I’ve been wearing glasses for many years and, until recently, I haven’t felt compelled to return to any of the eye-wear stores I’ve been to. In other words, I haven’t been a very loyal«repeat customer» simply because I usually felt I was being rushed or treated very impersonally. Whenever it was time for a new exam and glasses, I would stop into any eye-wear store that was close to wherever I happened to be at the time. When we learned that my 10 year old son might need glasses so I decided to stop at this Rosin’s simply because it was close to my younger daughter’s «Little Gym» class. I was«WOW’d» with the level of service I received from the optometrist and the sales staff. I found them extremely pleasant, knowledgeable and very patience with my questions. I also felt they were genuinely sensitive to my son’s questions. They also helped make sure my 5 year old daughter was entertained with their kid’s DVD selections during our visits. Unfortunately, boys being boys, my son has had to replace his glasses more than once. I’m happy to say that my repeat visits have all exceeded my expectations. More recently, my daughter also needed an eye exam and glasses, so I took her to Rosin’s. I was very happy with the exam and the help we received in selecting the right frames for her! Although I believe there was a change in staff from my first last year, the service and attention has continued to be great! In addition to purchasing my daughter’s new glasses earlier this year, I recently returned to replace my son’s damaged frames. Both kids really enjoy stopping at Rosin’s and they’ve gotten to know Daisy fairy well,(I believe she’s the manager). I find her to be very professional and she’s made it «fun» for them and always has a big smile when they walk in. Thankfully, she’s been very patient with each of the children and made sure they selected frames they really liked and were within my budget. I will definitely buy my next pair of glasses at Rosin’s in Glenview!

I took my children to Rosin Eyecare in Glenview. I had scheduled the appointments back to back as I had two children that needed exams. We arrived on time for our appointments and were greeted by a very abrasive sales associate. I was given forms to fill out for each of my children. We waited around 30 minutes for my first child to go back for her exam. Next, my other child’s appointment time came and went. I noticed that customers were walking up to the counter and relating issues with glasses/contacts that they had purchased. I then watched customers going in back for 10 – 20 minutes and meeting with the doctor. It was now 45 minutes past my second child’s appointment. I inquired as to why it was taking so long and was told that customers had come in and had issues with contacts/glasses. I couldn’t believe that we had appointments that were scheduled weeks ago, and were now waiting for walk-ins to be taken care of before us! After an hour, we ended up leaving without completing our second exam. I had spoken with the manager regarding the long wait and she asked if we would like to reschedule… I said«No Thank You!» … One and done… Update: Today I called another Rosin Eye Care(Northbrook location) and spoke with a sale associate.Vivian. I gave her our information(name, insurance, etc.). Once again, unprofessional and abrasive. She asked me to repeat information a couple of times. After 15 minutes on the phone, she seemed in a hurry and said her computer was running slow/not working and she would call me back to reschedule. Waited 15 minutes or so as I had to leave for work… Didn’t hear back from her so I called her back as I wanted to confirm appts for my children. She then said«its have been busy». .DONE with Rosin!

My husband got a new pair of glasses here last year. We actually had the exam somewhere else and didn’t like the other place’s high pressure sales techniques. At Rosin we felt free to roam around and look at all the frames. We came in on the weekend and it was very busy. It must be a popular place to go. We found a frame and they used the prescription information from the other eye clinic to set my husband up with new frames and lenses. The frames arrived in no time. I’m really pleased and I will be going there myself when my insurance covers my next eye exam.
