Ninos is a miracle worker! I went in needing to breathe some life into my hair and after consulting with him, he did exactly that. I have been getting highlights since I can remember, without switching it up very much throughout the years. This time, I pulled the plug and went with something different. I ended up going with balayage and I am so happy I did! The salon and Ninos are truly professionals, but they also make you feel at ease and like family. Ninos, himself, is incredibly talented; The color, the cut, the styling afterwards — to say I loved the end result would be an understatement. If you are considering getting your hair done at Scruples, do not hesitate — you won’t regret it!

Christine did a great mani/​pedi she is probably the best I’ve ever had! I am so glad I found this salon! Its worth the drive for me! I would highly recommend her to anyone.

This is a very nice salon and they offer a lot of good services. I bought the groupon promotion they had and I am very satisfied! Rami cut and colored my hair and it looks very nice. I recommend this place.

Nadia is great! Went to her for waxing and definitely going back. So nice and efficient and has great tips for skin care. My mom was also very pleased with her eyebrow threading.

I got highlights and a haircut from Ninos Tammo and he was amazing! He had such attention to detail and was very patient while I was explaining what I wanted done with my hair. It is probably the best cut and color I’ve ever had. I would definitely recommend him.

My experience at Scruples was nothing short of perfect. Ninos is a TRULY (and I mean that genuinely) gifted and talented stylist. A true gem. From the moment we sat down for my consultation (and even more so after he began his work) I had complete confidence in his expertise and sense of style. In my case he did a GORGEOUS cut, color (balayage) and eyebrow threading — PERFECTION IN EVERY CASE. Ninos also styled my husband’s hair — and it was equally fantastic — honestly, it is the best I’ve ever seen his hair look.
The salon itself is beautiful, and the entire staff and other stylists I met are incredibly warm, friendly, welcoming and professional. I’ve already recommended this salon and Ninos to my friends and family and can’t wait to return myself.

Nadia is fabulous– if you have waxing that needs to be done– she was awesome! As close to painless as waxing can be. Nice small salon.

I can’t say enough nice things about my experience! This was my first time at Scruples, and I very much enjoyed it from start to finish with Rami! Rami, Rami, Rami!!! He is so very talented at haircuts and highlights! My hair is VERY curly and not an easy cut, but he knew exactly how to create an amazing style that completely surpassed any expectation I had! Even the chair I sat in while he was washed my hair was a massage chair to help create a total spa day experience! I just don’t see how I could ever trust anyone but magical Rami around these curly locks-​of-​love again!

Salon has a beautiful welcoming vibe and is located in a plaza with ample parking. The owner, and staff are super friendly and helpful. My biggest compliment however hoes out to my stylist-​Awia-​he is talented, attentive and really goes above and beyond. He will guide out, be honest and always go above and beyond!!! If you are looking to find someone that you can trust with your hair then Awia is your man!

Had an appointment for hair color and cut with Rami, he did a wonderful job. I really liked the way my hair looked when he finished. I will definitely go back soon. I plan on trying more of their services. The staff is so friendly and professional.

They have a very good deal for a groupon. The area and ambiance are very nice as well for a nice relaxing spa day. John, the manager went above and beyond my expectations in making sure I was accommodated and given good customer service. Next time your in the area try them out! :)

Ninos was great at threading eyebrows and he trimmed them nicely too. I was happy because it’s not so easy finding someone good at brows. I wanted a nose wax too, which they don’t normally do, but they offered to thread. Joylana was a master with the thread. So they were very accommodating and friendly ha. The owner is helpful too… so personable. Good family business :)

Had a great first-​time experience! Got a full color and haircut and it turned out super cute!

I went to Scruples for the first time last Friday morning for a much needed, last– minute haircut and style. I found a Groupon but called the salon and was advised they would charge me the discounted price without buying the Groupon. I received a call the day before my appointment asking if they could take me an hour earlier, which worked even better for me. I arrived on time and was brought back right away. Aly cut my hair, and did a fantastic job– she took her time, and was very pleasant and easy to talk to. My hair feels much healthier! I’ll definitely go back and ask for Aly.

There is so many nice things I could say to this salon. First of all the staff are really friendly and even just the receptionist will higher your expectations. I found this salon from groupon and the deal was exceptional $ 109 for haircut, color and treatment. Where can you find a deal like that nowadays? Did not expect a lot prior to my visit because of the price but when I first came in I only went for a strip test for my new hair color and they didn’t charge me for any of that. Awesome! The next couple of days I came back to get my hair done. From my brown hair to blondes I had Avi as my colorist and he was super friendly and super nice and most importantly did awesome things to my hair. I came out looking great! I recommended 5 more people to buy the groupon and all of them love their hair. Would definitely come back when I need fixing to my hair!

Went here because I had a Groupon for a Brazilian Wax and it was a HUGE mistake.
First of all, when I call in to make my appointment the man says «This is the last day the Groupon is $ 35, tomorrow it’ll be $ 40. It would be a big help if you didn’t buy the Groupon and just tell us about the deal when you come in. I’ll put a note in that you saw it when it said $ 35″»
Then when I get there for my 11:00 AM appointment I’m not called until 11:30 AM. Once I get called the secretary walked me into the waxing area where I waited another 5 – 10 minutes. When the woman finally came out I was so tempted to leave– like come on 40 MINUTES late? That’s insane.
I have gotten several waxes before and this was BEYOND painful– practically in tears. The woman tried to calm me down but I literally almost left with half a wax.
FINALLY when I go to pay the woman charges me $ 40.I told her that when I called in they said it would help if I didn’t purchase the Groupon when it was $ 35 but they would still charge me that price. She was like «nono you have to pay $ 40 now» I was LIVID.
Paid $ 40 for a TERRIBLE wax and even more terrible experience. Save your money and go somewhere else.
EDIT: The manager just reached out to me about my experience and was so apologetic– I could tell he was genuinely concerned about my experience and wants to make it right again. I’m definitely going to give Scruples another shot with a different technician, Aster. Guess I just went on an off day and don’t want to put the entire salon at fault for my personal experience. So I’ll change my review to 5 stars for absolutely incredible customer service.

I was worried because I just moved to Glenview, and I didn’t know any stylists here. I took a chance and was absolutely overjoyed. Ninos did my cut and color and he did a fabulous job. Made me comfortable and understood that a girl can be leery trusting her hair to a new stylistm. An overall fabulous job by the whole staff.

Ok, Esther is really great at waxing! Thanks to these Unilocal reviews for guiding me correctly! The European wax they use is hotter (doesn’t burn but feels close), but most importantly, the ripping part I barely felt half the time, and I was done in 10 minutes. Pretty affordable prices too.
