is much difference between beer distributors here in PA. In states with sane laws(meaning you can purchase a six pack or a single bottle) there are stores with hundreds and hundreds different beers. I haven’t seen the equivalent here. All that is to say that, I think PA beer distributors differ more in service and convenience than in selection. Madonna’s is a drive thru that is easy-in, easy out(convenience– check). The guys are really friendly and quick; I like it that the cashier comes over to the car to deal with me rather than leaning out of the booth like at Easton Beer Distributor down the street(good service — check). Unfortunately the place is pretty shabby looking and it is impossible to tell if it is open without actually driving through. Still, I’ll keep going.
