It would have been nice if they would have pre-​approved me before they made me pay over thousands of dollars because my insurance would not cover any benefits because I was already getting the procedures done. To top it off I still had veins.

Dr. Propes and the staff were wonderful! I was so pleased with the Doctors bedside manor. He made me feel relaxed and confident in him and his skills. The results made me wish that I had taken care of my veins sooner. I will not hesitate to go back. I have already recommended him to my friends.

Caution– very expensive! Make sure your insurance covers this. I went in for a 20 minute consultation, in which Dr. Propes just looked at my legs (didn’t perform any procedures). They charged me $ 200 for this visit PLUS another $ 2000! For a twenty minute consult! BE CAREFUL!!! No wonder they can afford all those ads and marketing.

Beautiful office, friendly and kind staff, and amazing care. Dr. Propes provided his undivided attention to my every need. He even provided me with his cell number if anything came up following my procedure — of course, nothing did but it was really thoughtful in this day and age. A kind and caring doctor, I’d recommend to anyone who needs such care.

DON’T PUT IT OFF AS LONG AS I DID, TRUST ME YOU WILL BE SO HAPPY! I have had varicose veins on both of my legs since I was in my late teens, they run in our family! I finally had it with the ugly legs and the stares from people not to mention the pain these veins caused. I made an appointment for a consultation. I knew I was going to like this place the staff are so wonderful, Geneene and RosaLee, they are both so friendly and kind and so is Dr. Propes, he made me feel comfortable and spent time with me talking about what he could do for me to make my legs look better and be healty legs. I had my first treament done last Wednesday on my left leg and my second one today, on my right leg, I have 2 more to go these next 2 weeks along with some followups after that. They tell you exactly what is happening and what you may feel, they talk to you the entire time, like your with a bunch of friends, just gabbing. I love them and this is the best thing i have done for myself in ages. I am glad I am having these done in the colder weather — those compression stockings are my only thing I do not care for but they are not the end of the world… go to this place, you will be so happy, i know I am already even though I am not even finsihed yet… these folks are awesome… you will not be disappointed.

I had a wonderful experience at Midwest Vein Center in Glenview. I had two veins on the on the underside of my nose from rhino plastic surgery. Dr. Propes and his staff were very friendly and took the time to answer my questions and explain how they could help me. After just a few minutes the veins were gone! Something so small that has caused me to be self-​conscious about for years was gone and I cannot thank him and staff enough.

I have battled for years with painful throbbing varicose veins. I have had 3 procedures done on 1 leg. One procedure was preformed by a top ranked vascular surgeon (top 5%) with temporary results. I consulted with a vascular surgeon at northwestern hospital,(top 1%) & he told me I had no problem. Finally I met Dr. Propes and I explained to him my life long battle with my painful varicose veins, he listened and agreed I had a problem and reassured me he’s do all he could to help relieve the pain and well as improve the appearance of my legs. Yes I had some very unhealthy veins and Dr. Propes found them all and shut them down. All I can say is that he and his staff are the best. It’s now been almost 9 months since my procedure and I am pain free and have no ugly veins. My legs look so clear and beautiful for the 1^st time in 30 years. He was honest with me and told me that I have to follow up when new veins appear before they become larger and that it’s simple maintenance. I recommend him to everyone who has varicose veins he is truly a very talented Dr.

I first went to Midwest Vein Center last May 2012. I had so major varicose veins and after the first procedure, the worst of the veins were fixed with a laser procedure. The rest of the veins were done with sclerotherepy injections over the next few months. I am extremely happy with the doctor and nurses there and would highly recommended them. The results were better than I had hoped for.

My second pregnancy was a tough one, but not because of morning sickness. I had the worst case of varicose veins. My ankles were swollen and purple from all of the varicose veins and spider veins. They were very painful and unsightly. I wore compression stockings and pants during the summer months, so you know it was bad!
The closest office was Glenview since they had not opened their Chicago office at that time. Even though it involved some driving, it was so worth having Dr. Propes work on my veins! After my son was born, my veins were drastically better, but the little guy definitely left some damage behind! I had a big bulging vein on my lower leg and more on the other leg too (not to mention all of the spiders.). I had laser ablation (EVLT) done on both legs and then several rounds of treatment for my spider veins. My legs look so much better than when I arrived for my consultation!
I had a wonderful experience there. From the moment I walked in, his staff was so welcoming and friendly (including Dr. Propes.) During each session, we chatted about anything and everything the entire time. I would compare it to going to the hair stylist that you not only go to for a haircut, but also great conversation! I can’t say enough good things about them. Dr. Propes is very professional and down-​to-​earth at the same time.
A word of advice to anyone considering treatment for veins. Be prepared because it is a lengthy process. I started in Jan and was back and forth for treatments until May. I took a break for the summer and then started back in the September. I was officially done in Oct!

I have had bad veins in my legs since high school. Varicose veins are a genetic disorder that I got from both of my grandmothers. The commercials for Midwest Vein Center are all over television and the radio and I decided to try them out. I’m glad I finally made the appointment! When you first go in, there is an initial consultation to see if your condition is covered by insurance. Thankfully most of the cost was picked up by my insurance. I needed two EVO treatments and a couple spider vein treatments. My legs are nearly flawless and I have nothing but good things to say about MVC.
Dr. Propes and his staff are amazing. I couldn’t imagine going anywhere else for treatment. The only downside for me is the office location. I wish they were closer to the city but I will travel for healthy looking legs. The best time to go in for treatments is in the cooler months. You have to wear ugly compression stockings for almost a week after the procedure. I couldn’t image wearing those stockings in warmer weather. If you have varicose veins check out MVC, you will not be disappointed!
