May Palace

This was standard American style Chinese food. Not bad, but nothing special. The Kung Pao Trio and Beef with Vegetables were OK. The service was decent. The place was quiet. This is a short review.

A year later, we stiil remember stumbling onto this wonderful quaint and tasty spot for dinner after skiing. Our Chinese students from Changchun and Guiyang said «it was the best Chinese food discovered so far in all their travels across America.» Kung Pao chicken spicy hot was a favorite. We will be back!

The fact that this is the highest rated Chinese place in town is terrifying. Our waitress couldn’t care less about her job. We actually got up and found a pitcher, went to the kitchen, and filled it. My cup was covered in lipstick so I found a new one to drink out of (by myself, I asked twice).
Food was so slow that the first four in our group finished eating before the last two even were served. The sodas we asked for never came.
Fried rice was gross, maybe it was cut with cous cous?
My standards are already pretty low when I drag my hungover butt out for Chinese food, but this place insisted on digging itself into a deeper grave.

Love this place for Chinese food while in Glenwood — superb service and delicious food every time and we’ve came with 2 – 8 people before. Their veggie dishes are very fresh.

Good food for a decent price. Regular Asian fare — nothing out of the world. Friendly staff.

May Palace is probably the most decent Asian food restaurant you can find in this small town. I haven’t eat such good American Chinese food for long time! The restaurant was very cozy and family friendly. Their waitresses were very sweet and seems know lots of regular customers.
We ordered the Mongolian Lamb with brown rice, Noodle bowl with Tofu. The lamb dish was a bomb, it didn’t have any unpleasant smell of lamb, the meat was tender, juicy and flavorful. The noodle bowl was a little bit bland but tasted great after adding some chili oil.
Their food quantity was just right, it makes you full and warm without giving you the Chinese food coma at all.

I have had takeout from here a couple times, but dined in for the first time yesterday. Our server, an older lady, was super sweet and attentive.
Their lunch specials are a really great deal. I had almond chicken (yum) which came with an egg roll and a crab Rangoon, as well as soup (or salad).
Their sushi rolls are buy one get one free, and they are huge! My friend got 2, one with eel and one with shrimp, and loved them both.
Awesome value, especially for lunch. Great service and a nice, comfortable atmosphere (which you don’t always find at places that do a lot of takeout).

Passing through for work and I stopped to grab dinner. I’m vegan and they were totally awesome and accommodating. The food was delicious. Definitely a good spot.

Ordered the spicy Thai soup (Tom Yum Goong) there, as I was coming down with a head cold… and it did the trick! Really great flavor and perfect portion for a lunch.
My daughter had cucumber sushi, which she liked a lot. Plus an order of potstickers which she said, «best I’ve ever had.»
We ate really well in Glenwood, overall, and she said this was her favorite place.

Excellent experience, the food was great, the waitress was sweet, and the owner was super nice!

PRAISE everything that is good and flavorful, the Mongolian Pork was packed with authentic punch and flavor beyond belief. Chili sauce was offered, and it was good. Service was excellent. Miso soup was great. Good food like this cannot come from any ambiance but the unassuming comfort that this place offers. Eat here, and enjoy!

After a Hike to Hanging Lake, I wanted Food. I seen May Palace. I ordered the Sesame Chicken from a limited menu. The TOGO Menu had way more options. So i suggest grabbing a TOGO menu when you sit down and order off of that.
I went with Egg Drop soup which was delicious.
My Sesame chicken was cooked perfectly, came with rice and broccoli and an Egg roll.
Definitiely a lot of food.
I recommend stopping in.

Very fast service and the food was excellent. I would definitely eat here again. The chicken in hot garlic was spot on in terms of taste and spice.

Happened upon this restaurant as we drove through town and saw the «Phở» sign. Four in our party had the Phở and two others had their sesame chicken combo. All meals were excelent. All the greens were extremely fresh and the wait staff were very friently and attentive. We will definitely return when we are back in the area!

Best Chinese food in town hands down. Reasonable prices and terrific owners. Knows regulars by nsme. Always nice to be greeted with a smile.

After a long day of hiking and the springs, this place hit the spot! We were very pleasantly surprised on how great the Chinese food is here. Being from Cali, we know good Chinese and this didn’t disappoint. Only complaint is portions are kinda small (esp the chicken fried rice). We had 2 shrimp dishes that were amazing. Hunan beef was fantastic too! Great service too.

Food was delicious. We ordered fried rice, Orange chicken, hunan beef, shrimp supreme, honey walnut shrimp. There were no leftovers. Wish we had it for lunch since its cheaper. They have lunch specials.
It’s cute inside. Looks like something in the Rush Hour movie:) Friendly staff too.

Visiting Glenwood Springs, CO and my boyfriend and I were looking for «hole-​in-​the-​wall» Chinese take out. We did our usual search on Unilocal for the local reviews and to try and see which one was the best.
We found this one and decided to give it a shot. We ordered general Tso (we always order this because well… it’s general Tso! And also use it to determine weather the food is good or not!) and the chicken lo-​mein. The Tso was pretty good, a little on the crunchy side, but good. Maybe next time I would order something else… I may or may not get it agin from here. The chicken lo mein was probably the BEST I’ve ever had! I mean this was delicious! Had the perfect amount of sauce, nice, moist big pieces of chicken, the sauce was good and wasn’t too sweet. Seriously my mouth is watering just thinking about it! Omg it was bangin’!

Very nice family run restaurant. Staff is very friendly and will adjust their cooking to fit your needs. We stopped there today on our way through the area. We ordered the Mandarin Chicken special (½ baked chicken with a 5 spice rub), pan fried noodles with chicken, and broccoli in garlic sauce. We normally get turned off by excessive sauce on a dish. The broccoli dish did have a lot of sauce but it really tasted good, The broccoli was cooked properly. The pan fried noodle dish was also very good with a lot of chicken and vegetables in it (not too much sauce). The mandarin chicken dish was my wife’s favorite (I liked it a lot also). Lots of flavor and not dried out.
All in all a very good meal at a reasonable price. We will definitely return if ever in the area again.
