The 1st visit to the new location was a bit disappointing. The new digs are nice enough. I came in on Tuesday in August around 6 p.m. to a totally empty bar which was extremely warm.(No AC). The one beer I had(Old Winnie?) was an E.S.B which was just O.K. I would have maybe liked to try some others, but was getting uncomfortable from the heat. I’ve had some decent brews from GG’s when it was across the street, so I can’t really say if they are any better or worse now. They advertised house– made spirits, which I told they have, but are unable to sell due to PLCB licensing. Good luck w/that! I would like to possibly give them another chance when the weather gets cooler, but it is not high on my priority list.

The beers range from poor to mediocre, I tried the four on tap and there were no standouts. I understand that a brown ale should be lightly carbonated but this one had none. The food is nothing to write home about either, my steak tip sandwich was simply dry beef tips on a roll, no seasoning or sauce. The night we went there was one server for about twenty customers but she did a great job juggling everyone’s orders.

This is the newest incarnation of G&G Brewers. The food is delish and the new restaurant is beautiful(it’s across the street from where it was). The beer is, as usual, quite terrific. They are still in the process of fine tuning everything, but I was extremely impressed by the quality of the beer. Great job guys! Much Success.
