Sunshine Ridge Guest House

For the last 10 years my group of 8 to12, 55+ year old guys have gone skiing out West over Super Bowl weekend. We’re all very good friends, however we all need our own bed. Three years ago I discovered The Sunshine Ridge Guest House. It is the perfect place for my group as it has plenty of beds & bathrooms. It is an absolutely beautiful and spacious home with many amenities. The upstairs has a huge «gourmet» kitchen and dining area with a double sided fireplace, a living room overlooking the mountains and a large outdoor patio with a gas grill. Downstairs is our «Man Cave» with 2 TVs, a pool table and a wine cellar.
The SRGH is a short ride to Sunlight Mountain where the skiing is wonderful!
We have stayed here for the last 3 years and will definitely be back again… this place is amazing!

I have stayed here several times with family and friends and every time I have an amazing experience. It’s not amazing based on one specific thing, but numerous things working well together to take something ordinary and make it extraordinary.
The house itself is amazing. Each room feels unique, but they all have a very comfortable feel and all of them are very spacious. There are several things to do on the property both indoors and outdoors, and there is always something to to no matter what mood you’re in. The pool table, fire place, spacious kitchen and living areas, and TVs are just a few things to keep you occupied if you want to stay indoors, while there is a large deck and porch to take in the amazing views and ample hiking just out the front door, as well as amazing skiing, hiking, or mountain biking within a few miles. I feel like I must also mention that the kitchen has everything you need to take care of a large group and is one of the best kitchens I’ve seen from that standpoint. The house also feels secluded despite it being easy to get to and easy to get into town from the house.
Jim is also amazing and is always a joy to talk to whenever I visit here. He helps out with anything that comes up, whether it’s a question about the house, a request for a good place in town to eat (try The Pullman or Lost Cajun!), or anything else you might need during your stay. He’s lived in the area for many years, is extremely knowledgeable, and loves sharing that knowledge with everyone.
Every time I stay here, I know it will be one of the best trips of the year for me, if not the best. And every time, it is. How many places can you always say about that?

We had a small family wedding at the house, and it was amazing! The views were awesome, the kitchen came stocked with all of the utensils and basic spices you could need, and the laundry machines and detergent were great for washing towels, etc. the next day!
Each room was well appointed and the house was very clean for our arrival. The house comes with a pool table, a $ 10/​bottle honor system wine cellar, board games, and our favorite amenity: a wrap-​around deck and large porch, for soaking in the rays and the views. Highly recommend this mountain gem.

Dream house! First of all I would like to thank Jim for being so helpful and kind. The house has a beautiful layout and great amenities. The views were spectacular. My entire family really enjoyed their stay and were very impressed. I loved the heated floors! The kitchen was awesome. I could keep going and have only positive praise for this wonderful house.
I feel like the pictures do not do it justice, walking in to the place was astonishing. Very clean and welcoming. Sunlight Mountain resort is nearby and we enjoyed two days of snowboarding during our stay. We followed this up with an evening at the hot springs. My favorite place to eat was Peppinos pizza.
Our family really had fun right outside the house, we made snowmen, had snowball fights, and went sledding up and down the hill.
I would definitely recommend this place!

We recently had our wedding in the Aspen area and our immediate families ALL stayed in the Sunshine Ridge Guest House. This place was amazing, plenty big for all of us (5 couples and 5 kids), had beautiful and high end furnishings and the new patio addition with an outdoor shelter was perfect. The view was gorgeous. None of the pictures do the house or view justice. We wanted for nothing and they went above and beyond to meet our needs. HIGHLY recommend this place (and I’m a tough critic!)

We are a collegiate nordic ski team and have stayed at this property for several years. We stay at vacation rental all around the nation and this one is top-​notch! Fantastic kitchen, garage, extremely nice rooms with comfortable beds. We generally have between 15 – 18 people and we are all comfortable and if someone doesn’t want to share the couch is amazing! We are also all able to eat at once on the two large tables.
Everything is extremely well cared for and beautifully decorated.
The only thing I am sorry about is that we are only there for the weekend and are racing most of the time because it’s such a wonderful and comfortable place to stay.
